No offense, but did you proof read this before you posted? Hmmmm...Yea... If you enter the sport of BASE thinking you won’t get hurt...Then you need to stick to skydiving. Everyone is BASE gets hurt, and if you haven't...Its only a matter of time. Coco

Can someone put it up on SDM.com?? Coco

Tom, That sure is a lotta extra bridle. "Shaking head” that’s not too safe! Adorable dude! Coco

Here is mine, my first aerial and it was in Skydive Mag. Coco

That’s a good way to put it. The time between when I arrive (climb, gear up, exit, freefall, and land) and leave with a big smile on my face is the happiest I've ever been. Nothing gives me a greater feeling of joy and fulfillment than BASE has. Like Hookitt said, I too wanna fly. Makes you feel free (a feeling totally different from skydiving in my opinion). Coco

I can't put mine into words but I know why the moment I step off the edge. For me...its worth every risk. Coco

Jeez Ray, you're reminding me of "Debbie Downer" - Saturday Night Live Character Coco

Know what you are trying to say but... Sadly True..... Coco

Firstly – I didn’t start this post, so I wasn’t “looking for attention”. It came to me. Not that I care Chris. Like I said before, it’s all good. I liked the pics and the sign. Good Stuff. Secondly - I was asked to post the video. I didn’t start a post and say “hey everyone look at my jump that didn’t go quite as planned.” And I put other jumps on there to show that I do have abilities other than flailing around. I couldn’t get the gainer to go over so I barrel rolled out of it and pitched. Nothing new, others have done that many a time on regular gainers without the addition of being thrown off the object. And the only issue with my double reverse was the pull sequence which as stated by a very well know and respected jumper through a PM “I thought your double looked fine until the pitch sequence. That is however, the most important part, and can't really be practiced in the gym.” That will come with time and practice. Whether I have 500 jumps or 58 that could still be an issue and can’t be learned on the ground. I have made every conscious effort to safely prepare myself for the very basic aerials that I do. Thirdly – I have shown an excellent attitude on this board up until my last post where I showed some sarcasm and disgust. There are plenty of times when I have caught shit for comments or what not, stated my case and handled it in a professional matter, right, wrong or indifferent. I’ve actually been commended quite a few times on my positive attitude in handling criticism and accepting advice. Coco Edit for spelling

No…..Slider off…Nothing like a 7 second delay slider off to wake you up in the morning. YUP! I’ve got at least 30 Double reverses from 900+, a few double fronts, and lots of single reverses. Through watching the videos I have shot of my jumps in freefall I can see it takes ~200 feet or less to do two rotations. I haven’t had any issues with over/under rotations and have been exiting my rotations into tracks very smoothly. You yourself even said the double was nice until the early pull. The pull sequence is more difficult than coming out into a track in my opinion and as I do it more and more it will get better and cleaner. Yes I’m less conservative than most but that’s my comfort zone. If you didn’t when you were at my level than that’s you. Faber’s got almost 300 and he has yet to do anything but flat and stable he says. That’s his comfort zone and I respect that. Ya know what…Whatever dude! There are tons of people out there that have done stupider shit than that and had scarier jumps than I have had. I’ve heard many stories about other jumpers that have had some major fuck ups and they weren’t even doing anything out of the norm. They just don’t show the video or talk about them so no one ever knows but their jump buddies. It was a fun jump and it gave a few people some laughs. Just let it be. How’s that sound Jimmy?? Coco

