The following scam has been reported: Click here to read more about these kind of scams. Remember: DO NOT do business with anyone who offers to send you payment for a higher amount than your selling price with the understanding that you'll send back the balance. Be suspicious of anyone claiming to be acting on behalf of a "client" or another "customer". Be suspicious of anyone claiming to be from Nigeria or West Africa If you agree to accept a check payment, then do not send anything, gear or "change" before the check cleared. And be careful, if you manage to clear a fraudulent check then you may be liable for the damages if the bank finds out later. Make sure your bank authenticates the check. Hey Beth, I've asked a few times for the vendors list and haven't heard anything yet. I'm getting a sense that a lot of the industry players are not going to the convention this year. Why is that? Can you publish a list of vendors who've confirmed that they'd be there please? This has always been an opportunity to get exposed to manufacturers and the likes. It's one of the factors that people consider when deciding whether to come or not. I for one would like to know. Same goes for seminars. Who or what has been confirned for this year.

Heya all, We've run the indexing again and it took a bit longer than expected. For some reason the posts for the last few months are not being indexed. While doing CRW, on exit another jumper experienced a 180 off heading opening with line twists and flew straight into this jumper. This jumper was setting up to approach the formation and was unaware of the canopy heading at her. This jumper had a toggle

During a tandem skydive the student fell out of the harness on deployment. Strong Enterprises, the maker of the tandem gear involved on this jump has examined video of the skydive and has concluded that the harness was not properly fitted to this passenge

Any word on this? I went back and the link to the vendors page seem to have been removed (even though the same page is still sitting on the server) I am curious to know who's going to be there. If your webmaster cannot update the site quickly, can you post a list here? I'm also curious about the nightly seminars. What's been confirmed?

Jumper was reported to have a malfunctioning main and for some reason pulled the reserve too low to get inflation before landing. Details are few on this incident, this is not a normal DZ but more of an informal group that jumps at the airport.

Now there's a wise man. There are almost as many 'tricks' out there as there are web sites and this is still the single most important thing you can do. There are a lot of other things you should do, and not do - as Google will also penalize you when it spots one of the many tricks. I'm sure there will be people here who offer to make it happen for you. As with skydiving, get the basics right and be careful about who you take advice from...including myself. If you are willing to pay, but not break the bank, consider talking to someone like Eric Wolfram. At least read some of his writings. For entertainment, read Matt Cutts: Gadgets, Google, and SEO Blog. He's got an inside view of Google and will bombard you with a combination of good stuff an BS. You be the filter. Have fun!
