    Do you? The pertinent fact is that TK did NOT have the commercial rating, regardless of the number of hours. Agreed. An Otter flies just like a big 182? Is that in your professional opinion as an instructor pilot for both aircraft, perchance? My point is if he can fly an Otter he can fly a 182. I wouldn't think twice about getting in one with him. You and everyone else are free to make your own choices and continue to blow this out of shape and size. I find it more disturbing that Billy called the FAA then TK flying a couple loads in a 182 without being commercially rated in a single.

    John, You have no idea how much experience or how many hours TK may or may not have in a C-182. While I agree he should not have done what he did, it is far from the worst thing that has ever happened on a DZ. You are blowing this Waaaaay out of proportion. An Otter flys just like a big 182.

    The standard scam is that once you talk to them, they will send a check of money order for a grossly excessive amount to pay for the services. Then they'll ask for you to refund the difference. Because international checks and money orders take weeks to fully process, by the time the bank figures out the original check was bogus, you've already mailed the refund. The bank sees the bounced check, reverses the funds they credited you, and you're hosed. _Am Had a friend that got one of those on some gear he had for sale. We let them send the check then e-mailed pictures of a DZ party and told them we spent their money on the party and told them to fuck off.

    Yes, and if every DZ stopped dealing with them the problem would be solved. The DZs that do business with them suck as bad as Skyride does. Plain and simple. You should tell the DZs you are working with that part of your deal is they quit accepting Skyride.
