    I have a Nomad Jukebox 20Gb. I like it because it holds lots of MP3's, but it's not really portable. It's too heavy. Also, a hard drive based player is too fragile IMHO, and very prone to failure if dropped (we all know shit happens ). My NJB used to skip if I used it for jogging or just walking rapidly with it. I still have my NJB, but I just bought a Creative MuVo NX 256Mb direct from Creative. It should arrive this week. Yves.

    Well, "Matrix Reloaded" is a really good movie. Well done. I really liked the scene where Trinity was firing at Smith, in freefall, in slow motion. Yves.

    Yeah! Two air freshners should be patented. The first one being jet fuel scented, and the second one (for those who jump at a Cessna DZ) should be AV gas scented. Yves.

    Yea, but ZHills has an alligator free swoop pond.. Mike Nah! no problem. They're not that hungry ! The alligators at Lake Wales are fed every day. (at least one jumper lands off the DZ every day) Yves.

    The Ipod is a very nice MP3 player, as is the Nomad Zen NX. However, it's not recommended to engage in any physical activities with a hard drive based player. They're too fragile, and the music will skip if you jog with it. I have a Nomad Jukebox, and it skips if i'm walking rapidly or jogging. If you plan on doing any physical activites with your player, you would be better off with a flash memory based MP3 player. Just my .02 cents!

    Go with LCD! Stay away from plasma. LCD's the future. Plasma technology is extremely sensitive to static image display. Let's say you're displaying the same image, for about 1 hour, on a plasma screen (like a digital photo, or a paused image on a DVD, playstation, etc.) This may be enough time to permanently embed the image into the screen. Forever! Just like the phosphor in the video arcade picture tubes, that got burned by displaying the same image). Of course, this problem will not be covered under warranty............ And repairs will be at your expenses. The life expectancy of a plasma TV is very short (about 5 years at most) Yves.

    Take a look at some of the Creative Labs products. The make a few MP3 players that are so small, they could be misktaken for a key chain! yet they can play at least 4 hours of 128Kbps encoded MP3 songs. (Creative MuVo NX 256Mb). They can be bought for about the same price as what you've paid for your Sony MD player. And the MuVo won't puke on the MP3's you have stored on your computer. http://www.nomadworld.com/welcome.asp Yves.

    [rant] Take it back to the store where you bought it, and buy yourself a true MP3 player. Anti-piracy software like the one that's bundled with Sony products, is just a pain in the ass. Even legit MP3 music ( MP3's you bought for a $0.99 a song) can't be sent to a Sony MD player. Sony was the last portable CD player manufacturer, to implement CD-R, CD-RW, and MP3 compatibility on some of their portable CD players ( only a few models), Why? Just because they own Sony music. I've allways been a strong supporter of Sony products, especially the MiniDV cameras, and other video products...... but their portable audio devices.... they suck big time. [/rant] Yves.

    The CASA was there during the holidays last year, and we had a lot of fun jumping this plane. Lake Wales is a really cool place, with a huge landing area, and a huge packing hangar. I think exactly the same as Aviatrr. Why don't you go to both places? Sebastian and Lake Wales are not too far away from each other. I'm sure you'll have fun at both places. Yves.

    For me, it's Bertrand Cloutier. "Bert" is truly in love with skydiving, and he's also an outstanding base jumper. He teached me FJC, and also thought me most of what I know in the sport. "Bert" can be seen in action in the IMAX movie "Adrenaline Rush, The Science of Risk", where he was a participant in most of the base jumping scenes in the movie. A truly dedicated guy. He's my mentor.
