Very true. Not that I would know but stay away from spicy/acidic and seafoods guys. Stick to the sweets and your date may come back for more. Tee

I jumped an open face until I got an altimeter in the lips on exit. That certainly did not make for a pretty sight for a few weeks . My full face has been great for me. I had to learn a few new techniques to keep it from fogging up in the winter, but I've got that handled now.

I think we also have to remember that when people give us advice, that they are able to watch our techniques from afar. When we do certain things, such as hooks/carves, swoops, freefall manouvres we can think we are doing it correctly, it feels right but in actual fact, it is all wrong. That is why people learn so much faster by watching themselves on video or in a mirror (windtunnels). We are going through this right now at our dz. There is a person who has been learning hook turns for about 60 jumps and it doing them WAY too low and he wouldn't listen to anyone. Just the other day, he broke his kneecap. If you start to think EVERYONE around you is wrong and doesn't know what they are talking about...possibly you should look at yourself.

I agree. Unless they are some sort of extreme sportist themselves and know what it is like to have a passion for something like we do for skydiving. I have seen far too many men (and women) get bent out of shape because their SO spends every weekend at the dz partaking in jumping and crazy parties (not that skydivers get crazy or anything ). Even to the point of thinking their SO is having an affair because they simply don't understand what it is like to have such a passion for something. I am Soooooo glad that I have my sweetie and we can have a blast jumping and causing trouble together.

I think it completely depends on the relationship. Like was mentioned above, there are people who are swingers or have different views on fidelity. If you cannot tell your partner about something you have done because you know they would consider it cheating and it is outside of the relationship parameters that you have agreed upon TOGETHER...then it is cheating. My parameters are very different than this....but to each their own and it depends on the person and the relationships they have AGREED to have with their SO. Tee

I agree. I would never dream of jumping my sabre again without a few good rolls to the nose. I don't stuff the roll very far into the center cell, I just tuck it in a bit and never had a hard opening since.

The scary part to me is a 300-way funnell! Can you imagine 300 people at all different altitudes? Talk about changing your break off plan to "track like hell and dodge the opening canopies". That happened twice on the 2000 attempt, my sweetie said the wave came through the formation and it was a good 15-20 feet high! YIKES!
