  1. Here is what Grey wrote: "To prepare for a robbery, Seattle First National has set aside a cache of bills and each serial number of each bill has been recorded on microfiche. They count out a hundred stacks of twenty-dollar bills, each stack worth $2,000. The load must weigh twenty pounds, maybe more." "Inside the airport, the bank officials from Seattle First National bank lug the ransom into the Northwest flight operations office. The bank officials cut open a seal of the leather satchel and hand FBI boss J. Earl Milnes the Canvas bag inside, Its dimension are roughly a foot by a foot, and eight or nine inches tall. Milnes looks at the money. He does not count it. He hands the bag to Al Lee, Northwest's director of flying." "Al Lee scurries out of the detective's car and around the trunk. He opens it. He grabs the canvas sack of money and waits for Tina in the rain" 1) The above suggest the stacks were bundled with rubberbands equally by bank personnel who know how to count stacks of money. Even when rushed. 2) The serial numbers were already on microfiche (recorded by the bank). The FBI serial number list looks like it was reproduced from microfiche 3) The FBI Boss did a quick look-see at money, that was the extent of the FBI dealings with the money. Two of the three bundles found by Ingram had 2000 dollars with one bundle missing 10 bills that were either lost to the enviroment or removed by someone. That is to the path of least resistance.
  2. It's interesting, out of the 3 Bundles found by Ingram, 200 dollars was missing (ten 20 dollar bills) AND all of the 20's were missing from one bundle. Would you mind to disclose the serial number on your 20?
  3. What about someone else other than the FBI solving Norjack.....would they like that? Has to be some ego involved. The FBI is like a black hole, sucking all information in from various sources. Little of that vast wealth of information they have trickles back out to the public. AND what they do release back to the public is barely readable, because they have the worst Xerox copy machines in the world. D.B. Cooper parachute, tie displayed for first time SeattlePi article on the upcoming WSHM Cooper Exhibit opening. http://www.seattlepi.com/local/article/D-B-Cooper-parachute-tie-displayed-for-first-4749773.php
  4. Look forward to seeing your next 3 videos. Maybe you would know the following or somebody else. Evidently $5,800 dollars was found in three bundles by Ingram. That means ten 20 dollars bills were not in one of the 3 bundles because each bundle was suppose to contain one hundred 20 dollar billls??? I'm wondering if the Hijacker might have taken 200 dollars from one of the bundles as a clue to proove he survived. Did the FBI purposely bundled some bundles with only 90 bills? The FBI released the serial numbers of all the 20 dollar bills given to Cooper. FBI claims the Ingram three bundles recovered matched the serial number sequence they had bundled for Cooper. Did they release the serial numbers of the bills found by Ingram? I wonder if the FBI bundled the bills in sequence as found in the list they released. Be interesting to find out if the missing ten 20 dollar bills were from within the innter part of the bundle or came off the outter part of the bundle. Seems like the bills would break off from the outside of the bundle first, if they got lost to the enviroment.
  5. Supposively Cooper was in his mid 40's at the time of the hijacking. That was over the hill 40 years ago. Lordy Lordy DB Cooper is 40.

  7. The FBI guys are top notch. Smarter than me. They have bigger fish to fry and not enough resources to dedicate to Cooper. (low priority probably) That being said... Maybe they should release the DNA sequence, if it's good, and let the world pay for DNA comparison tests of all the people they suspect or relatives of those suspects.
  8. So, have you figured out where g****man (the guy at the end of the show) was with his Airstream trailer.
  9. I watched the show and almost believed it was KC again. Whatever happen to Meltzer's show?...Did it get canceled. The show seem to be well done.
  10. Has anyone seen this DB Cooper video produced by Northwest Airlines History Centre? Link below..... description below link.. http://collections.washingtonhistory.org/details.aspx?id=120205 If you like to hear a Northwest Orient song... go to the NWA History Centre website below.......great website introduction.... http://www.nwahistory.org/
  11. Evidently, the Washington State Historical Society thought DB Cooper's Canadian letter (referenced by Paul Geivett videos) was interesting enough to potentially include in their online museum. They contacted a Canadian police department looking for it. I guess since the Police Department couldn't verify the letter still exists they didn't include it in their online exibits. The Dan Cooper comic book from Canada and a Canadian letter from DB Cooper?...hmmm Copy of the Response letter from Canadian authorites at link. Text describing letter below link. http://collections.washingtonhistory.org/details.aspx?id=122237 "letter in reply to records access request, submitted to the Vancouver Police Department, BC, Canada, regarding search of archive for letter purported to have been written by DB Cooper in 1971 and mailed to the office of the editor at the Vancouver Province. The Province published the letter on Wednesday, December 1, 1971, but the postage date was Tuesday, November 30, 1971. The records request was part of WSHS research undertaken in 2012 to verify if the Cooper letter is with the VPD Archives Unit. The reply letter indicates no such letter was discovered."
