FedEx donated the airplane to our airport (MKE) a few years ago for training purposes. Recently, someone decided that they didn't want the aircraft in FedEx colors anymore. Our department got tasked with painting it. I just had to get involved, so they let me climb in the cherry picker and take a few swipes with the gun. My boss is taking the pictures. The guy in the harness is like, "Get these goofs outta here so I can get my job done." The engines are out of it. Look close and you can see 2x4's holding the side engine pod covers. and FedEx is fine with their publicity donation being repainted?? I think it's a sad indictment on the people who use this site that the "quotes" thread garnered more attention than threads like this. People never cease to underwhelm me. You are not now, nor will you ever be, good enough to not die in this sport (Sparky) My Life ROCKS! How's yours doing?

Why do some/many people assume everyone want marriage/kids?
Squeak replied to grue's topic in The Bonfire
This is not the 1st thread of it's ilk on here. Mrs Squeak and I are now in our 50s, over the last 25 years I have seen people get aggressive towards her for not wanting kids. I have had people call me selfish and immature (not arguing with either) for not wanting kids. I have had a Urologist refuse me a vasectomy because I didn’t already have kids (I was in my late 30s). FAR too many people seem to worry too much about other peoples business instead of concerning themselves with there own. I work with kids, a lot of which have had really shitty childhoods, because their parents are really crap at being parents. Like skydiving just because you can does in no way imply you should. Squeak replied to grue's topic in The Bonfire
It's like a whuffo not understanding why we skydive. All the troubles. The pain. The heartache. You can't understand skydiving without doing it. And parenthood cannot be understood without being a parent. I wish I could explain it. I can't. I dont have trouble pain or heartache in my skydiving life or in my married life. Maybe Im doing it wrong You are not now, nor will you ever be, good enough to not die in this sport (Sparky) My Life ROCKS! How's yours doing? -
Why do some/many people assume everyone want marriage/kids?
Squeak replied to grue's topic in The Bonfire
I normally just say "I have my reasons", but sometimes when pressed I'll expound on those reasons. Usually that ends the conversation I simply state that I have absolutely no desire to be a parent. If they press the point I tell them to fuck off :) You are not now, nor will you ever be, good enough to not die in this sport (Sparky) My Life ROCKS! How's yours doing? -

ANY of the suit manufacturers will make them, but would likely be cheaper asking your local rigger. You are not now, nor will you ever be, good enough to not die in this sport (Sparky) My Life ROCKS! How's yours doing?

Which Verical suit or Tonfly suit. they both make more than one design. are you looking at doing VFS or general freefly. are you tall and thin or short and hefty or something else.. Here's a thought, why not ask around at a place where you might actually see someone flying a suit, umm like a DZ or wind tunnel. Find the guy who is freeflying in shorts and a t shirt with all the other guys who are wearing the $800 suits and ask him what you should get. he can probably fly his body and might have a better idea FWIW I fly one of the $800 suits so dont ask me (Vertical Raptor) You are not now, nor will you ever be, good enough to not die in this sport (Sparky) My Life ROCKS!
