  3. I don't know if i should be scared or happy You want anything bought over from the UK? .Karnage Krew Gear Store .
  4. Stop it!! Before i start to believe the jet is going to be there. Are you trying to set me up to bitch about more? .Karnage Krew Gear Store .
  5. Mate- I think everybody has come down a bit hard on you and in your attempts to dig your way out you have just made the hold bigger by typing faster than you are thinking. In my opinion, your statements have just showed that you are a very excited person for the sport and have alot of enthusiasm. If everybody was like yourself we would be jumping more and the vibe would be strong all day. I agree that jumping full on all day is the best feeling in the world when the dark comes in play. Enjoy jumping, dont worry about getting flamed here, everybody here speaks louder than the would at a dropzone, myself included but hey it is the internet. You might also find we are all alot safer here in the forums than on the dz as well. Keep it up, love the sport and you are right. Dropzones do seem quiet from what you would expect. It is only cause of the turbines though, get the day going faster. 5-8 jumps a day is enough for me, 8 fucks me and my body but these days you can get that done in a few hours. Skydiving is the shit!, always has been, always will be and i believe all skydiver even the ones i personally do not like are the coolest cats around. .Karnage Krew Gear Store .
  6. Well it aint charity. The people who run this stuff have to feed their family's, buy cars, rigs, food, house etc. They have to make money and if you have any idea what goes into running and maintaining aircraft, dropzone, staff and federation laws you would understand that the DZO's deserve to make a shit load of money. .Karnage Krew Gear Store .
  7. I was with you until i read that statement. I dont know hoe Old Omar, Joe Jennings and Gasson, Tim porter and wendy Smith and Passe and Jim slaton are but i know they are a generation before me and they are amongst the best in the world as well as being people that are still coming up with new things in this sport. Dude, the new generation are students compared to the old generation. I will say one thing, The new generation bring a new flare to the sport but i would never say the new generation are better than the old generation. Come to think of it, is it not the old generation that coach these new superstars? Maybe the old generation dont just look to have their names on the curcuit anymore cause they do not care for the 'fame' as they have new things in life happening. .Karnage Krew Gear Store .
  8. Looks like the 727 jump run was 150 mph. Dont know what that means for a DC 9. Different plane. Just found this info on the 1995 Quincy WFFC with the 727 OUCH!! .Karnage Krew Gear Store .
  9. A high speed pass would make the day!. How fast would we be exiting the Jet at? .Karnage Krew Gear Store .
  10. Guys, i am really not doubting the fun, not at all. Some people make the journey for different reasons than just the fun. Vendors was a huge part for me. I now understand the pre registration numbers.... thanks for that. Sounds like we can get what we need from vendors at Summerfest so will also attend there i guess. .Karnage Krew Gear Store .
  11. It is nothing personal to anyone involved in the WFFC on these forums as they all seem like good people. I just somehow do not think my questions are going to be answered with an answer that does not say "sorry i dont know". I want to know how many people are registered as now the vendors are not there and the aircraft is the same as anywhere else i think it would only be fair if they gave us time to make other plans. Sounds like they will be lucky to reach the 300 mark of people at the moment. Does not seem much interest in it this year does there? .Karnage Krew Gear Store .
  12. Sorry...... Just have not heard anyone from the WFFC apologise for the false advertising/misleading advertising yet as to why these tickets were purchased in the first place. .Karnage Krew Gear Store .
  13. I love jumping dawn to dusk. I love it when you are wondering if it will be dark under canopy while manifesting. I dont do this anymore though cause with the turbines running you get your jumps alot faster. I get to the DZ no later than 7am on weekends, first drop does not happen till 9:30 now a days though cause there is nobody there. Last load happens way before sunset now in summer cause we have done our jumps. Shame, best part of the day was dawn and dusk. i will do 5 jumps each saturday and another 5 on sunday. If i could afford more i would but i live on Kiwi dollar at a british dropzone so i am spending at least $400 US/$600NZ dollars a weekend. That gets me 10 jumps a weekend, in New Zealand where i use to jump it would get me 30 and i would get higher. .Karnage Krew Gear Store .
  14. I have not seen anyone complain about the attendance. The only things being bought to light is that the WFFC is advertising things that are not confirmed in order to get attendance. Your fees are too high for vendors, you should put em down. More vendors will come and so will more jumpers. Why will nobody answer how many people are registered? As far as i know, when my group bought there $1300 plane tickets to get there we were told there would be vendors galore and a helicopter. False advertising. I can not see how your statement has anything to do with this thread and the WFFC. Don't you think people are just sick of being let down by the WFFC. From what i have heard from many, many private messages from people who use to frequent the WFFC is that YOU CAN NOT TRUST THE WFFC ANYMORE. I sure do get the feeling that things are very desperate for the WFFC. Will the WFFC survive another year? the feeling i get from the responses here and through PM's is NO. It is a shame cause maybe in America skydiving is decreasing but it sure feels like the rest of the world is getting stronger and bigger. Maybe it is not but alot of dropzones have had record numbers of students the past few years who spend alot more money than what it sounds like the elders in the sport use to. .Karnage Krew Gear Store .
