Hee hee! Sigh. Each situation is different. I do agree with you though. If she doesn't struggle, and if he doesn't pull, hair restraint is effective. OK, it's Friday. I'm outta here. It was fun y'all!! Have a great weekend!! you've got to ask yourself one question: 'Do I feel loquacious?' -- well do you, punk?

So, objectively, and in your experience, that looks like he was effectively controlling a person who was actively resisting? Not challenging, I honestly want to know. you've got to ask yourself one question: 'Do I feel loquacious?' -- well do you, punk?

If someone was acting like a dumbass at the Kerry Family Labor Day Picnic, I'd have expected his security to do the same thing and supported it. I'd think it was a totally appropriate level of force. I have one set of rules for stupid, it does not depend on gender. Do you feel that they should baby the women a little? Would you have been ok with them roughing up a guy? Sorry, equality is one set of rules for everyone. Dude, absolutely not. I'm just saying that you don't see many guys pulling each other's hair, and that I think there were more appropriate and effective restraint and eviction methods. Shove her, pin her arms, zip-tie her, whatever. It's the hair pulling that's pissing me off. And I don't give a crap who she's protesting - either side, I'd have felt the same. I was just commenting on other's politicalizationation of the situation. Wait, was that a word? you've got to ask yourself one question: 'Do I feel loquacious?' -- well do you, punk?

Again, how do you know she ran? And who the hell is he anyway? Not secret service by the looks of him... I hope... This has turned into an interesting psych test. Give 30 people the same picture and ask them what they see. Interesting results being drawn on political and gender lines... you've got to ask yourself one question: 'Do I feel loquacious?' -- well do you, punk?

Maybe, maybe not. Fact - Grabbing her hair worked. Fact - She left unharmed. Conclusion - A loud-mouthed, disruptive liberal moron got what she deserved. FACT?? How on earth do you know any of those things for a fact? Do you need a dictionary? you've got to ask yourself one question: 'Do I feel loquacious?' -- well do you, punk?

Never ever? Not even when, you know Well, you know, in that case... I don't like it when I haven't asked for it, though. (and yes, yes, yes, fine, she knew the risks, went where she wasn't invited, but that just means she asked to be escorted out and told not to come back) Two firm hands on both of her scrawny little shoulders would have been enough. Period. (obviously the latter portion of my post was not directed at you, Kev) you've got to ask yourself one question: 'Do I feel loquacious?' -- well do you, punk?

Whatever dude. People - read: She was a protester, uninvited and disruptive. Check. She was asked to leave, and shown the way with hands on her back and arm, to make sure she didn't weasel her way back in. Check. She was probably still running her great big mouth on the way out. Check. What purpose was served by pulling her hair? How was that doing his job? WAS that even his job? I just think it was excessive and unnecessary. And I don't like hair pullers. you've got to ask yourself one question: 'Do I feel loquacious?' -- well do you, punk?

Bwahahaah!! Nah, Turtle is a sweetie-pie, and a very good singer! I like him bunches, no matter what his political views are. Actually, Mikey dear, you might watch for teeth-marks, calling me Becky-Boo. No one calls me Becky. EVER. Jes' kiddin' - I won't bite. I like you, too. I'm not defending her. She's a protester and must have expected physical resistance. You're absolutely right on that count. What I'm saying is that yanking her hair hard enough to pull her head back as she's being pushed out of the auditorium was a low, mean thing to do, just because he felt like expressing his rage towards someone with opposing beliefs who dared invade that space and because he felt justified. He's a bully. The girl next to her is being ushered out, with a hand at her back, and her scalp intact, the polite way. I'm just sayin'. you've got to ask yourself one question: 'Do I feel loquacious?' -- well do you, punk?

Dude, look at her face. Does that look gentle to you? I'll agree that until the full story is known, it's hard to tell who did what & why. But, she's being pushed and pulled by a much bigger person. She might have heckled, but does that mean this sort of physical contact is OK? He's already pushing her - presumably away, since they're both facing the same direction - what could have justified the additional hair pulling? you've got to ask yourself one question: 'Do I feel loquacious?' -- well do you, punk?

Dude, that is not cool Look at this jackass. I'd have punched him in the nose. Big bullying man tryin' to keep a sister down - grr. There's probably some controversial issue about him being a Bush supporter and her being a harmless little peaceful protester, but I'll let the rest of you take care of that, if you like. Just out of curiosity, not being litigious, but could she sue him? you've got to ask yourself one question: 'Do I feel loquacious?' -- well do you, punk?

So, not to be morbid, but this just occurred to me. What did suicide bombers do before bombs? Did they run into an enemy camp with a sword and just start slashing until they were taken out? Or is the suicide thing new? And I'm not just talking Middle East style suicide - how long has the kamikaze been around? Any world war-waging history buffs out there? To address the topic, Dave's right. The world does seem more evil right now, but atrocities like genocide and rape as a war tactic have been going on since the dawn of man. you've got to ask yourself one question: 'Do I feel loquacious?' -- well do you, punk?
