Oh yeah, I ignored the poll part. but still, expect or accept? peace lew http://www.exitshot.com

Do you mean accept or expect? Unlike everyone who's responded so far, I read this as what do you want to get out of life, not out of another person... peace lew http://www.exitshot.com

Yoshi, Definitely. We have a really nice tunnel here so you should visit here first :) I know, I was back for the xmas party for Richmond in Cincinnati and it was wierd. Those I recognized were all hugs and so great to see, the other half were new faces. So strange to think I don't know people who's home dz is Richmond. I guess it's been a long time... And I still can't go back to "The" Boogie this year because of Nationals... I still miss you guys back there in Ohio, go shovel some snow for me while I go skydiving peace lew http://www.exitshot.com

I know, I moved like a year and a half ago, but this time I'm really changing my phone number. So if any of you have my old 513 area code number, it's gone. I now have a 951 area code and new number. PM me if you feel worthy of knowing it. peace lew http://www.exitshot.com

The rebel is ok, cheap, but i'd upgrade a little with an Elan. Of course, what I'd really do is go digital. I mean, do store still process that film stuff? oh btw, i have an A2E somewhere, if you're interested, i'll sell it cheap. It uses that old film stuff. peace lew http://www.exitshot.com

You've probably strained it, to some degree. Sorry to quote another website, but this explains it better than i could. see here. http://www.exitshot.com

I just got a call that I have wanted for 35 years
lewmonst replied to Duckwater's topic in The Bonfire
That's great. My oldest brother and my mom were adopted. My mom found my brothers biological family and her own biological family. My mom had been searching for years. She'd always said she just wanted to meet her biological mother to tell her how grateful she was to be alive. Her biological mother had passed away when she found a brother, but I think the message got through. Both my mom and brother were happy to find relatives and answers, and even more appreciative of their adoptive families. My mom visits her new brothers and sisters regularly. Congrats. peace lew http://www.exitshot.com -
Thanks Sarah! I'm glad I'm not the only one... I've never had this problem with hotmail before. I still owe you a PM reply... peace lew http://www.exitshot.com

I've tried resaving the images with new names and still no luck. any ideas? thanks lew http://www.exitshot.com

You are already doing non-linear editting, so I doubt I'd convince you to switch over. But, for tandem videos, I'm a huge fan of linear editting. It takes around 6 minutes, the length of the video, and there's no computer, no rendering time, no capture time, etc. Our product is just as good as if it came from the computer because we're effective at using the mixing board, adding a few effects and mixing music appropriately, and using a few still captures. No need for too many effects, it detracts from the video. We just use a DVD recorder just like a VCR, hit record and edit realtime using a mixing board. On busy saturdays, we have a dedicated editor, that can easily do 50+ tandem videos on the one set-up. Our DVD's come with a leader pre-recorded that is basically a promotion of the dz and skydiving, eye candy clips... In the title menu, the customer can chose to watch it or skip it and go straight to their video. As for a mini-DV player, they are more expensive than a camera but are far more robust for extensive use of playback. I don't know how many videos you do in a week, but if you're really hard on your capture device, the mini-DV player will last longer than a camera. That may not help you with your computers set-up, but the DVD recorder with mixer is just the easiest, fastest way to go. peace lew http://www.exitshot.com

Aw, , Thanks. So... maybe she's talking about these two. peace lew http://www.exitshot.com -
Ok, I found out that the T3 remote adapter with older EOS cameras has to be used with a 2 stage switch, which the conceptus is not. And on the older EOS cameras are not programmed to know what to do when both the focus and release are triggered at the same time, which is what the conceptus does. Newer cameras are, the rebel, elan etc... So, you will probably have to rig up your own switch for that EOS. I would like to here if Conceptus has a solution to this. peace lew http://www.exitshot.com

anyone here design and print bussiness cards for extra cash?
lewmonst replied to bigway's topic in The Bonfire
I designed and printed my own cards using Photoshop and a printing service website. I'll have to search around again as to which website, But I got them in a week and the cards are really nice. Here's what my cards look like. edit to add: I've never done this as a service for someone, but would. When would you need them by? If you want, PM me a rough idea of what you want on the cards, 1 sided or 2 sided? I'll let you know what i think... peace lew http://www.exitshot.com -
Interesting indeed. The 20D does not have the 2.5mm jack nor is there an appropriate adapter. It has the same plug (N3) as the 10D. I've been having trouble with my radio-shacked switch that worked fine on my 10D with my old conceptus. I thought I had just shorted the soldering job from the 3 wire N3 adapter to the 2 wire conceptus... I actually just tried the RA-N3 to the T3 to the conceptus, just for kicks before I went back to radio shack, and that didn't work. And I tried a new conceptus, and that cause it to fire continuously... So I'm not sure what's up. I think I'm going to have to make a new switch from scratch. Keep me posted on what you find out. Sorry I wasn't more helpful! peace lew http://www.exitshot.com

I'm not a doc, but I agree, it doesn't look aligned very well. I don't have a copy of my x-rays at that stage, but mine looked a lot better. It looks like the diameter of the rod they chose to put in is too small and allows that seperation that appears. Again, I'm not a doc, I've only been through it. I just hope it heal well. It looks like there still a few mm's of overlap in the broken bone(s). I hope that leg doesn't end up shorter than the other one. Again, I'm not a doc. But I can sympathize with your pain. Hang in there. I also hope those screws don't cause you the trouble mine did. I can say, if you brake something in Rantoul, insist on going straight to the Carle trauma center. My doc wasn't very friendly, but he did a good job on realigning the bones. peace lew http://www.exitshot.com

Really? That's odd. I don't have that camera, but according to the specs that adapter should work with this which is the remote shutter for all the more common Canon film cameras we jump, the Rebel and Elan, etc., which all work just fine with the conceptus. I'm interested in hearing what Conceptus says... What kind of mal are you having with it, does it not fire at all, or does it fire continuously? peace lew http://www.exitshot.com

Ditto on Ritz. Do a search on here about Ritz's ESP (Extended Service Plan). It's more than an extension of the manufacturer's warranty, it a warranty on any accidental damage ("except fire", but I even got a 10D replaced that was in a fire. There's a long old thread on that story...) Most other extended warranty only cover manufacturer's defects or problems like that. If it's dropped and broken, it's not likely covered unless you get the Ritz warranty. It is a pricy warranty though. And depending on your homeowner's or renter's insurance/deductible, it might be more cost effective to cover it that way. I'd go with Ritz though. But don't get it online, go into a store, and talk to the manager or someone who really knows what they're doing. peace lew http://www.exitshot.com

Nice Ray. Very cool. As for feedback, I agree with what everyone else has said. I also agree that each cameraflyer develops their own style. I've see all of the exit types done well, and I've seen them all done poorly. Team training is just as much cameraflyer training, and is invaluable. I'll see if I have anything to contribute. What's the best format to send it to you in? peace lew http://www.exitshot.com
