Thanks, Aggie Dave, for reminding folks it's NOT a 'failure', it's an opportunity to learn. Call it a repeat if you must, but not a 'failure'! What matters several hundred jumps out of AFF is what kind of skydiver you are...safe and happy and still jumping. Besides, all the jumps count in the logbook. :) ***************** Attitude is everything!

Yes, I did make that choice a couple of years ago. It was unpleasant, I was 'dissed' behind my back, but I have not regretted the decision I made in the interest of safety (and on the advice of the S&TA, DZO, and DZM) because I genuinely cared about this friend (who is no longer a friend). I'd like to encourage you to become a really fine belly flier before you go inverted or upright on a regular basis! Also, get some coaching from experienced free/sit fliers. It will take awhile to learn and you'll have to commit to many consecutive jumps to really do it. Lastly, but maybe the most important issue: IS YOUR RIG FREEFLY FRIENDLY? Ask a rigger. You can get into very serious trouble at the higher speeds if your rig is not tight. Purple Skies, D. ***************** Attitude is everything!

I earned my PP SEL a lonnnnnnnnnnng time ago in another life (like way back in the early 70's), dabbled in aerobatics, too. Loved it. Not current flying, but am now a skydiving coach and that is 'more fun than a human being ought to be allowed to have'!!! I've got the best of both worlds: ride up in a small (relatively speaking) plane and then JUMP out of it! YEEHAW! I LOVE THIS SPORT! ***************** Attitude is everything!

Oh Remster, there's nothing gross about it. I mean it's pure protein after all. Great for body massages...of course I don't know that from personal experience or anything. Heh.
