  1. The idea that the basis for belief in God relies on being an uneducated moron is pretty absolute, but it's completely crushed by the fact that there is a multitude of highly intelligent men, women, scientists, doctors, lawyers, etc. that are Christians...being an uneducated moron is not the basis for their belief. There is something else driving that faith... Quote Fear. Believers are emotional cripples. Intellectual acuity and psychological stability do not always go hand in hand.
  2. And despite all of crowing and cackling I hear from the self proclaimed intellectually gifted, once you get beyond the known theories of science you ain't got shit. Your faith in nothing equals any believers faith in God. And what do you get for your trouble, nothing. Where as a personal relationship with God is indeed the most treasured possession. The entertainment value of applied fallacy by the self proclaimed intellectually challenged is endless. Have fun with your imaginary friend. That's so cute.
  3. You seem angry. Nah, disgusted by the cognitave dissonance. Religion is a disease of denial.
  4. Go home! He already is. Those of you who think some sort of "afterlife" exists are welcome to put your money where your mouths are and test your hypothesis.
  5. Wow...double duece...looks like you were deceived by both the catholics and protestants. They must have your number...perhaps a personal relationship with Christ would suffice. He was a distant cousin.
  6. Like how? What can you do that I can't?Quote Think.
  7. "Retired Metropolitan Transportation Authority worker Robert Fitzpatrick, 60, said he spent more than $140,000 of his savings on subway posters and bus shelter advertisements warning of the May 21 Judgment Day. "God's people are commanded to sound the warning, to sound the trumpet so to speak so people know," Fitzpatrick said of his advertising blitz. Fitzpatrick said Camping led him to believe Judgment Day would be May 21, but added that he disagreed with the broadcaster's prediction it would begin in Asia." It's truly amazing that there are such MORONS as to believe all this crap. I reiterate: stupidity is our only truly limitless natural resource.

  9. Well, that's not the God of the bible. If God hated all those people, he wouldn't have died for them. You have outdone yourself. That is one of the dumbest things I have ever heard.
  10. 2) LESS THAN 10% of your professors will speak English. As a first second or a third language. 3) Your classes will be taught by TA's who only speak the professors language and not yours. 4) You will pay very good money for books you will never read and lab fees for which you will never understand. Basically you will be paying well over $30k a year to have the Dell Help Desk out of India attempting to teach you thermo dynamics. 5) The classes are designed not to educate you or to inform you rather to haze the living shit out of you. Semester #1 50% of the class is failed. Semester #2 another 50% this will go on until the day of graduation. 6) You work your ass off studying trying not to fail...remember those 5 chicks....yeah you think you have a sex life? A love life? Hell any kind of life? HA FUCK NO! 7) You graduate! And let's say you are really ambitious and you got a MS in Engineering...you just invested well over $100k in your education...how much do you think you will get paid? In the DOD in NY/NJ? $60k a year. And you will most likely only make 2% more per year if congress likes you. And as such why should any company pay you anymore? And if they do it will be just a tad bit more than what the base line is which is set by the largest employer of engineers and scientists. So to recap, you basically join the toughest frat house on campus. Survive 4 years of brutal hazing and harsh living standards only to get out and find out that your frat matches up with the Omega Moos and that well the benefits are shit... So why should any guy study science or math or engineering? Any woman who doesn't wish to shave her legs or buy new clothes or ever watch what she eats...lots of reasons to study the sciences. You poor bastard.
  11. I've seen that happen. We just called it "going low". I believe the term in this situation would be "going high". So then, beyond it happening on May 21, it's supposed to happen at 4:20? If you are going to leave on the Red Eye, why not?
  12. Well, more like 5.5, but yeah. The election is his to lose. Nobody can take it away from him now. Perhaps. GHWB executed a simply brilliant campaign during Desert Storm, and his ratings went through the roof. By the time of the election, however, the issue on which people voted was the economy, and Clinton edged him. Regardless of my feelings toward Harvard lawyers, I am glad he did not stand in the way of the people who could get the job done.
  13. I've done my (active) military service - what the heck do *you* know about war?? The French have a military??? Could have fooled me! If it was not for the French military, there would be no such thing as the United States of America. Spend some time with the Legion and see how disparaging you are of things French and military.
  14. I would like to circulate a video of OBLs body being mixed 50:50 with pig parts and ground into sausage, with the resultant sausage being fed to mangy mongrel dogs. If the powers that be are worried that his remains will become a shrine to his memory, let his followers revere every pile of dogshit they encounter. BSBD, Winsor
  15. As far as experts on stupidity go, you are the gold standard. Professor Kallend has been duly chastised.

