The scentific method or assumtion, what are you inclined to beleive.
rhys replied to rhys's topic in Speakers Corner
yeah! and we always do things the same way and never develop new methods, yeah. stop looking for excuses and admit those buildings fell down faster then what anybodey ever could have expected them to, and for them to fall that fast then somehowor other, by what means possible, be it technology new or old, that some serous question remain unanswered and swep under the carpet... Fixed it for ya Once again it is not the drug that gets itself into the prison, it is corruption and our ever present primal instincts that make us want to gain power and finance over one another. There is a leak in the system, and it is allowed to continue, this principal is almost across the board with most of the problems we face in human life. We also have this unwritten rule that you should not question your superiors, even when the rules say you must. When you don't question, and see things that you should not have seen, then you become complicit, when you are complicit you might as well gain something out of it... What you don't seem to understand is that my standpoint is based on the fact the more than 70% of customers will still have a normal DVD player but a high definition TV. My issue is with my customers understanding (or lack thereof) of what they need. They will say they want high definition and order it and when they get home they will not be able to watch thier video. Our custmers do not live just down the road they live in other countries and they WANT that video, and as easy as it would be for them to convert it, they will call me or email me and ask me to send them another one and I will be compelled to do so. and it will cost me about $15 in postage and packaging + time, every time that happens. This is one scenario of many that I am trying to avoid. "When the power of love overcomes the love of power, then the world will see peace." - 'Jimi' Hendrix -

You would have to be some sort of idiot to not take vcertain things into account. The was a building there and the roofline remained sationary until the pinit it started moving, the inside of the builfdng collapses a moment immediately prior to the perimeter wall collapsing; FROM THE MOMENT THE PERIMETER WALL BEGINS COLLAPSING, th momentum is 'practically' freefall acceleration. There will be some friction from air resistance and debris collosions. Show me your kink in the data, are you talking about the time periods where nothing happens, or are you observing momentum during this time? There is not enough time from the onset of collapse to complete destruction to allow the friction that would be necessary for all floor connections to break as the friction of those breakages would have slowed the building down. You need to add in time for these things, without this time all you re left with is freefall, and that is what NIST have admitted, that is what many have admitted, Admittance that freefall of the building occured suggests one thing and one thing only!!!! Controlled demolition!! There is no escaping science my horny freind, but if you would care, show me how you believe freefall did not occur. I stand corrected, Jefferson never ended up patenting his hemp brake as he considered it too important and opposed monopolies. but he over saw the patent process in it's early stages of development in america. Thanks for the clarification. "When the power of love overcomes the love of power, then the world will see peace." - 'Jimi' Hendrix

For now you have shown that your ability to engage in intellegent discussion is limited. Unless you can have some sort of scientific explanation to present or at least an attempt to clarify your assertions, will lead me to believe you lost interest after 30 seconds and decided to throw an insult instead. It is not an analogy it is an experiment, and the experiment follows newtons laws, and shows tangible evidence of those laws on moving objects. Nist do not follow newtons laws. If experiment is not how you do your science, how do you do it? NIST even admitted that the structure would have to be removed in order to gain freefall momentum, yet a year or so later, after that statement, they admitted wtc7 reached freefall acceleration in thier final draft of the building performance report. But we now about that already as we have discussed it numrous times, yet it remains ignored. You are obviously unaware of david chandlers work and how it has pressured the NIST into aditting the freefall acceleration. and what the rammifications of that are. You are right that it was not exactly freefall as it was not in a vacum and there was a building below it no matter how weakened it was there. The true nature of the twin towers collapse is skewed behind a massive cloud of debris from a massive expolsion upon initiation. picture Building 7 was in plain sight with no towering inferno and has been calculated many times over by many people including NIST. It was not until david bought this uniform collapse evidence forward and after and embarressing backspin; watch and listen. some sloppy laymans terms going on there, Try debunk this then, will you argue with Newton? I imagine most would zone out after about 30 seconds and throw back an insult but you Bill should at least be able to argue these very basic physics; You tube presentation on uniform acceleration and Nist. Now I am confused, what is the reason for blue ray and blue ray players then if there is no difference, is the blue ray part simply the ability to play high definition footge? "When the power of love overcomes the love of power, then the world will see peace." - 'Jimi' Hendrix -
depends whose waters and what quotas are in place. The japs come down a pillage our southern seas, illegally and get away with it, by blatantly lying about research and selling it in supermarkets. From what I gather the Norwegans have a quota system. quotas have saved New Zealand fisheries and made them (seemingly) fully sustainable, and have replenished lost stock from over fishing from before. There are no quotas going on in this japanese reseach! it is more... rape and pillige! "When the power of love overcomes the love of power, then the world will see peace." - 'Jimi' Hendrix

