I want video of me jumping out and doing an awesome FF dive while Modest Mouse's song is playing. It starts off w/ "This Plane is definatly crashing" then the guitar rips it up. I believe its on "The Lonesome Crowded West". Right after Trucker's Atlas. So that would be song 13 me thinks. You don't meet too many modest mouse fans from across the country, awesome! Just saw the Foo when they came through Chicago, agreed on an awesome show! other good bands to see live are: Modest Mouse Alkaline Trio Green Day Boxcar Racer Metallica was fun but I wouldn't go see them now. St. Anger sucks(the song, haven't heard the album) I so hope that Radiohead comes to town, that's a band I really want to see. It's weird...Just yesterday I saw a friend that did her tandem at skydive chicago while I was doing AFP. She invited me in and she was telling me she'll be doing another tandem in July and can't wait to see Roger. He was just good people. We were all camping out, drinking beer and Roger rolls up on his golf cart and offered to show us the (not done) auditorium and just made sure everyone was enjoying themselves. Another time I asked him where the cheap hotels are at and he asked me, "Are you looking for a hotel room or just a place to crash?" I said the latter and he hooked me up w/ a room upstairs, let me use the shower and bathroom up there too, then when I asked if there was anything I could do or give him in return he responded, "Just do something good for somebody else." -

I flipped on the news tonight and saw the story. They showed roger swooping and stated that someone had died at SDC. I said to myself, "Can't be Roger, can't be Roger". I'm kinda in a state of shock right now, Roger was such an inspiration to me and he probably didn't even know it. My heart goes out to Roger's family and friends, especially Missy and Rook... I totally agree w/ Michele on this Jess. You're not an asshole but someone who's pointed out something very important by posting this. I know that whem I'm jumping tomorrow, I will be sure to look at chest straps more than usual. I'm up in New Hampshire now at a buddies Aunt and Uncle's house and am going to Maine's coast tomorrow. Between the cost and NH my buddy, whose got two tandems, agreed to go up to Skydive New England so I can hit 70 jumps. Anyone gonna be out there? We're thinking of setting up camp and will head back after visiting the coast to party and meet some folk. With beer of course. Planning on being there at 11am. So I've gotten shit for this in the past and I don't care. If anyone remembers, or knows, I go bowling every almost every Wednesday night w/ friends and tonight was the night. When I hit that 7th strike I was FULL of adrenaline. It felt like I smoked weed for the first time. I couldn't stop giggling. Then 8-holy shit I'm going crazy, then 9 and...Shit! Well almost. Does anyone else love the smell that your rig smells like or any clothes that you just jumped in smell like? I'm at work but am leaving for the DZ at 1pm and my rig is under my desk.
