A post in "Friends of Hartwood" on Farcebook. ------------------------------------------------ Here's a shout out to Clay Schoelpple. Clay went back east after his dad passed. He was cleaning out some old shelves & found an old velcro pouch with some old guy's original log books, USPA licenses, SCS cards, etc. I had left those there in 1987 and never found them again. You can imagine what it must have taken for Clay to track me down 34 years later! I was in the Navy and moved a dozen times since then. Thank you, Clay! I miss those days at Hartwood and was sorry to hear about Harry. Blue Skies to all of you in the group & remind Clay what a great guy he is. - Bob Larys, D-6822

From Linda Miller Clayton was there for the last two weeks. Harry was pretty aware up until about a week before the end. As Clayton said... He was on a very long approach and finally touched down on Saturday. He is not on Face Book but I know he will enjoy reading some of the remarks when he gets back to Salt Lake. -
I was there.

Betsy and the US Team in 1973 on a very small budget. Almost didn't happen because of money, they had to use their own Para Commanders in competition.

Betsy died at her home in Falls Church Va. Another pioneer for Women in Skydiving. Member of the US Team in Style and Accuracy and enjoyed RW with friends, she didn’t care to jump with prima donnas. National Director on the USPA BOD. A heart breaker on the DZ’s.