Maybe down the track, too much at the moment, our footage is 10x better than many places anyway that are still using dv tapes and analogue editing and we put time into our product, as i said HD is just dowm the road, and that will be at the time it ceases to be an encumberence. I am sure it is much less of an encumberence to you than most but simple changes like that have dire consequnces if not approached properly anf that can const some serious $$. I have seen the busiest tandem dropzone in Australia recently purchas $20k worth of computer and program (vegas) and invest in it only to go back to using the system (mac) they had before as it was difficult to make a new system as effective as the last. the older system was 'what they knew', changing takes time and when it cost you time it cost you money. It all comes down to your system and infrastucture, what works for you will not work for someone else. I like things that work for everybody. says it all, really. Sometimes things are not as they seem. I suggest the focus remais on the sinking incident and resolving that, than muscle flexing. that is just an ego trip and provokes negative response. If America wants to remain a world power it had better start learning how people other than themelve think. Seriously it is a pathetic attempt at resolving a problem. You know that comment has much darker implications than what you probably intended as I know exactly what you are saying. Cannabis can be grown easily but as it is illegal it needs to be kept discreet, this leads growers to grow indoors to meet the abundant demand for it. This method is much more costly in dollar per gram value to produce the product but a necessary means of not getting caught growing it. The demand for cannabis gives it a black market value of around $300 an ounce give or take, and ounce in grams is about 28 grams. 28 grams of any other plant material is only worth a couple of dollars. The demand for cannabis sets the price the price is high so the black market gets 100 times the margin as the economy does on such a product. Then; and this is where you comment kinda comes into it... The sophisticated hydropinic and artificial light souces to complete photosynthesis indoors has lead to chemical development/enhnacement of the product, and the THC content has been raised considerably as a stronger cannibis plant will yeild a higher return. I watched a case study on cannabis use and the modified and 'potent' 'ganja' has much worse rammifications to the human mind than naturally grown organic cannibis. The behavior patterns of the 'bush weed' subjects we positive and happy where the 'skunkie' weed subjects lethargic and unmotivated. an imbalance in the natural process... This has all come to be because it is Illegal. The demand has not decreased since being illegal, it has in fact grown and produced a very good reason to desire crime at all... A bloody good income. lots of money. Just think, one kilogram of weed is worth around $11,000 so 100 kilos of weed is worth $1,100,000.00 100 kilos is worth a million dollars... And they think making it illegal/criminal stops crime, they instantly made a significant proportion of the world criminals and increased the value of the said product. They infact created many, many, more problems than they intended on fixing, they created more crime, and a new dark industry behind closed doors. The intention of prohibition of cannabis was never really to solve an abuse problem, it was to create market demand for products other than hemp as the hemp industry was so ingrained in american history that the 'marijuana' spin was all that was needed to eliminate the main player in the textile and fibre industry. Cotton and plastic made great advances in the insustry since prohibition yet cannabis/hemp will still yeild more profit than either of those and much less environmental damage at the same time. yet it is still prohibited even if it is grown for fibre with little to zero thc anyway. It is a Rort, makes no comon sence and is another example if how primitive and maniulated most peoples thinking has come to be, primarirly because they are unaware of what the truth is. This is not the peoples fault; Nobody ever told them because cannabis was removed from the american history books at the same time, prohibition entered the rule books and now nobody really knows the utmost importance the stuff actually had in building and creating the United States of America. The first US patent is a hemp threshing machine patented by Thomas Jefferson, all those lovely documents your country bases its laws on, are made from cannabis, christopher columbus' ship would have been rigged with cannabis, but nowdays it is simply looked at as a dirty weed, a drug, narcotic. It is wrong and stupid, and if it were not illegal many people would probably not have the desire to take it during thier 'rebel' period of their adolescence. I used to be a heavy pot smoker when I was younger, it had many negative mind, body spirit effects that are quite clear, but the way it is treated by society is simply a waste of energy, money, time and lives. end rant! I see that you can infact put a HD video on a DVD and play it as high def in a blue ray player, simple. The Difficulty is the people that have a dvd player with a HD (ready) TV that order a hd dvd off us and can't play it when they get home = $$$ time time time. I want 1 system that works for most people without fucking around. Until the majority of people have blue ray players, which will still take time, it is not worth it. so I was correct in the first place then! Thanks for that. I 'think' that clarifies a couple of issues; So you can burn a short HD video onto a DVD and a DVD will play it in standard definition and a blue ray will pay it in HD? Is the difference between DVD and Blue ray disks just storage volume? I thought it was a complete different system for high definition? i.e. blueray and HD DVD... So you want to burn on Blue ray? I have thought about this, and as many customers are ready for this, many are not. Wouldn't you be better sticking with SD for now and actually editing on a computer and get the the high definition when you and your customers are ready? Correct me if I am wrong but you can't burn HD footage onto a dvd, so you have to use Blue ray or HDDVD, which not everybody has a player. and HDDVD is going the same way as Beta video? So you will have to do both SD and blue ray and your camera guys will have to get HD lenses. It is close for all that but not quite there yet I don't reckon. Computer editing is an undertaking on its own and you will find less and less cameras with editing functions in them. You said you do all the editing on the camera that is also HD. Is that a HD mini DV camer or what camera/editing? Burning in HD is is a whole other can of worms. we'll fancy that, i always wondered why there was blue and green now. So you did actually use a 'green screen' for that? "When the power of love overcomes the love of power, then the world will see peace." - 'Jimi' Hendrix

