What's the deal with this $110 boogie? I am trying to figure out if it is worth going across the country to this boogie. If you could tell me how many jumps can be made by a single person, what kind and how many planes? also are there any restrictive rules like the non use of packers or the use of two rigs? Thanks for your replys. Death is so permanant, and I'm just not ready for that kind of committment.

Jumped at moab? Please comment on your experience
pdj6p replied to dunesurfer's topic in Events & Places to Jump
You should call ahead and make sure they are jumping when you pass through. I tried jumping there last fall on a sunny nice saterday and they weren't open that day. Death is so permanant, and I'm just not ready for that kind of committment. -
Damn thats funny stuff. Mountains in N.C. that should keep me laughing for an hour. If you want mountain views in the U.S. or Canada you have to go west. The northern Utah drop zones have excellent mountain veiws. Death is so permanant, and I'm just not ready for that kind of committment.

If you didnot pay for them I don't think they count for you to make fun jumper of the year. Yep no parking spot for you. P.S. why did'nt you put anything in the events forum about this? Death is so permanant, and I'm just not ready for that kind of committment.

Colorado is a great place to jump. The thing is that when you ask which is the best dropzone, you may very well start an argument over the issue. If it were me and I lived near colorado springs I would go to skydive the rockies it being closer to your location. They also have a staff fully capable of helping you out (not that the others don't as well). But you do what is best for you. First Tandem in Vegas this weekend...?'s
pdj6p replied to raleighwood's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
I would highly suggest calling skydive mesquite and making your jumps there. They will get you more jump for the money (compare altitude of jumps, above ground level compared to above sea level.) check out the web site at www.skydivemesquite.com sorry you will have to cut and paste that. at any rate have a fun jump. Travis learned to skydive in Utah specifically to make this jump. He was a very fast learner. Once off student statis he rented a helicopter to train for the base like opening. which was cool because the rest of us got to jump it as well. How long has it been since a DC-3 dropped jumpers in Georgia???
pdj6p replied to CSpenceFLY's topic in The Bonfire
There would have to be a closer DC-3 to S.C. than the Southern Cross. Last I saw of it Bob Metz was taking it to winter in a hanger in california. That would be a pretty long way to ferry a 3 for a boogie. But then any thing could happen, and Im not exactly in the loop at the moment. I have a brand new hawkeye that has never been worn that I would be willing to part with. Don Death is so permanant, and I'm just not ready for that kind of committment.

Brian the mesquite D.Z. does not have showers. In fact it is realy basic as far as facilities goes but, they have great people and a realy nice turbine aircraft. If you realy need a shower the hotels are less than a five minute drive from the airport and if you don't have a room I'm sure that during the feb. boogie someone will let you use thier hotel room to shower. you need to go to mesquite. It is not far from vegas and realy the only place that will let you fun jump. Besides that they are having a boogie on the 11-13 and I think will have helicopter jumps. Don Death is so permanant, and I'm just not ready for that kind of committment.

Dave if your Aggies don't beat the longhorns I may have to come down there and hold you personally responcible. I am for anything that gets rid of the B.S.c and moves us to ward a playoff system that every team in the N.C.A.A. has at least a chance to win.

Here is a bit of history that you have completely ignored. The first state to give women the right to vote was Utah a conservative state with a completely conservative legislator. So your claim that every single movement advocating liberties was brought about only by liberals is completely false. in other words a lie. either there is no such thing as karma or the karma I've got is in complete reverse. Three weeks ago my sisters van broke down. So I decided to not go jumping that saterday and go fix her van for her. The next week the transmission in my truck completely comes apart. Now is that some screwed up Karma or what?
