Wisconsin democrats leave state to avoid union vote
dmcoco84 replied to regulator's topic in Speakers Corner
I sure did! So, first off. You just lumped our Armed Forces in with State Government employees. Nope sorry... big difference. AND... this change in WI DOES NOT affect FF or Police. Again, why should State Government employees get pensions? -

Oh, I fully understand the contract issue... But, why should public employee's get pensions in the first place? That is what I'm asking. Public employee's work for citizens/private sector... not the other way around. -

Wisconsin democrats leave state to avoid union vote

That is way beside the point, if even true. These are changes that every state is going to have to make. (Granted, with some various depending on the state) Just like in NJ... -

The Cap Times... your progressive voice Lovely... but you didn't obey the progressives, Fairness Doctrine. I'll help. http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2011/feb/18/obamas-war-on-democracy/ The public educators engaged in the demonstrations, many of whom earn more than $100,000 in salary and benefits, ... These demonstrations may be dramatic and TV-friendly, but White House operatives and their union cronies are on the wrong side of history. The American people are fed up with a sense of entitlement, waste and abuse in government service. Americans in the private sector have lost jobs, been forced to take pay cuts to continue working and have reduced spending just to make ends meat. Government workers face no such jeopardy and instead enjoy automatic raises, regardless of performance. The measures causing all the ruckus in Wisconsin would require public-sector employees (excluding police and firefighters) to contribute half of their pension costs and at least 12 percent of their health care costs, which is a better deal than most Americans get. The public sector employees also would lose collective bargaining rights for anything other than pay. These are reasonable sacrifices to make in a time of fiscal crisis, and by resisting them, the demonstrators expose themselves as selfish and unreasonable. Sad watching yall argue over D and R bullshit, when they are the same damn thing.... PROGRESSIVE! Arguing the facts, and having common sense is far more... productive. There is No Money... We Are Broke... Party... OVER! -
If we were functioning properly under the Constitution, having no Controlled Substances Act: Marijuana would be legal is several states... and more than half of the states would eventually allow it for medical use. Meth, Cocaine, Crack, PCP... I highly doubt any state would allow these for medical uses, let alone be legal. We use cocaine in the ER to stop bad nose bleeds... past that, it has no other benefits that I know of. Heroine... Does have medical uses. Legal - likely nowhere. Things like Opioids, Benzo's, Antibiotics, would all be by prescription only... just as they are now. The point is... the Federal Government doesn't have the right to do what they are doing: States Rights. Lets the States decide for themselves! Hooked: History of Illegal Drugs http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=umq6H3aJfwE Edit to Add: Ecstasy - Definitely for Medical Uses - Great for our vets with PTSD. LSD, Psilocybin - Definitely Legal

Because Conservatism is flawed. Constitutional Conservatism is Better.

Sigh... A one time inference that is so incredibly misrepresented. I will bring this up as well... totally not going there now.

Yeeeeees... puzzled Hence, seems an appropriate word. There is a God, a creator of some kind... therefore, the concept of Natural Law applies. There is no God, (evolution is not related to God and we somehow came from nothingness with no form of intelligent design) therefore, the concept of Natural Law is Bull Shit. Well... I believe in God. Jefferson believed in God. Hence... for this reason... we believe in Natural Law. I didn't say I knew it to be true. I have stated the understandings that the Founders came to, and what they gave us within our Republic... and I will be getting much deeper into what they believed soon. But I have been wicked busy studying for National Registry Paramedic testing... I'm posting during my breaks. Yes, I take many breaks, because of ADD.
-
No... it wasn't. That to secure these rights, governments are instituted among men. Now that you answered my "guess what I'm thinking" question... we can move on. And I'll prove what I have been saying. Spelling

Woops... yea, ya got me. I looked back at it and saw the first absolutely, accidentally. My bad. THANK YOU! For fucks sake! If you type... "what influenced the DOI"... into Google, its the first fucking result! NIGHTINGALE for President!

"puzzled" Are you saying, that I said it was the other way around? Same thing Quade said... incorrect. Personally, I'm not sure if Jesus even Existed... let alone is a savior. I believe in God... so did Jefferson. The simple principle that there is some form of a creator. Hence... Natural Law applies. Whether its a Personal God (able to intervene) or Clock Maker God. Our life comes from God. Never heard that one before... Can't agree or disagree, at the moment. Which started with FDR and one very specific court case, over Wheat, that if overturned, would destroy the Federal Governments continued abuses of the Commerce Clause. What? They should be, WITHOUT, a constitutional amendment? So then why did they need an amendment to ban alcohol? Alcohol is 100%, a drug.

I'm not playing word games... Jefferson believed in God. He was not religious. I don't need terms. Call him a zipitydooda-ist... Whatever, he believed in God.
-
Agreed... How would you define it then?
-
So we are on the same page... which Deist? http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&defl=en&q=define:deist&sa=X&ei=cvZZTdOnBIiCgAer5LSeDQ&sqi=2&ved=0CBMQkAE Cause I agree, he wasn't religious... but he was, a Theist, by above definition.

This is a Natural Law thread... if that's what you got from what I wrote, you need to read it again. Correction: Needed ---> Wanted They feared central government. The Founders wanted as much power as possible in the localities. The Articles of Confederation gave ALL the power to the states... it failed. It was too weak, too close to Anarchy. Total Government --------Progressivism----------------------Republic-------AOC------ Anarchy Communism Nazism Maoism Stalinism Total control vs. Anarchy Democrat and Republican - Left and Right - - - - IS FAKE John McCain vs Obama..... Bud Light vs Budweiser A little less Big Bloated Government vs. Big Bloated Government. ********* D TG ---Progressive-----------R-----AOC--- Anarchy ********* R Pretty Simple... We have a one party system. Shrug... Shrug... ok, lol. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WrjwaqZfjIY Kneejerk? No... I expected liberal/progressive revisionism. Wilson's father was a preacher. He knew the only way to "Progress Past" the constitution was to separate the people from God, from our Founding principles, and from the truth about the Founders. Progressive... what are you progressing to? How do you progress past, "All men are created equal." Remember what I said: Frederick Douglas called the DOI and the Constitution, after he ACTUALLY read it... an Anti Slavery Document. It's not my fault that people consistently are unable to separate religion and God. Noooo, we have made a lot of PROGRESS, in this thread. I can't wait to get to the "religion of America" Damn responsibilities getting in the way of my history talks.

The way a dictionary does. A person that believes in a god. Well, thefreedictionary.com says: Belief in the existence of a god or gods, especially belief in a personal God as creator and ruler of the world. Einstein believed in God, but not a personal God. Was he a theist too? sp

A quick straw poll of online dictionaries has some variation of "Luck or good fortune" edging into the lead. Jakee does

A better question... Are you going to be able to acknowledge and accept, you were wrong? I'll work on posting it tonight. Its gonna be long... Defined: The Pursuit of Happiness. Or... can you tell me the second definition of the word, happiness? If I were a betting man, I'd put my money on... No.
-
How would you define a, Theist?
-
Seriously....... Seriously? That is dumber than Quade's rattlesnake usage... Why would I need to move anywhere if the federal government operated under the confines of the Constitution: involving itself only with its 16 enumerated powers? So... are you in favor of the patriot act? Cause... its unconstitutional. I doubt my privacy would be more secure in Somalia. I do think... possibly... I have said before: I AM NOT A CHRISTIAN! Oh yeah, I said it in this very thread. Amazing how people can't separate, God and religion. spelling

Sigh. Oooookay... I'll give you another hint. It was written by one of our Founding Fathers... in 1689.

Um... He's in office right now.
