I concede it was of bad taste, but I do get the same feeling from the old continent, superiority complex issues as well, and plain hatred for Americans, not from recent, but from quite a while now. Lived in England for 3 years, and the only place on earth where i was subject to racial discrimination, by my school peers.....and pretty much everywhere I went.Not many fonds memories there. Never happened again anywhere else where I've been. (7 more countries in 2 more continents) Not one country is ever going to be perfect, and there is good people and bad people everywhere we go. It is just that most of you immediately assume these uncultured americans type of attitude, that is inappropiate. On the other hand, I think many lessons you have learned, and the best proof of that is the intention of unification you all have over there. You are right, but still, way too many, use the law to get even, when things just don't go the way they planned..., not because they actually need to "protect" themselves. I think this is the point of concern. It is fairly easy and more common than you can imagine, that in Massachusetts when a woman no longer wants her hubby, she only has to go to court and request such an order to get him completely out of her life. And I mean they send him out wihtout even packing his things..... If Kev is right, and prooves that he is so, they still will give her the benefit of the doubt. See the options of you requesting hers to be vacated, and having one of yours instated, that way, she will not even be able to call you. Kevin, sorry to hear all that crap about the restraining order. It happens, and I don't understand why didn;t you go to court after the violent episode with her a few days or weeks back. What is done is done. Document every day of what you do, whom you are with, at all times as possible. In my case it was me filing an order against the whacko, but in that situation, men still on the losing end. IT sucks but it is reality. So, get a copy of the police report, have those tapes transcribed by a court approved party, so that way you can have some work done before your court order. And if it does not bother you, when you go to court, try having the jude vacate your order, by a request of one of yours against her. better you having the protection, once you have proof she is the one menacing you. Tell them that you are afraid she will go to your house and harm you, and that you are really concerned about your well being. No bullshit no quarters. It can work for us too, don't let the lawyer agree with anything less than that or else you will be screwed...... Good luck.
