    I started jumping later in life and my focus is different than most. I just want to enjoy myself and I can really have fun just punching a hole in the air along with jumping with friends. I log jumps that are notable or just enough to demonstrate currency but most don't get written down. That's probably not the best way to be, but it works for me. I am not the man.     Of our 3 girls 1 was from the shelter, one was abandoned on a neighbor's doorstep, and the other was roaming stray (probably dropped off-we couldn't find the family) and they are all great.     Weather was great through the time trials and today. I was disappointed that Dago Red didn't come this year and excited that Fred Cabanas (Pitts Biplane-WFFC) is flying the Conch Fury in the Unlimited Class. Fred will make the silver race if nothing breaks and may get in the gold. I'm proudly wearing my Conch Fury Racing Team hat and my Scarlett Screamer F1 shirt. Speeds have been low so far-but they always are at the eginning. No one wants to belch an engine early in the week. Voodoo had a mishap requiring a new prop and Mystical Power (T6) is chasing some gremlins but they'll get her running on time. The Snowbirds came in today and did some formation fly overs that were so tight that it put the Tbirds to shame. That's a few of the high spots. I'm catching my flight home in a few hours. I am not the man. But the man knows my name...and he's worried

    Contact my boss and tell him that I need more time off. that drive all night, jump a few times, and drive all night back home kicked my ass-but I'll do it again next year if that's the only way I can get there. Oh, and you need to up the minutes on your cell plan for next year

    Thanks for the head's up on this. My wife started work at our shelter yesterday. She wanted to help, I didn't want her going to the Gulf coast without me and since she is a counciler with an early childhood undergrad degree working with the displace kids and families here was a perfect fit.     I ended up with the day free so I delivered a case of Corona to Skydive Dallas-Good group of people. Overcast so they were only doing 4K.
