  1. John, honestly, out of curiosity, how many times does a gun intended for home protection injur or kill someone other than an intruder? If I were to buy a house here in Houston, which I'm considering, I'm not sure if I'd want a gun, but I am sure I'd hate to need one and not have one. As a gun owner, I would of course insist on being certified and trained to the hilt and very current on target shooting. I would also keep it very secure/hidden-in-reach at home. I can't help think though, that with a gun in my house, the odds of someone accidentally getting shot with it just increased from zero to not zero. I might be looking in the wrong place for objectiveness , but I'd still like someone's perspective, and I figure since you're so passionate about this topic, you'd be more educated than some (at least as far as Texas is concerned! ) you've got to ask yourself one question: 'Do I feel loquacious?' -- well do you, punk?
  2. What justification does he have for believing that he has not been decieving himself of that he has not attributed the wrong cause to whatever feeling caused him to think this way? To not even be open to the possibility of being incorrect is a dangerous place to be in my opinion. You seem to be assuming that faith precludes any questioning or acceptance of an alternative, i.e. there is nothing to believe in. Am I right that you see faith and belief in a higher power as blind submission? If I am right, that's where I think the flaw lies. When you have this kind of faith and belief, there is constant questioning because there is constant challenge, both from outside and inside (how I really know? Do I trust myself, do I trust that God really is there?) But for every one of those questions, if you look 1. Deep within your own heart and find confirmation because it "feels" right, 2. To your logic and reason to know this choice is right (for you and for the world, not mutually exclusive), 3. To your reference of choice for perspective and confirmation, Then you have already questioned yourself and found you are doing what's right for you.
  3. Where does she need to go? I could pick up sweet AlliCat, but then I need to get my head to bed for work the next day, so I need an idea of the location/time frame involved.
  4. Love that other list too! you've got to ask yourself one question: 'Do I feel loquacious?' -- well do you, punk?
  5. I LOVE these awards!! That's a new sig line!! you've got to ask yourself one question: 'Do I feel loquacious?' -- well do you, punk?
  6. Good job Grue - way to hold out. It may have seemed like an option, but you would have been confusing who you think you're really mad at, which is her, not you and your pristine liver. If you're ever gonna drink, do it to toast and celebrate and have fun and in moderation. Someone else said it, and I'll reiterate: most people aren't strong enough to avoid medicating their reality into something else. I stumble, but I'm getting there. You're already there, which may not seem like an accomplishment, but it is. Hold on to it.
  7. Not trying to speak for Pajarito, but here's my perception: It's not someone or something else that he's believing. This is belief from within himself, confirmed by the teachings of others who believed the same way. There seems to be a cart vs. horse disagreement here. Faith and love and God are the horse, the bible and moral law and all the other "how we should do things", is the cart. you've got to ask yourself one question: 'Do I feel loquacious?' -- well do you, punk?
  8. Yes yes, that was the source of the idea. This is much cooler though. Granted, it would be pretty amazing, but if you pulled it off, they'd say, "Hey! Someone's copying Real Genius!" You should do the sweepstakes thing! you've got to ask yourself one question: 'Do I feel loquacious?' -- well do you, punk?
  9. Oh dear God, the cologne! I was just laughing about that with Wendy. Conway would always be one of the first people to greet you, and the girls get big hugs. But he really doused himself with that stuff, so you'd get a nice slick of it on your cheek and neck and shoulder, and it would NOT wear off! What was that stuff? you've got to ask yourself one question: 'Do I feel loquacious?' -- well do you, punk?
  10. Dude, been done. Haven't you seen Real Genius? They used a great big laser beam from space to pop the corn in the Dean's house. Also the source of many great quotes. "If there's ever anything I do for you, or more to the point, to you, give me a call." "Can you hammer a six-inch spike through a board with your penis?" "No." you've got to ask yourself one question: 'Do I feel loquacious?' -- well do you, punk?
  11. Ironically, the smart-looking girls didn't test well with Budweiser's target market. you've got to ask yourself one question: 'Do I feel loquacious?' -- well do you, punk?
  12. Hmm... And I always thought that most guys had a thing for librarians.(?) I have to agree with you on that one... nothing like a girl with her nose in a book... and the brains behind it... Shortly after entering the office work arena, I met my guy friends out after work. I was wearing my hair up in a practical twist, had tossed my contacts and worn glasses, and chose what I thought was a rather boring blue button-down and long skirt combo. Therefore I was a little shocked when they immediately applauded the "sexy librarian" look!! I never even knew about it. 'Course now I tell all the girls in glasses about that one! you've got to ask yourself one question: 'Do I feel loquacious?' -- well do you, punk?
  13. Oh. My. Goodness. You made those? Well done, sir. Well done indeed!! The cuteness is almost unbearable!!
  14. As we can see in this thread, even atheists can use their beliefs to judge & condemn others. Well yes, but they're not invoking Jesus and the Bible when they do it. Not saying it makes it OK, just doesn't make 'em hippocrites. Unless they feel others judge THEM unfairly, in which case, it does. you've got to ask yourself one question: 'Do I feel loquacious?' -- well do you, punk?
  15. I think someone in Bonfire said Materazzi might have twisted Zidane's nipple, which of course would make the headbutt provoked and fully deserved. If Materazzi did that, he's a punk. He was out to get under Zidane's skin. And Zidane let him. No judgement - in the heat of the game, the pressure, the contact, everything is SO close to the surface. I guess I just wonder how a 34 year old captain and team lynchpin wouldn't be on his guard against his own temper. you've got to ask yourself one question: 'Do I feel loquacious?' -- well do you, punk?
  16. I didn't want to take it into moral law territory. I meant, the Bible rather specifically says something to the effect of, "Judge not, lest ye be judged." If that's your reference of choice, but you DO judge as a course of faith, and don't accept that it's hippocritical, you're not doing a very good job at being faithful. you've got to ask yourself one question: 'Do I feel loquacious?' -- well do you, punk?
  17. Actually, he'll fit right in. There are a lot of subscribers to alternative realities / planes of existence there. you've got to ask yourself one question: 'Do I feel loquacious?' -- well do you, punk?

