The Regiment was disbanded after Somalia I think I heard somewhere that they may bring it back you can still get para training in the military. The Skyhawks are the military demo team Lyal trains them in Perris in the winter

Back in 2001, I bought an RW suit from GoCrazy In 2003 they converted it to a camera suit adding wings, I still use it and will continue with it for many years. I have since bought freefly pants, a CRW suit, Camera jacket, all of which are well constucted and comfortable. Good value

Is going from a WL of 1.1 to 1.4 too much too soon?
174fps replied to Newbie's topic in Safety and Training
if your profile is correct you are not even doing 100 jumps per year at that rate I can see why you would think 300 jumps too long between downsizing. People who say they are going to learn to swoop once they have got the smaller canopy, have it backwards, learn to really fly the larger canopy 50 jumps can be done in a few days at a boogie, unless you already have the experience, you cannot learn a new canopy in 50 jumps. I put a 170 Spectre in my Voodoo V3 (150 tempo reserve) for about 300 jumps before getting my 150 generally you can go one size larger or one size smaller on most rigs. Andrew -
Thanks Betsy I pull left handed now, and I won't be doing any linked exits any time soon. Andrew

USPA downsizing guidelines proposal
174fps replied to HydroGuy's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Eloy accepts both CSPA and BPA memberships. The Ranch and Perris accepts CSPA memberships (and maybe others, but never had to check into it). Betsy just posted a list of nationalities that require USPA membership to jump at Eloy (in the Holiday Boogie thread), BPA third party insurance does not cover the US so USPA membership is required for Brits. USPA temporary membership is $15 for a month. -

December Skydiving Mag Cover Photo?
174fps replied to klafollette's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
CReW formations sink on the camera flyer with smaller formations you can compensate by flying a smaller canopy, wearing weights etc with larger formations a device that allows you to use leg power, is a lot easier than pulling on front risers for several minutes.
