Here's something to try. While sit flying. put your knees a little closer and push your feet out to the side. This puts more of the lower leg surface into the air stream instead of just the feet. Since more drag is on the legs, the side affect is usually the ability to lean back just a bit more. You'll be very surprised at how slow (and maneuverable) this is. Get used to it and you'll be able to sit fly with the attractive girls any time. (that's assuming they want you too ) Have fun My grammar sometimes resembles that of magnetic refrigerator poetry... yo nacmacfeegle I just downloaded an Order form. Looped release handle, Yes, that's common, I wasn't questioning that. Loop reserve handle isn't on there. Perhaps it's a "Custom" ..standard option? Now you got me curious and want to see where I missed it. Heck it's not like I haven't put my foot in my mouth before (not literally) Where do you see them as a Standard option? (I'll call Sunpath at some point just out of curiosity) They were tiny'-ish handles, They stuck out just like that diagram I made. (interesting verbage. If you ever see Orly, ask him about loops on both sides. No Idea if he still uses them) Any way, looped cutaway I've seen several times. The looped Reserve handle I've only seen a few times. 2 were on sponsored skydivers ( Once you're sponsored, you're called an "athlete" and some deserve to be called as such) I haven't seen em since, but I thought they were cool. It was mentioned in an above post made by sarge, Why not use the loop on the reserve as well From sarge. End Who's gonna make it? Some one did but I have some doubts it was the factory. Nice reminder about high pull forces and preventative measures. My grammar sometimes resembles that of magnetic refrigerator poetry... Ghetto

Handle Preference is: 1st choice The Non-d-ring. (I say this because Many soft handles really aren't soft, mines an aluminum pipe) You're current on your emergency procedures so I give a big thumbs up to Non-D ring. 2nd choice is the small handle you used to have. Phree ...lol, that was funny, (

Kelly Cornholio packed it, I closed it. We shortened the loop even more than it was originally. So now it's nice and tight. Cornholio packs very neatly and has now changed the way he closes it, but only slightly, with good results. When I closed it, I pulled the loop through the Top flap as far as it would go. Then through the side flaps. The Side flaps were basically just touching as you suggested it should be. The key was to ensure the bottom and top flap were closed as much as possible. It was a very simple fix. :) Cheers. My grammar sometimes resembles that of magnetic refrigerator poetry... Ghetto

Edited after a nice dinner :) Yes I do. I don't think any one really made much fuss or notice about it untill J.B. mentioned it. But since you asked..... This Site is Very user friendly. I still look at Blinc but honestly, it's a bit of a challenge to the average computer user. People like bright and shiny. Black is harder to read however I do it any way. I wasn't around much when Mick was asking people what we wanted in a site. I'm a still a skydiver (and not afraid to admit it ). I tend to use this site more often, Largely because I can keep in touch with my Skydiving buddies. I don't feel I have much to offer in the BASE comunity just right yet. However I read blinc to answer questions on a more technical level. I'm one of those users that look at Blinc every day so I guess that would make me a lurker. But then again, I've always been a lurker on that site. I do post occasionally under a different psuedonym. (I gave up on the DS name altogether btw) Skydivers have more questions about BASE and tend to use the Skydiving site. As far as the hardcore Blinc users? I'd tend to agree that this site, COULD draw others over. but to what degree? At this point I don't think many would make this exclusive. Mick's done a TON of work to keep it going and I'd hate for it to be turned off. He's a very talented and technical person. I have no doubt that he's aware of how user friendly dz.com is. Take a Look at all the feed back he got from the "knutson" . That was nearly instantaneous so there's no doubt blinc gets used heavily. I believe this site tends to lead others to Blinc. This has no bearing on the amount I use it. I'm hungry now and I must missed the PT loads. If I come up with any thing else (preferably less winded) I'll pipe back in Cheers. I don't really want to get too far off track. The people using them were extremely accomlished skydivers. Sponsored Athletes. They already had multiple cutaways, and flying to them is like walking. They had that handle for both cutaway and reserve. I don't know who else ever had them on both sides. I liked the handles. But Really couldn't say they are a great Idea for all people. If sundevil777 wanted to keep the same kind of handle I was just showing the difference. Cheers. My grammar sometimes resembles that of magnetic refrigerator poetry... Ghetto

That's not funny

I believe they were designed for ease of pulling and still have a low profile, rather than ease of keeping.... We got off track talking about keeping them My grammar sometimes resembles that of magnetic refrigerator poetry... Ghetto

This would indicate you train to throw them away. In reality most people don't intentionally train to hold on to their handles. They just don't train to throw them. Also, I've never used 2 hands to pull the reserve. The first cutaway was an easy one. The handles just happened to be in my hands. However, 2 hands for the cutaway?...Oh yeah... that's happened,... no choice. Once back in freefall it was back to normal. Sure enough, Still had the handles. At the time it was not a conscious effort to keep them. That seems to be how it goes the first time or two. You keep them or you don't. He obviously has too much money, or knows someone who's really good at canopy control, and very aware who's gonna follow his handle down.
