  11. I just had a harness cut down from a C20 to a C17. When I sent it to Sunpath for the adjustment (120.00 I believe they charged) I also asked them about installing hip rings. They sent me a quote back (within a day of receiving my rig I must add) and said the addition of hip rings would be about 650.00 due to there is not much left of the old harness to use when installing hip rings, the 650.00 bacially covered the cost of a new harness assy, using your existing hardware. They did not recommend it due to the cost, but would do it if I felt the need to dish out 650 for an entire harness. Sunpath will also charge a manitory 15.00 for a rig inspeaction they do with every rig you send them for any reason. They also recommended I add a bridal cover for 35.00, which I did. So the entire cost, less shipping was 120.00 for the harness cutdown, 15.00 for the inspection and 35 for the bridal cover. Arrived on my doorstep in perfect condition the day it was promised. SMA#18

  16. Hey All.. I need to defend Hook on this one, AS you can see on his post, he was commenting on a line I had in my original that was ment as a joke and an open invite to for myself to get slammed a bit. He quoited a line in my original post that is no longer there, I removed it for just that reason than many might not see the sense of humor in it. Hook did and responded, but he dud at the same time I was deciding to remove the line from the original post. He's not being harsh by any means, he was merely kidding. He was just to fast in is reply, I had my original post edited within minutes of posting, but he beat me to it. I't all good, nothing harsh about it! Sorry for the confusion! SMA#18
  17. Sabre 210's. I read your post and it's balls on accurate with regard to my own experience with it as a "new jumper". I transitioned into a Sabre 210 and if I have an expereince packer pack it for me, I have had very nice consistent openings with it, about a 700 foot snivel with the ability to look up and watch the canopy unfold and the slider ride down the lines. When I got this canopy it had 25 jumps on it and was a crisp as can be, as a NEW jumper and packer.. some of my pack jobs have indeed spanked the living you know what out of me. I am SURE it's all due to my inexpereince in getting the damn thing in the bag in a semi orderly fashion, but let me tell you, if not done correctly this thing will slam the crap out of you, I have the black and blue inner thighs to prove it. Sometimes 5 bucks is worth a million! SMA#18
  18. Sweet! I was torn between the Wings and an Odyessy. In about 20 freaking weeks I'll tell you how I like the Odyessy. Great colors dude! Sweet rig! SMA#18
  19. After AFF Jump 1, researched and asked my JM questions till he puked. After Jump 4 I found a hell of a deal on sporifieds.com. Complete Rig (with Cypres) Jump Suit, Frap Hat, Factory Diver, Altimeter, Audible, logbook, video's, all paper work, etc. All in perfect condition with 25 jumps on rig. Sent Cypressin for maintenance and batts. Conatiner to Sunpath for inspection and cut down harness (from C-20 to 17) and it was still worth the price I paid for the set up. I actually did my Jump 11 (gear transition, forst hand deploy) with my own rig without having to pay "rental fees". I love it but ready to Down size since I'm not even at a 1;1 wing load on the main. Good luck in your search.. Blue Skies SMA#18
  20. I'm a fairly new jumper and jumping a J5 with a Sabre 190. (about 60 jumps on the 190.) I've ordered a J3 Odyessy, (which is going to be about 20-22 weeks for delievery, ouch) I was looking to drop a Sabre2-170 in it when I came accross a very low jump Hornet 170 (150 jumps, lines white and canopy crisp) DOM 1/02. I read all the reviews here on Dropzone and decided to pick it up for 700.00. (actually got the Hornet and a Zero deploy PD160R for 1400.00) Did I do good? From what I can tell and read, I feel as though I did ok! Any furhter info/opinion would be appreciated. Thanks all! SMA#18
