  1. Yep, cause it's all fun and games till you have to land between the chain link fence and the cloths line.
  2. While a 1.1 wing loading is not an aggressive loading, anyone who would give you canopy advice having never seen you land a parachute is a fool.
  3. Yup, the Mountain boogie in '05 was the last one, that's when I met all of you guys thanks to PsychoBob! My life hasn't been the same since. Mountain boogies were in the fall, Dublin in the spring. I went to Dublin '06, '07, St. Mary's '08, and then all 3 (yes I said all THREE) Fitzgerald boogies. But I do have a t-shirt from every St. Patrick's day boogie you've thrown, and Bolas has it right of course. Bolingbroke was the 1st one..... And the Mountain boogie turned into Roaming Rafting, every year since '05. I've been to every one of those too. Good times!!! Which brings up an interesting question. What do you mean by all 3? Also, there was an event between the last event in Bolingbroke and the first Dublin Boogie...anyone...anyone.
  4. As it stands now, same as last year. Registration $35 Jump tickets $25 Balloon jumps $90 Observer ride $30 airplane If gas and JetA prices continue to climb I may need to adjust a few dollars here or there but right now this is the plan. is a shirt included in the registration or separate? No shirt included. Although you were probably kidding, the reason I don't include a shirt in registration is I don't sell out to the manufacturers and allow them to turn my boogie shirt into a big advertisement. We have a quality, custom, different shirt every year.

  6. Partially correct. The Mountain Boogies where actually the same time frame as Dublin, '04 and '05 if I remember correct. In October in Andrews,NC.
  7. Can anyone out there tell me what preceded Dublin?
  8. At least someone got my point. I seriously am curious how many people here don't know what I am talking about. In March it will have been 4 yrs. Turnover in the sport now is about 3-5yrs. How many of you see Dublin Boogie and say to yourself, "WTF is he talking about.
  9. I like the ones that realize they have the wrong number and just hang up. I like to block my number then call them back and raise hell.
  10. Check with these guys Dublin Boogie I got a url I'll sell them.
  11. Ooops, meant to put this in the bonfire.
  12. Who here has never heard of it?
  13. You can find him in Fitzgerald, bring him a T-shirt and subscription so I can advertise that the St.Patricks Boogie is sponsored.
  14. My point was that maybe someone close by might invite you to jump with them somewhere. Don't make things harder then they need to be.
  15. I wanted to remind everyone we will be transmitting manifest on an FM station so you can hear it where ever you are. Bring a portable radio if you would like to take advantage of this. You should be able to tune in from the hotels in town. Frequency to be announced.
  16. Balloon jump info posted at www.RoamingOutDoors.com in the forums. I have arranged for Ed our trusted balloon pilot that flew for us last year to bring a balloon (possibly two)to the boogie. I will edit this post with details for payment options and # of jumpers on a load. The cost will be $90.If I decide to accept PayPal any and all fees will be added. You can get on the list by posting here and mailing a check to the address below. We hope to fly one load Thurs afternoon then two loads each Fri. and Sat. and one load Sun morning. Some of the loads on Fri. and Sat. may be double hops which would increase the number of slots available. You will be able to request a time slot but I highly recommend taking the first slot that is offered to you. These things are a pain in the ass to pull off, especially multiple flights,so please be patient, cooperative and respectful to those trying to make this happen for you. If you would like a slot, post here and mail a check made out to RoamingDZ.com for $90 to the address below. Include with your check your user name, your real name, your e-mail address and when you would like to make your jump. You will receive an e-mail when I get your check and your name will be added to this post. RoamingDZ.com P.O. Box 363 Bolingbroke,Ga 31004 Please do not reserve a slot if you are not sure you will be attending. If you fail to show up you will get your money back at my convenience. I know this sounds rude, this is for the people who send money and then want their money back while I'm setting up for or running a boogie.
  17. I think that is just a combustion heater, not a turbine.