Well I do apologize if it puts off that perception but the main cause to that was I couldn’t stop laughing at myself once I touched down. I guess because I was laughing so much I found it so difficult to control my canopy. My bad! Thank you. I did a flat and stable 3 second delay from 600 from one of my local A’s the day before I came out and then I did 3 singles from the bridge before the double. Oh I definitely agree! All of my aerials are done from 900 or 1150 so up until now I would simply come out of the flip into a track and would track until deployment. After my 3 singles I decided I wanted to give the double a try. I’ve been talking with someone through pm’s who has much more training and experience with aerials then myself and most of what has been said here technique wise he advised me on also after seeing the video. I definitely have a lot to work on in cleaning up my aerials. I seem to have pretty good constancy with my doubles from 900 so I felt I should be ok doing one from the bridge (good rotation speed without over/under rotations). At the least it would be much smarter to do so on an S and not an A. I’ve seen a few videos of people doing them at TF and ended up over/under rotating which created off headings and line twists. I’d rather have that on an S than an A. You’re right on that one too! I was going to purchase a pair of Hanwags while I was out there but changed my mind. A few peoples comments about them turned me away along with the bright blue color. Someone made a good point that they are not very inconspicuous. Also there was a comment about difficulty in running out fast landings with them. But I did just purchased a pair of hiking boots from Columbia Sportswear. Waterproof, darker color and decent ankle protection. So I got that covered. Yes skydiving full face helmets don’t do much but it’s definitely better than nothing. I did purchase a snowboarding helmet (Boeri Tactic) but I didn’t like it very much. I jumped it a handful of times and it wasn’t comfortable so I started wearing my old full face. At the least if I had a bad landing and smacked my head on the ground or on a rock it would help a little. But yea major impact it won’t do much. Np bro, I’ve got thick skin I don’t mind. And like you said your not a flawless aerialist. We all start somewhere and no one is going to do them perfectly starting out. I've spent time in a gym (and will be doing much more), very closely watched video's of others who have excellent technique, and spoken with those who know what thy are doing. There really isn't much more you can do to prepare yourself other than doing it (starting off on higher objects as I have done) and learning as you go. Just like in skydiving, I was flying nine way head down last summer but a few hundred jumps before I was lucky if I could dock. Just takes practice, debriefing and more training. Tree – Got it! Thanks. Yes I do need to keep my legs together. That will come with more work in the gym. Also working on getting some harness training going. That will help drastically. Coco P.S. Thank you tree and everyone else for the advice and analysis of my jump. I appreciate the constructive criticism and it will definitely aid in my progression.

Dude that sign is so sweet! I love it! Thanks Chris! Coco

OMG that was a hilarious jump!!!! ummmmm "nice gainer"? Come on now...that shit was ugly as hell. We under prepped that jump and I pushed off too early so I had too much forward momentum. I had to flail like a bitch to get that gainer to go over. It was a blast though. Haha yea I know you liked that one Brit. I’ll load it up right now. It will be under the name my buddy josh gave it, “the retard jump.” I'll put one of my double reverses up too so you get the best and worse my TF jumps. Coco

YES!! Thank you Abbie and the Locals! TF is definitely an awesome place. Not only does the bridge kick ass but it’s also great how much the towns people enjoy our presence. I was stopped by a very professionally dressed gentleman in a gas station because he saw I had a BASE shirt on. He told me how much he enjoyed watching all the BASE jumpers leap from the bridge and thanked me for bringing some life to the town. I said “No Sir, Thank you!!! Thank you for being apart of such a wonderful community that welcomes people like myself to easily take part in such a wonderful sport. It’s greatly appreciated!” He shook my hand and told me to “be safe out there”. That was pretty cool. Coco

99 Most Bizarre Stunt Disasters It was only a few min segment but it was interesting. Wire wrap from 1500 footer. Guy said he climbed his lines and then the guy wire back to the Antenna. That’s pretty amazing! Is it just me, or does anyone else hate when BASE is labeled as a "stunt" or we are called daredevils. Coco

I agree! I found it very beneficial. Coco

I learned not to forget my precious Red Bull when faced with 10 climb outs. For each time I climbed out my double reverses got sloppier. The T-stake doesn’t help you maintain energy!!!! I want my money back. I also learned that Matt can't hold his liquor!!! Coco

Smoke stacks are O's also. Coco

Sorry I don't skydive much anymore. More into BASE. But I guess I will have to go back to the dz soon so I can take my WS to Swiss Valley next summer. Coco

Did anyone else’s parachutist come all fucked up this month? Mine is printed crooked and cut all screwy. Half of some pages are not even on the page. Some BS! Also. What discipline is CF??? Canopy formation?? I thought that was CRW. Coco
