It can depend on the DZ. At Kapowsin, you're off student status when you've completed 20 jumps and a graduation dive (A license check dive). Then the prices drop to up-jumper price and you can finish up your license. But not all dz's do this. Just call up and ask your DZ about it

I'm not into freefly yet, but will eventually get into it. Yes I imagine a smaller container will help a little bit, but I don't think it will have a HUGE effect having a larger container. When you buy gear, buy it so that it fits you NOW and not later. When you have the experience, go ahead and start freeflying. You can get a smaller main/container as you progress and can handle the canopy size. Just curious, how much do you weigh? If you're an average sized person, you don't really have to worry about it. If you're larger like I am (250lbs @ 5'9"), it makes a bit more of a difference

I checked my Cache, history and cookies. Nothin' unusual. Nothing on my computer has changed, and my dads friend never got on the computer. this is one helluva mystery for me.

On jump 13 or so, I did a solo and was falling directly over Morgan's Pond. I pulled at 3K and the P/C was caught in my burble for about a second and a half, just enough time for me to wonder when it was going to open. I thought to myself in that second and a half: "Well if this opens too low for it to fully inflate, at least the water will slow me down" Of course I was also thinking about pulling my "Oh Shit" handle

The computer is in my bedroom and there are 3 other computers in the house. And it's only my dad and I that live here. No one, and i mean NO ONE uses my computer without my permission. And why on earth would someone need the last 6 feet of toiletpaper in the house for their runny nose???

I honestly have no clue what-so-ever as to how this happened. I came home and I find this by my computer. Only my dad and I live here, no on else. We have had one guest today and he's a real timid guy and never left the den where my dad was fixing his computer. I already called my dad and asked him what this was all about and I think he thinks I'm crazy. The house was locked up and no one else has a key...and why on earth would someone just come over and do this?!?! The picture is very SFW, nothing bad. Just friggin weird. I've heard Psycho Packing is much much easier and often produces even softer openings than pro-packing on some canopies.

Because of your interest in the sport, and your thirst for knowlege (even though you will probably always land in any plane you take off in), and your supportiveness of your husband in this diverse sport, I think it's safe to say you are no Whuffo. Whuffo's are people that absolutely don't understand and think we have a deathwish. I don't see you as one of those people -
OMG you never told me about the car accident...or you did and I'm just a moron...that's the likely event... I think you'll be fine. Can you stretch your chest and stomach muscles without too much pain? You probably won't be using your chest muscles nearly as much as you do swimming so I imagine you'll be fine. I think the only thing that might bug you will be staying in the big open boxman position with your arm out and up like that, and I don't think canopy flying will even come close to matching your hardcore swimming I say enjoy the weekend, and enjoy a little for me too since I get to work! Blue ones
