in new zealand you will not be jumping if it is raining. There are only a couple of dropzones that are allowed and will jump through cloud. If you are going to mercer the weather there usually blows over and you will find that libby will keep you there waiting for that to happen. I imagine you will be doing your tandem though in taupo or queenstown. In taupo itt is generally a nice place and gets some really good weather, nice place to jump. Queenstown gets retrticted to with the weather but if you can not jump there on the day i advise you to wait around a couple of days as this is the most awesome place i have ever jumped anywhere. If it is raining in fox glacier, it will be raining hard but i have been told that it is amazing there jumping. I think the best places for you to to do a tandem are glenorchy, qeenstown , nelson, taupo and of course my dz mercer. if you are at any of these dropzones and your jump is called off because of the weather, hang around for a couple of days as the views and the experience at these dz's are priceless. hey all, i need to take a photo on a digital camera and then put it on my computer and email it. I need to send it for a picture on an I.D. card. I have iphoto on my imac. Is there any way to make the photo that i take from my pc105 smaller for this requirment? when i crop the photo it just enlarges that part instead of what i thought, making it smaller. Now are the american jumpers in these forums going to team togethor and make the USPA do something about it? I am sure you have an AGM where enough people could get togethor to force your association to do something. I am very interested to see if this forum will turn in to action instead of just debating and arguing. most 100 jumps i know have always been the traditional 'getting pied'. cram pies and crap thrown all over you. In new zealand when we know someone will have their 100th jump in coming weeks we will all save old cream and milk and dregs of anything that goes disgusting and bath them in this when they get their rig off after their 100th jump. The odd person will do the naked jump but what fun is that for the people on the ground? Then they will buy 1 or 2 or 3 or 4 trays of beer or 5 or 6, depending on themselves and how much they want to celebrate. .Karnage Krew Gear Store .

Sorry, i am well aware of this and i was not meaning she should rely on this as that is not what i said but the problem with my post is that i never really said anything to a student. She is thinking about learning. I think knowing that you are on radio gives you a sense of safety. This is what i was trying to project. She is not a student yet and i am not an instructor. I am very extremley confident that her instructor will tell her all about radio and body signals and radio failure and canopy control. I was not going into detail as she was asking a general question and i was telling someone who has not signed up to learn yet that she will be under radio guidence so she can feel comfortaed by the thought until she starts AFF trainging. I never saw the point in explainging every detail of skydiving to someone who has not made a decision yet. I will also never give advice on training until i am an instructor. Sorry if it came out like i was trying to teach someone aff, i feel i was just answering someone who was interested in our sport and was not aware that we were at a teaching safety stage yet or teaching canopy control. well i just finished my third session trying to get my sabre-2 150 in to the bag...and got it.... i have had enough, and will be paying someone to pack it from now on, for a while. i tell you though, it does give you alot of confidence when you finally get the slppery bastard in.
