I stay out of there to keep away from that bastard Kennedy!

You all are crazy. It's 12:45am... definitely not time for lunch. I'm about to go to bed. Maybe a midnight snack? Oh, and I don't understand what a good 75% of those meats are, so I can't make a good recommendation. I think that those inferno ones sound pretty good though. Hot foood kicks ass!

I love my job! I get to make and drink smoothies all day long, and when I'm not doing that I'm teaching people about nutritional supplements since I'm the "go-to" guy for that at my job. Being right next to my college campus is cool too cuz I can walk to work, and it's a very social atmosphere. It's right across the street from the bars, so there's nothing better than getting no cover and free drinks for giving away a few free smoothies every now and then Pay isn't bad for a college job seeing as how I've been there for 3 years. I make significantly more than everyone else there. Haha! Oh god, I'll have to enter the real world soon. Crap. Ah well, better enjoy it while I can!

I love this picture. I brought my friend Stacy out to do a tandem and me and another jumper joined up to make this sweet pic. She was having the time of her life! I'm the one in blue, btw.

ooh, the complexity, i love it! but as far as records go in the future, , if we want them to be official one day, dont records require docks to be had and the whole formation be connected as a whole?

Anyone wanna solve an Implicit Differentiation problem?
BGill replied to SkydiveNFlorida's topic in The Bonfire
Well i very well may be wrong but I think you're taking too many derivatives off the e^xy. The answer the book is giving is simply saying that the derivative of e^xy is e^xy times the derivative of the exponent (hence d/dx(xy)). The rest of the equation is just straight up derivative of the rest of the junk in the equation. Does that help? That's how I'm seeing this but my brain is also in "summer mode" right now so it may not be functioning at 100%... or even 50% for that matter Good luck! -
Damnit, ya beat me to it! Well with that being the case, how can the USPA say they're allowed to jump at 16 when the manufacturer specifically doesn't allow it? Also, I was looking on the Strong website and couldn't come up with anything cuz my pdf files won't open. Maybe they have a different policy?

taken from uspa.org Although it finished early at 1:15 Sunday afternoon, July 18, the second biannual meeting of the USPA Board of Directors, held near USPA Headquarters in Alexandria, Virginia, proved productive. Highlights include: -Former USPA National Director and world champion Al Krueger has been named for the 2003 USPA Lifetime Achievement Award. -The requirement for tandem jumpers to be at least age of legal majority was removed from the BSRs. Now all skydivers, regardless of type jump, must meet the same requirements: 18 years of age or 16 with notarized parental or guardian consent. I did my first tandem this way 3 years ago and have been confused as to how I was able to get away with this, but according to USPA's website this should no longer be an issue as long as both parents sign and notarize the waiver.

lots and lots and lots of Bob Marley one of my best friends just found out he's going to school in Barbados for 3 years... and I love Bob anyways, so I'm just "easy skankin'" over here... -
I will definitely be at Nagambie next weekend!! My S3 should get here today or tomorrow and me and Fergie are gonna go play at Picton this weekend! I have no idea how I'm gettin to Nagambie though, so any lifts would be mucho appreciated So Jari, you're comin to play?? What better reason to come to Australia than a Birdman Boogie???
-
Ok so here's my lil predicament... I would kill to go to Eloy for the Holiday Boogie, but I was planning on spending some more time down here in Australia and maybe travel and visit New Zealand or Fiji since I'll be just finishing up my semester abroad... I mean we do have a holiday boogie going on down here, but from what I hear, is there anything that compares to the Eloy holiday boogie?? So what do I do? Travel down here, or come home early and go to Eloy???

My favorite part of college is our skydiving club. All the athletes think theyre all cool with theyre windbreakers that has their sport in huge letters on their back... so what do we do? Show them that we're cooler, obviously! I love walking around with "MARYLAND SKYDIVING" printed in huge letters on the back of my windbreaker. I get attention everywhere I go and have actually gotten a decent number of people to come out and jump based on that alone. Oh yeah, and plenty of drinking. Gotta love drinking til 3am, then waking up at 7am to drive down to the dz The eye candy isnt too shabby either. All in all, I give college two thumbs up!

i think the idea of being geared up and walking it would probably work better for the sake of muscle memory. it gives you more of a visualization of what you should be seeing in the sky, for the same reason RW creeps their dirtdives. however, i also understand that the vertical separation plays a factor as well, which throws some tricks into the equation, giving the hand dirtdive an edge over walking it. either way, i love the fact that flocks are getting bigger and more complex that dirtdives are becoming necessary. i think both types of dirtdives should be used for big and complex flocks. flock on!!!
-
so is this supposed to be the "proper" way to dirtdive a wingsuit jump? the only dirtdiving i've done has been "ok, lets go out and stay near each other, get docks as you see fit". with this, do you practice the exit count as well, with everyones hands crammed together?? just wondering i know this must work well though cuz the pics i saw of the flocks at the herc booogie were absolutely amazing!
-
well if you want to come down here to australia i know we can hook you up with a suit, and then we can finally flock
-
Hmm... where to begin? Let's see, my skydiving experience started off extremely traumatizing at another close-by DZ. Brian convinced me to stay in the sport and I got the best treatment I think any student has ever gotten. Delmarva is awesome. Great student equipment, tons of outs, Keith is the best damn pilot/spotter. Friendliest environment I've seen at any DZ. Even the "skygods" there were always offering to jump with me back when I was starting out. Great turbine aircraft. No powerlines anywhere. Cheap jump rate specials. After travelling to a dozen or so dz's, I still call Delmarva my home. This is where we have chosen to take our college skydiving club, and I don't regret that for one second. They always accomodate our needs. Awesome place. I highly recommend it!

ooh ooh, i wanna play too! my suit should be here in 2 or 3 more weeks, so me you and pops can go play (assuming your brother actually picks me up this time)
-
I agree with phree on this one. Lake Wales is one of the greatest dz's out there and definitely has their shit together. They did the best they could with the cards they were dealt. Shit happens, but what we need to be doing now is helping them out in any way possible, not trashing them.

1st Annual Team Swooo Boogie at Cross Keys
BGill replied to alcarterra's topic in Events & Places to Jump
Well what I'm wondering... that jump that I did with the swooo girls and Nigel where we hung from the skyvan and you girls were supposed to jump out after us. Since we couldnt see you and actually completely lost you anyways, we tried to jump. Does that make me a swooo member? I know for a fact that my landing was straight in too So whattaya say? I can be the swooo delegate now that I'm down in Australia. Swooo International baby!!!!! -
i couldnt agree more. ive been here for only 4 days now but im loving it. its funny though, all the aussies are complaining about it being terribly cold and one of the coldest winters ever... but its like 50F outside and im perfectly fine walking around in a tshirt. now all i need to do is get my ass out to the dz. must... steal... car... need... dz... transportation...
