    Thank you for attaching this. I have explained my job to people in the past as the stuff nightmares and horror movies are made of. It gets pushed back and not properly delt with. Because its what we do, its part of the job.

    So my bf is quite knowledgeable about guns. He said it may be your triggers firing pin safety detent. It isn't getting depressed right it will effect the firing pin strike. Such as a piece of gunpowder or what not that its dirty.The pic attached is the piece effected. It is the little circular button at the back of the slide. The reference is a s&w m&p 40. So maybe give it a real good cleaning and see if it helps?
