My first was a camera jump.Ran to the hanger grabbed my other rig and jumped on the next load. My second was on the sunset load. My third I had to go find some of my shit. .

I go skydive for a weekend,come back and there are 4 pages of threads with new posts in the bonfire.I didn't know the weather was that bad this weekend. .

My thoughts in no real order - Farm ,it's already been there.This would only be appropriate if the Orfuns are claming a "home" dropzone - Tullahoma, TN ,I've never been there,might be fun,should be easy to get a plane - Mountain Boogie (Andrews, NC) Orfuns would be welcome at the Mountain Boogie - West Coast anywhere ,Too far for most Orfuns but there is an event being planned out there in Sept. - St Mary’s ,Don't know anything about this airport or the local climate towards jumpers - Chester SC ,I'm going to Chester in two weeks,this is fine if you do it then - Statesboro, GA ,No camping on the airport - St George SC ,Great place and a whole dropzone of Orfuns that would probably come out to support this - Destin, FL ,Going to Destin next week.You better hurry if your going to have it there. - McMinnville ,I think with proper planning this would be a good spot also.I think we could get Marvin to help us. I hope it doesn't take y'all as long to decide this as it did to get the T-shirts. .

Thats right kids here are the beach jumps you have all been asking for and to top that off listen to this. RoamingDZ.com is in cooperation with Skydive Atlanta on this one so instead of some cramped Cessna we'll be riding to altitude in Skydive Atlantas Super Kingair. Details will be posted here and at RoamingDZ.com but here is what I can tell you now.We will be jumping onto Noreaga Point located just a few minutes from the Destin Airport.The airplane will be there first thing Saturday morning so plan on getting there early and get some jumps in before it gets too hot and hell when you get hot take a swim,cool off and then jump some more. We'll look into doing another cookout on the beach Saturday night like we did last year.Shrimp,grilled steak and fish.....Mmmmm.Plan on staying to party on the beach. There will be a $20 registration fee to help cover the expenses and jump tickets will be $23.I know,I know but fuel down there is nearly $2 a gal. more than what it is in Thomaston and after all Trey is closing the dropzone for the weekend so we can go to the beach and have some fun.So all of you people that have been asking here it is.Get on the list. Oh yeah you need a B licence and flotation gear to jump.If you don't have that come for the party. Ok kids heres some hotel info.If we can get 10 rooms booked at the Destin Inn and Suites they will give us a reate of $120.This is where we stayed last year and it was an ok hotel.I'm trying to get them to just go ahead and give us the rate,I'm waiting for a call back.This place is about a 1/4 mile from where we are on the beach.Mention the skydiver group when you call. Bring the puppy to the dz,also bring a big stick.If the puppy does something "wrong" and someone raises hell,hit that person with the stick.Sooner or later either the puppy with learn to behave or the people will learn to chill the fuck out. After a weekend from hell,not my stay at Emerald Coast but the trip there and back,and getting the news about Shannon,I must bring you another bit of bad news.A friend we knew here in Georgia and Florida as New York Brian,Daskal here on DZ.com took his own life this past weekend.It is my understanding that he was upset about having failed the bar exam for the second time.I had not seen him recently so I don't know what else might have been going on in his life.Brian was a good person,one of those that would do anything for a friend. People this should never be thought of as an option.Everything,no matter what it is that is going on in your life,is temporary.I don't care what you think you can't handle this is not the way.Find help!!Find help in your friends,find help in a church,find help at a hospital,FUCK,write a note,staple it to your shirt and then go drink till you pass out somewhere that someone will find you.Brian was in his early 20s.From what I understand he was worried about letting down the people around himand keeping others happy.Fuck all that,stay alive and make yourself happy. .
