I fractured my spine at about 130 jumps.I was out for 3 months. No huge problem coming back. You will remember the basics. What kind of fracture do you have? March or April sounds like a long time.

There are many threads on the topic. Do a search for all the reading you care to do. The short answer is, It is not illegal. You must contact Air Traffic Control prior to the jump and have the land owners permission where you intend to land. It is a good idea to file a NOTAM (Notice to Airmen). This is information that is given to pilots that will be flying in the area so they know you will be jumping. This will not keep air traffic from being in the area so be careful and spot good.The life you save might be your own. -

Also consider if you go through Atlanta you can also go through Macon. Macon is another city that was not burned during the civil war. There is alot of history here and we have the Georgia Music Hall of Fame.