  15. No offence. I am just a big believer that students should ask their instructor as their instructor will know what they want them doing and not doing. I do know that this would be the first thing they will teach you before a solo but all the same, it is up to your instructor as to what you and how you should learn things. People in the forums should not be teaching students anything over the internet. .Karnage Krew Gear Store .
  16. Ask your instructor these questions not the forums. .Karnage Krew Gear Store .
  17. Don't think I could let that go unnoticed! I think the Krew i am coming with will get along quite nicely with you .Karnage Krew Gear Store .
  18. I really like the grey, is it grey, silver or charcoal?? .Karnage Krew Gear Store .
  19. Actually the dropzone that i go to now and then is close but people have stopped going there in masses, however it is not due to this factor. If people have learnt at these dropzones that do it this way they do not know any better so that is not an effective solution. People need to be taught. I wish i could but with my lack of jump number(experience) it is not going to be me teaching them. Would you not agree with that Bill? .Karnage Krew Gear Store .
  20. Sure, easier said than done. The dropzone i like is an hour away that has this problem. I have tried another that i also like that is three hours away, has this problem. It is not very practical just to go to the other side of the country each weekend without a car. Also, jump somewhere else does not solve the problem does it. It may for me but does it solve the problem for the rest of the loads that are going up? Anyway, who am i to say what is right and wrong. I am not a CCI, nor am i an instructor. It will change one day when someone figures it out. Hopefully it does not take a tragedy to happen. .Karnage Krew Gear Store .
  21. I am going and i know i will enjjoy it. Probably one of the best times in my life. Just a shame that it is not going to be a good time for the reasons i spent so much money and talked alot of people into going. I am not there for the beer. I am not there to party. I am there to skydive and was originally coming to try new things such as cnopies and wingsuits and reserves. I was hoping to purchase a few of things. The last Boogie i went to i bought a shit load of canopies. Though we will be heading to Summerfest during the middle of the week to make up for what the WFFC is lacking. I cant wait to go to the WFFC, i am just unhappy it is not a couple of years ago. .Karnage Krew Gear Store .
  22. Cause you get screamed at if you dont. Is it not the Dz controls job to count the canopies? I dont mind the buddy checks. I dont mind signing back in either but i think it is pathetic seeing people getting yelled at if they forget. My mate got in a yelling at cause this persons canopy took 1000 feet to open. It is made to for heavens sake. Anyway, my only problem that really gets to me and makes me worry in this country is the fact that the dropzones i jump at Freefliers are getting out of the plane first. Why is this safe? and while we do this we are also using the 45 degree rule. It scares the shit out of me that i pull lower or at least ask everyone else behind me to pull higher. .Karnage Krew Gear Store .
  23. You dont need to. You are from America. I am in the UK, very rarely Icarus may come over(once a year) but never have i seen PD, voodoo, wings, javelin, mirage or more importantly Birdman over here. We need to go to places like this in the states to see this and try this sort of stuff. Sure we can demo stuff here through dealers, but they are dealers not manufacturers. .Karnage Krew Gear Store .
  24. For starters, I am sorry i made that statement. It was not thought out in a serious way you have taken it and i ask you to let me retract it. Second of all... You do not know how many jumps i have, Yes i have met hundreds of UK skydivers as I have been selling gear in this country and have many loyal and happy customers, especially students. I do not have as many jump numbers as yourself but have been in the sport longer and maybe even more involved in the sport than yourself. I have opened a dropzone in a different country and have been involved in management of a company that owns three dropzones. My experience has nothing to do with FS1. I am speaking my opinion, sorry i made it personal, I only meant my opinion. I know jumpers in the Uk get very involved with BPA rules, I also know there is hardly any weekend jumpers that like BPA rules. Yes, i think the majority of jumpers in the uk do do what they are told. Only 600 odd people voted, that is 4400 people doing what they are told. nearly 90% of skydivers here do not bother to have there say and are told what to do. Jumpers in this country are very 'Mothered' by the rules and regulations. I hate someone checking my pin, opening my flaps and closing them, having to sign me off to make a jump, signing back in after a jump or getting a bollocking. I HATE HOW FREEFLIERS get out of the plane first. That is the dumbest thing i have ever seen. You call that safe in this country!! I dont want to get out of a plane first when i am freeflying, neither do any freefliers i know but we are told we have to so we do. WE ARE TOLD WE HAVE TO SO WE DO!. You dont think that is doing what we are told to do. Every jumper at Langar, Hinton and headcorn are told the exit order and it is wrong. But we do it cause we are told. That is what i meant. .Karnage Krew Gear Store .