Bad ASSumtion. I actually quite like amrerica and its people, have visited more than once and will return, the people are humble the countryis based on solid principals but unfortunately as what ahppens in most countries and any place with money and power; is that the corrupt manipulate the adgenda and rules in order to accomplish thier ever growning lust for power as money comes out of the equation when we get into hundreds of millios of dollars, and we are getting onto the billios and trillions now. It is America nor the American land or people that are bad, it is the corrupt and power hungry. This is not limited the the United states, it is world wide, it is human, it is primal and it is our inability to control our selfish ways. I don't beleive in reports entirely as they are skewed more often than not. I beleive the attack took place, but do not have that much knowledge of it, I have learned North Korea denies doing it, that the US have made false flag operations to enter war before, there are others that could be respnsable, and that america seems to be manipulating South Koreas standpoint towards war. Hypothetical situation ****COMPLETELY MADE UP ON THE SPOT**** say the taliban want america to back off a little, an attack like this in another regon could start a war there and remove some stregnth in afghanistan, you know like in risk, speading your troops too thin... You would expect more discression when decisions are made for war, Iraq has showed us how that is very far from the case and paranoia and pre emtive war are very dangerous. American foreign policy reminds me of my friends husky that managed to kill a chicken when it was young... Now I have also learned that america needs war to remain as it is, it is in two current wars, both started by false or incomplete intellegence. Iraq was a complete lie, still going on and costing the world more than we are told. Afghanistans escallation is based on 9/11 of which (not going into conspiracy) nobody has yet been officially through the courts, held accountable for. Was it Bin Ladin or KSM? Is a confession from the first rouge terrorist group that want to make themselves look badass, all that is needed to believe terrorists? You have a guy in custody still now in 2010 that is apparently responsable, but a decade later your are $trillions deep in the war, and still hvn't got around to sorting that pesky trial out? Without any conspiracy the US needs to sort out it's foregn policy to remain the world power because 'trust' plays a big part in that role, and just look at the current world opinion of the US foreign policy. this is not just me that is thinking like this. In order to remain the world power, america needs to rid its economy from the ever growing dependence on war! That is what the fuss is all about on the reports I have seen, it seems the americans are breathing over the shoulder of the Koreans with a cigar in thier mouth and a lust for war, while the Koreans are more reserved in their approach. I cannot believe at face value what I am told off the media, anyone that thinks it is not manipulated is an idiot/nieve. All I can see is that there are some very serious issues, Korea are very nervous and America is poking them in the ribs from behind to go to full on war. Korea has much more to lose out of this than America.... Tough decisions all in all, but full on war is what you are trying to avoid in the first place isn't it? Why provoke it? Americans seem to look at war as some kind of excersise or game. It is not it is life, ecology, future and history all being destroyed. Stuff we have little knowledge about and seem to hold little hope for. "When the power of love overcomes the love of power, then the world will see peace." - 'Jimi' Hendrix

I really like the concept of that promo, quite informative not dragging on too much and shows many discplines. When we eventually get student training off the ground I will do something similar, thanks for sharing. I'll have to get a bit fancier to get the blue screen thing happening though....
