  1. Holy 1989!!! 1992 It's an 1127 The upside down forks are the giveaway, plus the graphics. Cool, Not a bad guess though I just thought you changed out the front end. Good stuff My grammar sometimes resembles that of magnetic refrigerator poetry... Ghetto

  3. Don't rule out BMW They have some good sport models. My room mate has a k1200s and he blows doors on most riders. I rode the bike and was surprised at how nimble it was. The issue though is just the same as parachutes. If you buy too fast of a bike and actually think you know what you're doing after a couple thousand miles. It directly compares to skydivers downsizing and thinking they have it under control in a few hundred jumps. The best investment a person could make should they decide some form of sport bike is go to hit the track and take a novice track school. (after of course they've got the motorcycle license). We've got a lot of nice roads around this area and people crash on them a lot because they simply don't know what they're doing. A good sport bike has much more rangey than you'd ever imagine if you've never ridden before. A track will help a lot. If your goal is to become a confident rider (with skills to go along with the confidence) then hit up the novice track school. Racing on the street is not a goal, being a smooth rider is. 4. Never. I encourage it actually. If they can hang out and watch during the times I perform the service, they're more than welcome. My grammar sometimes resembles that of magnetic refrigerator poetry... Ghetto
  5. That was only the down side on poorly designed pull-outs. People will manage to screw up any deployment system all on their own but give them a sub par design to work with and it just becomes a hazard. My grammar sometimes resembles that of magnetic refrigerator poetry... Ghetto
  6. Lots of us jump pull-outs. For regular skydives (meaning non-wingsuit), it's my preferred deployment system. This is a queue for all the people to say it has a better chance of a total. Well, don't pack it wrong. It's a simple system. Very clean. My grammar sometimes resembles that of magnetic refrigerator poetry... Ghetto
  7. If a loop is formed in the bridle after the pilot chute is out of the pouch but before it's released, the pilot chute or part of it can be trapped as it passes through the loop. If it makes it through all the way, there's a knot in the bridle. If it makes it only part way, some of the pc or the handle is trapped. That's why it's important to get it out and let it go quickly. Added: Yes it's still important to have a secure lower profile handle and preferably a very lightweight one. My grammar sometimes resembles that of magnetic refrigerator poetry... Ghetto

  9. You’d be amazed at what some people are willing to sell to another person. The term "beginners rig" is sometimes synonymous with ... some old piece of shit rig to sell to an unsuspecting newbie. That's why it makes a person cringe. A real beginners rig should also be suitable for an experienced jumper. It may not be the desired size however it should not have short comings of many of the "beginners rig" I've seen. That's all. Good luck! 10. Sounds like you're doing fine. If you're lying flat to the relative wind, you're not moving too much. Flat track doesn't exactly mean flat to relative wind. You need an angle otherwise very little happens. When I track for speed or distance, my body may be in basically a flat, position but it is most definitely angled downward. The fall rate will slow down but horizontal picks up dramatically. Good luck. My grammar sometimes resembles that of magnetic refrigerator poetry... Ghetto
  11. 2 years ago on June 6th, a friend of mine and I were up on a tower to hang out for a while and then planned to jump. After some mourning time, it was close to midnight the weather was pretty good. The wind was very reasonable. Well, we finally geared up completely and were ready to jump when the clock struck midnight. No later than a minute into June 7th, the wind picked up to ludicrous speed. 12. I just ordered a G4 and I am having "Breathe" put on my cutaway handle and "Go Time" on my reserve.
  13. Nah...Not even close to the first. MX pants are great. For feet to earth You may want to add a good length of fabric to the bottom plus Velcro or a snap to close off the pant legs. Or just let them ride up. Works fine. My grammar sometimes resembles that of magnetic refrigerator poetry... Ghetto
  14. Yes, but there are several B A S E Specific rigs available so it's subjective. Big difference. Similar concept. Usually. T My grammar sometimes resembles that of magnetic refrigerator poetry... Ghetto

  16. You're so close to just about every...uh...nothing! Unless you ride minis or motards. If you were able to jump, there are some easy access objects fairly close. Then again, the landing area is wide open so I'd suggest against it
  17. Either send it back or see if they'll send you a set of leg pads. My grammar sometimes resembles that of magnetic refrigerator poetry... Ghetto
  18. Yes I know exactly what he said what he meant ...but since he replied to an eclipse thread regarding magnets... I simply wanted to hear it from him I'm not the original poster either but I can assure you my personal eclipse does not need replacing. After a couple thousand jumps on that rig alone, it's still just fine and looks good. There's NO way I'm buying a new rig for what they cost now. 19. Is that a no Ok, so the magnet comment didn't apply to an old Eclipse... got it! My grammar sometimes resembles that of magnetic refrigerator poetry... Ghetto

  21. He may be wise but that is a strange comment. It's also definitely not true. Here's an old, short, and very incomplete, list of good skysurfers.

  23. More than 20 I woud imagine. I find some swooping to boring. I find some swooping to be entertaining. That makes my vote null. My grammar sometimes resembles that of magnetic refrigerator poetry... Ghetto
  24. Nah it's black. No stealth mode here though. While I don't buy that color makes a lot if any difference, my set up isn't what I recommend. If the D type handles would have been more secure years ago then I wouldn't have switched. FYI, the "soft" or "pillow" handle is really a metal pipe so it's quite easy to feel. 25. I'll search later but which magnets am I to use for my old Eclipse? Will you sell me some? My rig by the way, does not have any flap issues at all. My grammar sometimes resembles that of magnetic refrigerator poetry... Ghetto