You did not reply to my last question, albeit a bit snarky. I am trying to get a better understanding of you as a person. So, I shall ask in a different more direct manner. Are you of the Jewish faith and therefore non-accepting of Jesus as Messiah? Or, are you an atheist Jew? Your attempt to put me into a context you understand is doomed to fail. Judaism is who you are, not what you are. Judaism is a tribal identity not a religion, but we have traditions with significant religious implication. I am a (somewhat) observant, though skeptical, Jew.

"For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, because that which is known about God is evident within them; for God made it evident to them. For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through what has been made, so that they are without excuse." (Romans 1:18-20) All written by a pagan who hijacked the legacy of Cousin Jesus. You can do better.

You are on a roll. Keep em coming. I think a heavy metal or hip hop genre would work best. What do you think? You think you think? That's so cute.

I bet if you put music to your words and expanded your dark miserable concept a little you may have a number one hit. But that aside, please , enlighten me. What is Truth? ... You give yourself too much credit in the assumption that you are capable of comprehension. You have demonstrated conclusively otherwise. If I have to explain, you would not understand.

Well hopefully now you to can understand what entropy is. The science you swear by is incomplete at best. The only thing science can do is observe and describe. Science can't provide what people need the most, meaning. We are metaphysical /spiritual beings. Science is yet to even scratch the surface of the life force that makes us who we are. ... Anything you think you might know about science makes comic books look like definitive sources. You have the unmitigated temerity to refer to entropy as though you have the faintest clue as to its significance? Please. The suggestion that, since you find the scientific process incomprensible, any compliation of nonsense is just as good does not fly. Not everyone is fundamentally confused by everything.
  21. I don't know, but I do know that when you use the C-word to describe Jesus, you are implying certain conclusions about him. If you want to frame a discussion about Jesus without implying a conclusion before the discussion starts, it is better to just call him Jesus without the C-word. Oh, I think it goes a long way to distinguish between the observant Jew of the era and the mythical construct created later by pagan Europeans. As a Nazorean, one's entry into the sect entailed a ritual "death" and "rebirth," sort of like the modern "born again" types. As translated and interpreted by pagan scribes - and later heavily redacted - the tale took on a different slant. Beware the Holy Typo! BSBD, Winsor
  22. Check your arithmetic. That would amount to 1,460,000,000,000 (1.46 Trilliion) barrels at today's consumption rates, and I have reviewed no estimate of all potential sources combined that is anywhere near that. We're screwed.

Not at all. If you go from promordial goo to Homo sapien sapien it doesn't take much insight to acknowledge that a lot of work has been done. If anything the forces of nature favor states that are unorganized. So, in order to account for something that is so complex and vast that you deem its existence impossible in the absence of some decisive originating force, you postulate the existence of a driving force in the form an entity of orders of magnitude greater complexity and scope - that somehow exists in the absence of any decisive orginating force as the basis of its origin. What could possibly be the flaw in that "logic?"

    Inside Job

"Who can we trust?" Exactly why we shouldn't have a centrally planned and controlled economy! Comrade, the five year plan is going well. We will have none of your counterrevolutionary rabble rousing.
  25. Then you haven't followed kallend's posts closely enough. i think you're a little bit delusional... Your credibility was shot by the time you claimed "I think." ok then - you're definitely a little bit delusional... If that is the way I appear from your standpoint, I must be doing something right.
