  1. I got a file not found error...
  2. Stupid question of the day... Well a few of them... When you buy a new cypress, it comes good to go for 2 years right? 2 Years you pay for new batteries. 4 years from DOM you send it back. When you send it back does it come with new batteries, or do you have to buy new batteries too? What are the ball park price ranges for batteries and service? Thanks
  3. I found a used Cypress DOM 01/94, 8 Year and new Battry just done 12/02. They seller claims that this unit was never installed. I tried using the Cypress Value estimated tool but I don't know the values to enter into all the feilds. Roughly I came up with $420. The Seller wants $450. Good or wait for a better deal?
  4. Here are some pictures... Appears that someone lost a jetski... Look for yourself
  5. I read a lot about some of the attempts that were going to happen. They guy was to free fall faster than the speed of sound. Any updates on when or if they will try again?
  6. I like the Colors there lauril. Nice looking container! I have an Infinity that I just bought. I haven't jumped it yet, but I hear lots of good things.
  7. Web Developer here doing ECommerce Sites. There hasn't been much going on in the office around the holidays which has given me more time to surf the web. Once things pick up I won't have as much free time.
  8. When I did my AFF I pre-Paid the 1st 7 jumps as a packaged deal. Saved 10%. After that I pay as I go.
  9. I am new to the sport. I found Drop Zone.com while I was an AFF student. Reading the posts have really opened my eyes to things that I wouldn't have been exposed to otherwise. Thanks to all who post here, I know the info I learn here will help keep me safe. Still the number one thing that will keep me safe is using my head!
  10. I just got off of student status and the only thing they had was the modified BOC. Until now, I thought it was common. Just shows how new I am to it. Looking back, I am glad I learned this way.
  11. That is good to hear. I am doing the same thing, getting a Spectre 170 to fit into my Infinity I-33 (Made for a Sabre 150). Just looking at options. Thanks
  12. I am pretty new to the sport, and will be getting my first brand new ZP Canopy by PD very shortly. Of course I am thinking to myself, how am I going to get that slippery thing into my dBag. I've been reading a lot of Psycho Packing. I've even watched some movies of it being done. Almost seems too good to be true. My questions is, what is the down side? I've read a lot about the reason to do it. Is there someone who won't Psycho Pack, and why? Just want to fully know all the down sides before I even think about jumping out with a chute that was Psycho Packed. Thanks

    Texas Skydiving

I just recently finnished my AFF course at Texas Skydiving Center (also known as Austin Skydiving Center). After talking to many people in the sport who jump at many different places, I am happy I learned here. Great staff, excellent location for jumping. They have a nice large field, very few power lines, plenty of room to land. Give it a shot!
