AndyMan, Take a deep breath and sit down. I'm sure that you are a very experienced instructor and only wanted to point out something you thought you were reading between the lines. Fact is, she's doing GREAT. Give her a big pat on the back for sticking with it. Experienced instructors know when to push someone out of the nest. Boys Boys Boys................. Just kidding. I do appreciate everyone's input. Right now I'm wanting to update from medium format to digital but do not want to give up the speed yet. Paul, question on your reply. The first frames at the stated fps then I assume a 'recharge" is required or does the camera go through a file process with the image? Forgive my ignorance on digital pic's but I'm truly interested. Second, how about exposure settings, speed, etc.? Why all these questions are floating around my thought process is that I've looked at some great pic's in digital down in FL and want to know if it's time for this Missouri boy to upgrade. Quade, That is the question of the year!?! The $2000.00 range is okay however, the question is how have the prices changed in the past couple of years. Are the digital cameras following the digital video camera trends? If so the Canon D60 will be down in the $1200.00 range soon. I would really like to know who's using then now and what the fps (or spf may be more accurate) you might be getting. Thank you for your response. J.E. James 4:8

Terry, Yea, I know.................. I work/teach/rig at a small DZ (who is just getting their first part time turbine) and 99.9% of the "kids" there have not seen a round or harness system or a system older than they are. I will be putting the PC in another piggy back system to jump but want the entire harness/container/reserve system for them to see. I would NOT let the "kids" jump the harness as I do not have the time/patience to teach them procedures. I am looking to purchase so if you find an "extra" set anywhere please let me know. Yes I am. I am currently working in the Kansas City area, however I'm from Ozark Missouri and teach at Freefall Express Skydiving in Mt. Vernon MO. Rob asked me to work the Search this year however work schedule prevented me doing so. Looks as if the same this year. Blues, J.E> James 4:8

While visiting the KSSDC to put on a Coach Certification Course I had the chanced to meet several GREAT skydivers with the desire to teach, help, learn, and have fun. If you want to meet a great bunch of skydivers, pilots, and Instructors, make some great skydive and just have fun, go see Jesse and his group!

Kopelen, Help me if you will. I've completely missed your point. Having gone through SDU as a student in 1993 when it started and becoming a SDU Coach in 1995, I have extensive experience with SDU. (hence the screen name) I am a coach that does not work on a "campus" and charges much less than the Search rates however, the process of working with good coaches along with others with the same desires and intent increased the learning rate.
