  1. So basically no discussion regarding strategies to reduce these types of occurences can be had? They are just a fact of life, nothing can be done, move along, nothing to see here. I do not think we do nothing... there are laws, punishments, etc. Also, this is a great reason why we should have the right to bear arms. I think even you have stated that you see no reason to carry a gun. Well here is your reason... nut jobs exist. (period) I choose to protect myself and my family by having a firearm on me. . How well did the CCW holders protect themselves in this event? We have been told repeatedly how CCW laws will prevent events like this. You have no idea if there was another gun holder in the theater.
  2. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wWoLGC-n4i4 This is where you say this doesn't count for one reason or another.
  3. he would have found it a fuck load hader to do if he had less guns or even NO guns (perish the thought) We don't live in that world and never will. Criminals will always have weapons so it's best to learn to defend yourself. You do it your way, I'll do it mine. If you want to throw rocks then by all means that is your right.
  4. Really? How would you do that in a darkened theater, with a gunman dressed in black who drops tear gas and is wearing a flak jacket? I'd aim for his fucking head. Especially when he stopped to reload Apparently he had 4 guns, and when one came up empty, he just switched. I bet he would have found it harder to stand there and shoot if someone was shooting back. Can you do this while there's tear gas irritating you? Have you actually practiced this? No I haven't, but put in the situation I'd damn sure give it a try.

  7. That shit never happened. They didn't have the technology back then to pull it off.
  8. Can't comment much without getting this thrown into SC. There's nothing you can do to help fix all the defective people in the word but you can damn sure protect yourself.
  9. A tid bit of history here: The Nova 7 was an actual reserve canopy that never went into full production. It was in fact, TSO'd and a few were built! Chris Gay had a 77 sq ft model IIRC. Quite the swoop machine BTW! MEL The Nova: The canopy that flew great till it collapsed. They just never figured out how to market that.
  10. No one here is denying that Shah is a problem.
  11. If I had time I'd straighten all of that out for you but you made it too damn long.
  12. My first thought is that I'm not going to brand someone with a derogatory label unless I know more about the facts. Perhaps what you deem to be "an issue" is not seen so by him. And just because there is a difference of opinion, doesn't mean the other guy has some psychological problem. I'm not joining a lynch mob unless I know for sure that it's deserved. So why don't you tell us more about this "issue" that you're concerned about. Describe the nature of it. Spoken like a politician. First, it's not that serious of a thread. I'm not trying to have someone commited. Second, It's pattern of behavior among a group that I use to associate with, it's not one issue and it's not one person. It's a big enough issue that the group has split twice in a year and a half. Third, if you don't want to play...don't
  13. I think this has it for the group while Natalys apperception may address the individual behavior. There is one more layer to this and that is the people who will discuss issues with you privately but refuse to speak out in a grop setting or public forum. I can understand not wanting to speak in front of a group because many don't like that but I can't understand not being able to express ones self in writing.
  14. Interesting answers, Keep going please.
  15. I'm thinking it's somewhere between a pack mentality thing and some sort of denial.
  16. Is there a psychological term for someone who would defend a group or club against someone bringing up an issue/problem rather than admit there is an issue/problem and try to deal with it. My first thought was human nature. (jk) I don't think this falls within pack mentality
  17. Groupon use to let you have discussions but there was so much negative they stopped doing it. Groupon is a cancer. Not use them.
  18. Hell no. She should take it off now.

  21. This place went down hill when they started trying to clean it up for the sale. The sale I predicted when the moderating got over bearing.
