  1. Man that is sad to hear. My condolences. Chris
  2. Well, I found FAR 105 in a PDF. But, it is part of the USPA SIM so you have to download the whole thing. http://www.uspa.org/Publications/SIM/SIM_2001.pdf Page 161 is where the Regs start. Hope this helps. Chris Schindler
  3. Here is a link that you can copy and paste from. Still looking for a .pdf for ya. You can also look at my site in the regulations section for all FARs pertaining to skydiving. FAR 105 Link My site: www.DiverDriver.com Chris Schindler ATP D-19012 www.DiverDriver.com

    Toronto!

I went to a dropzone and a hockey game broke out.

    Toronto!

One of the nastiest, ugliest series ever. Man, I'm amazed they didn't just start beating each other at the handshake.
  6. Watch the Space Shuttle landing. The round chute comes out and it looks highly "cupped" and then all of a sudden it will expand to a wider diameter. I believe this is also a reefing system. If I'm wrong, somebody please correct this. Chris
  7. Yes, we DO get all the chicks. You can't change this. It is just the natural way of things. Not your fault. Have I ever told you I'm a legend in my own mind? But enough about me,,,,,let's watch videos of me. Chris
  8. Oh brother....I've been to over 25 DZs. What does that make me? Chris
  9. It should and you shouldn't try to carry that through. You should put it in any checked luggage you have. If they take it they have the right. Chris
  10. Grumpy, go west from SDC to highway 23. Go north about 30 miles. Maybe a few miles less than 30. Look for sign that points right to Hinckley. Go six miles. Aiport on left. If you get into town you've gone too far. Chris
  11. 465+ posts. 650+ jumps. 4,500 hours flying. 2,500+ hours flying jumpers. IAD JM. No Rigger Ticket but 4 saves. 17 Tandems as TM. I like talking around the campfire too so I guess my posts will exceed the jump numbers sooner or later. I'll have to quit posting then I guess. Ahh well. 12. You mean the parachute INDUSTRY association?
  13. I believe the third party liability insurance that comes with the membership is worth the fee itself. But, I also get a Magazine that while it may have flaws, is nice and useful on the whole. I disagree with the GM program but not to the level that I would boycot membership. I believe that we have enough push going on that the GMP will go away in the next 2 years. Chris
  14. I get strip searched almost every time I go through Security at the airport. I'm white. So where is your logic? We recently had a guy get a gun through security from Tampa to Memphis. It was a WHITE guy. No, you're right. No white guy would ever do anything to harm a flight. Wasn't D.B. Cooper a white guy? Chris
  15. Let me think.....the Oklahoma City bombing was carried out by......umm.....let me think........WHITE GUYS. To that date it was the worst terrorist act on US soil. The uni-bomber was uhh......WHITE. The women's clinics in the south were bombed by....uhhhhh.....white guys! The suspect in the Atlantic Olympic park bombing was.....uhh.....a white guy. The man convicted of shooting Martin Luther King, Jr. was....uh....WHITE. The Columbine Highschool shooters were....let me think......WHITE. Yah, white guys aren't capable of terrorism. Sure. Cut that "round 'em up" attitude out. I deal with the airline industry on a daily basis. Did you know that the number one threat on an aircraft today is still a white male in first class who's been drinking alchohol? Grrrr. Chris Schindler ATP
  16. Bwahhahhahahahahaaaaaaa!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL Oh man,,,,I'm crying here.........ahhh wheewwwwwwwwww........
  17. Andy, hate to do this to you but I will not be able to be out there. An old friend is having a bachelor party Saturday night and well....he's a skydiving brother that has been there for me MANY times in the past. I will be there to bid him bon voyage into the abiss. Chris
  18. If the student is completely out the door and on the step they can not come back in. This is explained several times and with GREAT emphasis before they get in the plane to go. It is just too dangerous (potentially) to bring them back in after they have already gotten all the way out the door. Which is also a reason (as a pilot) I like IAD. The JM goes out on the step with the student and is more directly in control of them. I only shook off one IAD student but I've shaken off many S/L students because they were hanging but wouldn't let go. Chris Schindler former IAD JM
  19. OMG....I haven't seen Klyde Morris in YEARS. LOL!
  20. Be glad you didn't come out in 1992. It really sucked then too. In 1988 when I started it was all rosey and great for the outlook. Then it went into the tank. Yah, 2-3 years and it should be going gang-busters again. Chris
  21. I resemble that remark. Chris Advice: Study, study, study, and then study some more. Know everything. It might be that 1% that gets you killed down the road. And failure is not an option. It's what I go by.
  22. Quade, I agree with you 100%. Chris
