  1. This is really simple. Here's how to answer your own question. Assume: 1. The victim is YOUR daughter 2. You are a single parent ... she is your only child 3. She is the apple of your eye ... the center of your world 4. You are the same to her 5. Do you want the courts ... or anyone for that matter saying a porn magazine or any magazine ... can publish her nude, tortured, raped body for all to see? How you answer that is how the courts should answer it.
  2. Sort of like this... 3. Any way to scroll forward in those videos...???... Every time I try and move the time slider ... it restarts at the beginning. Quincy...
  4. Have recently seen a 'virus' popup that came from a Facebook page that at first glance looked like Norton page saying click here to stop a virus attack. Saw it on my computer and a few days later had a neighbor call me 'cause they had the same thing and wanted to know what to do. Without looking closely, it looked like a VERY REAL warning. Best bet ... buy a real program from a real company. No one is perfect but your name brand vendors are the best way to go. My son used a free program and every time he would send me an e-mail with an attachment Norton would go nuts with all the viruses he would be sending that his 'FREE' service completely missed. Have used Norton for 10 years and love it. That said, I ONLY uses Norton Internet Security. Some of the 'other' bonus programs hammer your system like an anvil. Internet security is a Firewall and Antivirus pair. Quincy...
  5. Unless you're going to put a lot of music/videos/pictures on it ... nope. Have the 16GB ... a couple hundred pics ... 1,400 songs ... tons of apps with some that are fairly large ... some skydiving videos I've made ... and still have 8 GB free. Found that in order to save battery life for the phone/internet ... I still use my ipod rather than the iphone for music. Hope this helps. Quincy...
  6. For heat ... try sitting on the top of your clothes dryer. Can move it around to a hotter/cooler spot as you need. Quincy...
  7. XSi hands down...!!!... Still have an XT ... HAD an XTi ... now use the XSi. There is NO comparison in quality of images. XSi is a far superior camera. All three were/are used in tandem and RW work. Quincy...
  8. Trunk sez ... Expect to see a bunch of new products, __________________________________________________ Congratulation on the new direction ... and ... can't wait to see what's cooking. Quincy...
  9. Tongue Switches by Conceptus ... Don't know which one you tried, but try model L1334 on Paragear. L1334 Tongue Switch at Paragear Conceptus Home Page Have used them extensively for 3 years and love 'em. Have had some contact with the company and they have fantastic customer service. Well worth your time to take a look. Quincy
  10. After using Conceptus Tongue Switches for over two years, last week, I bought a new one. It didn't seem to be working correctly. E-mailed them on Monday and had a replacement in hand before the weekend ... or the one in question was even returned. The new one worked flawlessly. To have them ship the replacement out so I wouldn't miss a weekend of jumping was pretty impressive customer service. It shows they really stand behind their products. You don't hear too much about this kind of customer service these days. This is how it should be done. Great job guys...!!!... Quincy Videographer Skydive Carolina
  11. Can't believe no one has mentioned > yet ... Of all the skydiving movies ... this has to be the absolute WORST...!!!... You didn't even want to tell people you jumped if they had seen this one, it was so bad. For that matter, you may have wanted to quit.
  12. It very well may have been a valid check from a valid account ... but still fraudulent. Look at it this way. Someone steals your checkbook ... writes a check to someone else ... and they go to the bank to cash it. Yes ... it is a 'valid' check from your 'valid' account ... but it is clearly a fraudulent check. Would you want to have those funds from your account given to the person who thought they had a 'valid' check. The manager would have no way of knowing the check was fraudulent unless the account was flagged for stolen checks. Tough break. Use one of e-bays paypal type services.
  13. On a rare occasion you'll get an error burning if you had any problems with the program crashing during the edit. With 40 mins of video ... there had to be a lot of editing. Have had this happen several times, unfortunately, the only way out I've found is to redo the video. A second problem that has caused a crash is if you're using different file formats for the video ... as in mixing .avi ... .mpeg ... or a Windows video format. Again, the only way I've found to get a clean burn is to redo the video. Obviously, if you're using different formats, it may mean having to recapture the video or find a program that will do a file type conversion. Hope this helps. Quincy...
  14. For all the buttons and whatnot features ... be sure it gives the street names in turn-by-turn directions. Best Buy has the Nuvi 260W on sale for $199 vs the usual $350 on Garmin's website. Just bought one for my son. Main thing ... Garmin ... Garmin ... Garmin. Quincy...
  15. 800.828.4040 Give 'em a call and let them tell you directly. Get it straight from Canon. Quincy...
  16. DSE... Thumbs up on getting the replacements. Good post. New question ... how in the world did you find the camera/lens after ..."my 40D, 15mm EF lens took a 3000' tumble..."...??? Man, is that ever some world class spotting/searching...!!!... Quincy...
  17. Internet Explorer 8 Anyone tried the new version of IE...???... If so, how is it? Yeah ... yeah ... yeah ... I know lots of people hate IE ... but the question is if you've tried it ... how is it? Quincy...
  18. As for your question ... depends on what altitude the premie happened. If it was low and near pull altitude ... a quick check to see if the premie gave a good canopy and if so, then pull in place. After all, that is probably what everyone is already expecting you to do. No need to add to more confusion by having the others trying to figure out who is tracking where. If you can't tell if the premie has a good canopy ... then you gotta track. Had a similiar experience out of a CASA. On exit, noticed one jumper had his hand on the top of anothers head. Considering the crowd and the jump, thought someone was clowning around as most of the others had funneled. After a few seconds of him keeping it on top, I noticed the chin straps flapping. Fraction of a second later, the helmet flies off missing me by no more than a foot. Amazingly, the guy found the helmet with no damage. Quincy...
  19. Picasa ... which is free ... by Google will open them. You can also do some simple editing. BMFin also has a good point ... Canon's software that comes with the camera will open them and allow you to do quite a bit of editing. Quincy...
  20. Hi ... Thanks. Sure did miss being in the air, but had fun taking the pics. Wing is coming along very nicely. Just can't wait to air it out again. Quincy...

  22. From experience ... buy the extended coverage. You WILL NOT regret it. Using a camera in skydiving is not using it around the house. They take more vibration ... opening shock ... wind exposure than a normal ground-bound camera will in a gazillion shots. For the what it's worth column, I did not have it on my XT. Big mistake. Just bought an XTi and got it thru a local camera dealer. Worked with them on a price and got a huge deal on a 5 year warranty. Total ticket cheaper than the internet or big box stores. Shop around ... but ... just buy it. Quincy...
  23. It should make a huge difference...!!!... All in favor of it. You can watch some cars in traffic and tell when the driver is on a cell phone. I hate more regulation as much as anyone, but, this is a good thing. Quincy...
  24. Err 99 Before you send it back ... try this link. Some good info. I just had to deal with it on a Rebel XT. Ended up sending it back to Canon. Hope this helps. Quincy...
