What can we do about Skyride?

I disagree that nothing has been done.Many DZOs have improved their advertising and the Skyride crap in many instances is not the first think to pop up on a web search.The public is more aware of the practices of Skyride,Thrill Planet and the other names(that escape me at the moment) that are used to confuse the consumer. As to weather or not this thread has done any good,I believe it has.It has made people aware of what Skyride is and kept it toward the front of their minds not forgotten.Which is how Ben and Cary started and grew this business,forgotten and working in the shadows. As for your last sentence.If that is true then just fix it and everyone will love you. -

They are a nation wide marketing company owned by the same guys that own Atlanta Skydiving Center in Cedartown,Ga.They sell gift certificates for tandems,have fake websites for dropzones that do not exist to confuse the customers,steal phone numbers from dead DZOs,and many times send people on cross country goose chases to use the certificates because no one will take them in the area that they are sold.Thats about it in a nut shell. Oh I forgot steal photos to use on their websites and copy complete websites to further confuse the customers.There just a great group of folks.A real asses,I mean asset to the skydiving community. -

If you think this is bad you should go hang out in the Speakers Corner.If it were a great idea people would not be looking for them.The same goes for skydiving.If it were the best idea no one would die from it.I defend the right for stratostar to ponder this question.Maybe you should go find a better touchie feelie forum.

An 18 way where half the people don't get in,so you track long pull a little low and your canopy decides to take 1300 ft to inflate,and you find a few other people down there with you.Not that that has ever happened to me but that would be it. -
