Just got me a new Sabre2!!
WILDBILLAQR replied to Jskydiver22's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
I have about 100 jumps on mine & I love flying it. Even with the 360 degree "on heading" opening I had last Sunday ---------------------------------------------- "Thats not smoke, thats BUCKEYE!!" AQR#3,CWR#49 -
My siter & I used to fight over what channel we would watch, we would RUN to the TV, change the channel, and then take the nob off. One day we were doing our usual(we lived in a "progessive house" where my mom worked for my dad) I changed the channel, pulled the nob off as my sis was running up behind, my hand flew back and hit her right in her mouth, breaking her braces. I'm lucky I survied that There was no CPS at that time, boy I could have used it thou Oh, btw, I'm posting at work! ---------------------------------------------- "Thats not smoke, thats BUCKEYE!!" Well i have to say hands down that Moss Point has the best bathrooms in the world. Always neat and clean and u never have to bring your own towels or anything. HAHA! That was the 1st thing my S/O told me she liked about that DZ. I love Moss point & Elsinor! Their both small DZ's on steroids! ---------------------------------------------- "Thats not smoke, thats BUCKEYE!!" AQR#3,CWR#49

DESERT SKYDIVE CENTER in Buckeye Az. 2 C-182's in the summer, Caravan in the winter, w/ the occasional Otter. Family atmosphere, most of the up jumpers know each other as well as most of the students. The DZO in the summer will bump tandums so the up jumpers can have the plane! One sat.AM this summer, only 1 C-182 was operational, on the 3rd load (6:30 AM) one cylander blew on take-off. By noon Gary had a Caravan there. Hell yes he lost his ass on the weekend, but, by 9:00am sunday there was 30 up jumpers there having a mini-boogie If you want low stress jumps, this is the place. As long as your safe and had fun thats all that really matters, although we will laugh about it ( sometimes for months) Lift tickets are $15.00 year round. Sat. nights there a $5.00 all you can eat BBQ, and the bunk house is free! If your ever in the Phoenix area come out and play! ---------------------------------------------- "Thats not smoke, thats BUCKEYE!!" AQR#3,CWR#49

phoenix would be cool as it is near many nice dz's but hot as hell Dude! Phoenix at times is HOTTER THAN HELL! But, we have these cool little boxes called AC or EVAP! they work pretty well, sometimes. ELOYs 55 min from my house, DSC(Buckeye) is 45 min from me, Skydive Sedona is 1.5 hours. We have the last place D-backs, Cardnals, Cyotes, & Suns! whats more to love Oh well, so much for my job at the camber of commerce! Really , Skydiving almost 365 per year! Is there even a question? ---------------------------------------------- "Thats not smoke, thats BUCKEYE!!" AQR#3,CWR#49

F8ck him! Let him die, not my problem, not the DZ's problem.
WILDBILLAQR replied to Deuce's topic in The Bonfire
I don't see it. Well, here is one that listened. And here's another one. I think you highly experienced jumpers need to hear once in a while that your advice doesn't fall on deaf ears. I've learned a lot from the threads on dz.com and just want to say thank-you. Keep it up guys, we nubes really are listening and, speaking for myself, acting on your advice by following a safer progression into the sport. AND ANOTHER! The other day I was talking to a newer jumper about downsizing, and how it seems that once a year the whole DZ downsizes. I told her that this fall, when the cycle starts, I wont be changing. I explained that I dont feel I have masterd the canopy I'm flying and would like to have 300 to 400 more jumps on it. She then asked what skilles I was working on and I showed her Billvons list. Maybe she'll be yet another to listen -
DAMN!!! That got my heart pumping!! ---------------------------------------------- "Thats not smoke, thats BUCKEYE!!" AQR#3,CWR#49

(this time I thought I might have felt some pilot chute fabric). Sonds to me that you missed the handle but grabbed ( pulled loose) enough material to start the deployment process. Good job sticking to your 2 try rule! ---------------------------------------------- "Thats not smoke, thats BUCKEYE!!" AQR#3,CWR#49

After reading the article in this months Parachutist I started wondering, just how do you get students to relax? And, have you ever had a student that was to freeked out to jump? ---------------------------------------------- "Thats not smoke, thats BUCKEYE!!" AQR#3,CWR#49

How many jumps before you purchased your own rig?
WILDBILLAQR replied to Skylark's topic in Safety and Training
Hay Lou, that old rig wasn't scary ( of course it wasn't on my back) That was some high tec shit in its day! now your new one is scary, only because I like it and would love to buy one ---------------------------------------------- "Thats not smoke, thats BUCKEYE!!" AQR#3,CWR#49 -

OK, let me rephrase that, F**KING METHHEADS! Whatever thier smoking, shooting, snorting! Damn I'm pissed I had to duck tape part of my desk together until I can get to the Ace store at lunch! I will find a way to use this on my boss though ---------------------------------------------- "Thats not smoke, thats BUCKEYE!!" AQR#3,CWR#49

I pulled into my office this AM to find a police car in my parking spot. Went to my office to find the front window smashed, my desk partially smashed, 1 cumputer smashed on the floor, and 1 laptop gone! The dumbasses didn't touch 3 other cumputers or the TV. And know for the best part, my boss forgot to set the alarm last night If I had been the last to leave, I wouldn't have a job today ---------------------------------------------- "Thats not smoke, thats BUCKEYE!!" Helping low jump number skydivers
WILDBILLAQR replied to TribalTalon's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Not to highjack this thread, but, I thought the Brits put viniger on there chips. I haven't been over the pond myself, but' when my kids got back from their 1st trip, they started putting it on their chips claiming they learned that in England. What do I know. Hell, after that trip my daughter(13 at the time) sat down at the dinner table with a class of wine! She said that it was OK in Paris, then she explained why that wine didn't go with what we were having OK. Back to your original argument! ---------------------------------------------- "Thats not smoke, thats BUCKEYE!!" AQR#3,CWR#49 -

Pat Tillman, formerly #40 for the Arizona Cardinals, was killed in a fire fight in Afghanistan yesterday. This man had turned down $3.5 million per year playing football to go in the Army.