  12. Only Law Enforcement can rightfully be the first to say case closed. Any amatuer sleuth who declares "CASE CLOSED" before Law Enforcement is wishful thinking and desperate for attention. I think a couple of people here really don't believe their suspect is D.B. Cooper DEEP DOWN (these people do seem SANE), they just like to keep their selfish superficial fantasy going. There is more to life than constantly hitting your head on the same wall, find a door and go in a different direction.
  13. I got this FBI Picture off Tom Kaye's website. It shows the aft section of Cooper's plane including where Cooper sat, the lavatory, the aft stairs lowered and what appears to be......... the Interphone. Can someone verify that is the Interphone hanging on the wall in the red circle? Photo attached....
  14. The question is.... Would the rubber bands still be recognizable after 9 years in the harsh enviroment of the Tena Bar area? The coldest month in nearby Vancouver Washinton is January with avg high of 45 and low of 32, with Dec and Feb not far behind (almost the same temps) The hotest month is July having with an average high of 75 and low of 53. About 6 inches of rain falls in each the coldest months of Dec. Jan. Feb. adding up to about 18 inches in three months. With probable frequent sub freezing tempatures. The money seem to found in sandy soil where the rain could easily seep to the money and rubber bands. There didn't seem to be much ground insulation since it is sandy. (I could be wrong) So repeated freezing and unfreezing appears to happen during at least three months of the year Dec. Jan. Feb. for 9 years with constant exposure to water in the rainy northwest for most all the year. I can the see the bundles being "entombed" as Kaye suggest thus being the only thing holding the rubberbands together. But Ingram was able to pull the bundles from the sand and notice the bands still on the money. (Still recognizable) Crumbling to the touch. Somebody (Blevins?) needs to go down near Tena Bar and bury some money with the same type of rubberbands. Check to see how it looks in a year. (if this hasn't been done) I guess Blevins would know the temps in that area as good as anyone. Attached is a picture of little Ingram recreating his dig in the snow.
  15. Don't forget about Paul Geivett.

  17. A few weeks ago I posted my thoughts on the 2011 documentary "The Skyjacker that got away" featuring Kaye...he explains how he thinks the money got to Tena Bar.....Next Airing of the documentary in on Monday, August 19th 11am ET.
  18. This came across the news wire today. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-23731759 http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-205_162-57598871/area-51s-existence-acknowledged-by-cia-in-declassified-documents/
  19. As far as DB Cooper I think we all know who has information...the FBI I never used a FOIA, but I have the seen results of a FOIA. Your right, be specific. (For ex.) If pages are missing from already released documents, ask for those page numbers. Don't give them a reason not to help. You can also visit the reading room at FBI headquarters in Washington DC. Below is a link to instructions on getting FBI records via FOIA. They have a phone number to call in order to find out the status of your FOIA. http://www.fbi.gov/foia
  20. FBI agent Larry Carr (lead agent on the DB Cooper case back then) was posting here in 2007 and 2008. All his comments (under username CKRET) made here at DZ are available in downloadable PDF format and easily searchable...link below...Item number 4. http://collections.washingtonhistory.org/results.aspx?hl=222&page=1 Larry Carr states: AND
  21. This person is claiming that DB Cooper name is Dale Cooper. Maybe he knows something we don't. Link below and excerpts from article below link. http://listverse.com/2012/10/27/top-10-us-airline-hijackings-of-the-sixties/ The hijacker checked in as “Dale Cooper,” The police had interviewed the man who sold Cooper the ticket and asked him if any of the passengers looked suspicious. Without hesitating, the airline employee responded – “yes, Dale Cooper.” The police told the news reporter the suspect’s name was “D. Cooper”. The reporter asked if that was a “D or a B?” The person responded, “yes.” And thus the legend of “DB Cooper” was born.
  22. I looked over the transcript. It's kind of difficult to get the full context of communicaiton on the ground in Seattle when there are no timestamps. Would be nice to have the interphone communications more clearly defined within the context of the Pilot and Ground Control communication transcripts as well. Like... was the Pilot on the interphone and relaying demands to Ground Control. Or did the pilot take notes from the interphone conversations then talked to Ground control. It seems most definite Cooper was using the interphone when he was about to jump, after Tina had been sent upfront. I wonder if they got any good prints from the Interphone. He was the last to use it. Maybe he had gloves on?....I guess only The FBI knows.
  23. From my understanding, the interphone was not used and all communications between cockpit and cooper were through hand delivered notes sent via stewardess. Is this true? Here is a throwback video. Walter Cronkite in a 1972 special called "Whatever Happened to 72?" It's about the security measures taken (metal detectors and such) due to the rash of hijackings. Even with all the security measure a guy with a big metal case (CBS employee undercover) got on the plane without the case being searched or xrayed. http://www.cbsnews.com/video/watch/?id=50136199n
  24. I can't remember where, but I remember seeing reference to a phone /communication device in the lavatory of a commercial plane. Does anyone know if this is true on a 727 or any commercial plane? Attached is a picture of what I think is a accurate layout of the Cooper plane. (found on the net)