    IM IN LOVE!

No... as previously stated (numerous times not here) I am in fact quite clueless myself... mostly because I generally ignore any and all forms of intuition... you're talking about the other guy right?... cause I'm just bored... Oh shit. Yeah, I was talking to the other guy! you've got to ask yourself one question: 'Do I feel loquacious?' -- well do you, punk?
  19. But isn't the outcome measurable in action? That is, if a person's "faith" leads him to judge and condemn others, while it may work for him, it doesn't work for them. Therefore his faith is misguided. Does that hold any water? you've got to ask yourself one question: 'Do I feel loquacious?' -- well do you, punk?
  20. How could you not feel overwhelming fear when your love for him is so great? You absolutely have my sympathy and best wishes for his safety. I hope he makes himself proud and keeps his head on a swivel. Sounds like you raised a confident young man, self-assured of his path in life. I hope you and your wife are proud of yourselves too.
  21. If you want to go really quickly from one end of Oahu to the other, a car won't do it. They gots the big jam-ups there, mon. you've got to ask yourself one question: 'Do I feel loquacious?' -- well do you, punk?
  22. That happens a lot but what has that got to do with the need for proper and thorough Biblical discernment? Absolutely nothing - that is totally valid. I was just pointing out that it happens a lot, and those misguided sheep think they're on the path - are convinced of it in fact - and think everyone else should follow them. How are they to know they are mistaken when they think they know all the Bible has to teach them? you've got to ask yourself one question: 'Do I feel loquacious?' -- well do you, punk?

yeah... she might... of course some of y'all are clueless... (that is women) and have no idea that there's any thing going on... oh... not any of you in particular... just in general... Yes, some of us are very clueless. Then again, some of us prefer you not know just how clued in we are. Can you tell the difference? Congrats dude. It's so good to see your joy.
