Someone with a DZ.COM account tried to get me fired today
HRHSkyPrincess replied to CanuckInUSA's topic in The Bonfire
Remember: Karma begets karma. I wouldn't want to be within 10 counties of the Creepshow who did this to you! Now, I'm wondering if any of us are 'safe' on dz.com.... ***************** Attitude is everything! -
That's what we need from USPA, a list (Updated on USPA's website) of the names and contact numbers for the TSA regional supervisors! We could print the list before traveling and have one more avenue that will allow us to travel, safely, with our rigs! I agree, we need to 'educate' the TSA agents on skydiving equipment. They are only as good as the information/training they have been given. At this point, it's not impressive. :) ***************** Attitude is everything!

Ya, it does suck. Been there, done that, putting on my smiley face now. No sense in going around wearing the 'poor pitiful me' mask...so many of us have had heartaches...we're in good company! Well said, Marine. Very well said... My dad was 'hero'. He was a Pearl Harbor veteran and rarely spoke of it. After he died I wrote to the Naval Personnel Records and obtained his military record. They also sent me the medals, stars, etc. he had received. It was a stunning surprise. So, you're right, the real heroes never talk about it or think they were. They just did what was necessary. ***************** Attitude is everything!

This SUNDAY! BASE and Skydiving on Discovery!
HRHSkyPrincess replied to AggieDave's topic in The Bonfire
Ya, I saw it, too! Made my body go into 'jump run' mode...however the ski/jump was pretty wacko! CRIKEY! ***************** Attitude is everything! -
Give yourself at least a 1,000 to 1,500' feet to dismount, get stable, and pull. While you're doing that, the 'horse' can go into a track and make sure you both have adequate separation. Be very sure you're both on the same page with respect to break-off altitude and who's tracking where! Have fun, be safe. ***************** Attitude is everything!

I've ridden a few down...one was especially memorable because he was such a big guy and I am such a small woman that sitting on him (no stupid jokes here), in his burble, I felt like we weren't going very fast at all. He was in a delta track. His audible displayed 206mph! Yeehaw!! Uh, if you try this at home, make sure your rig is very snug, no loose tabs, risers, etc. Otherwise, you'll be snatched from the back of your bronc harder than you ever imagined. ***************** Attitude is everything!

I'll be in the Blue Ridge Mountains in the company of a very fine man. Oh, yeah, he's a skydiver, too. Duh. ***************** Attitude is everything!

Ya, I think I misread it the first time through myself! D'oh! ***************** Attitude is everything!

Don't know if you can locate this red wine, it's from an Oregon (USA) vintner: Rex Hill Pinot Noir Also, I recommend Mouton Cadet white bourdeaux from P. Rothschild family. What kind of Frenchie are you if you don't know wine? Crikey!! ***************** Attitude is everything!

Now you're talking! Good suggestion. :) ***************** Attitude is everything!

Why is she getting him 'something small'? Is he small? You know size doesn't matter, it ain't the meat, it's the motion. Ooops, getting off on a tangent here...it's the Wonder Gel working wonders again.... Just ignore me and I'll go away. ***************** Attitude is everything!

You're right, Benny, and trick and a test... ***************** Attitude is everything!

Listen Up, Mister Man, Get her a card, hang a banner over the bed, and a non-traditional (no roses) bouquet. It's Valentine's Day for crikey's sake! It's for lovers...you are lovers, right? Regardless of the press, do not let the day go unrecognized. Do not. Kiss kiss, D. ***************** Attitude is everything!

Guys, it's called Wonder Gel...heh heh heh... ***************** Attitude is everything!

How did you come up with the cashola?
HRHSkyPrincess replied to Spatula's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Refinanced my house, more than once...bwahahahaaaaaaaaa! And told my family that the dz issues very nice gift certificates for birthdays, Xmas, etc. And of course, CHARGE! It's all about skydiving. Heh... ***************** Attitude is everything! -
Get a lot of qualified advice, more 'regular' jumps, more qualified advice, and then DO IT. Some of us want to, others don't. Sometimes you feel like a nut, sometimes you don't. I'd like to make a BASE jump eventually, with expert coaching and perfect gear. Yeehaw! ***************** Attitude is everything!

Skydiving is a very life affirming event. You're on the right path...and if I hear of you beating anyone (except yourself, heh) I'll send Guido to 'reprogram' your thinking! Purple Skies, D. :) ***************** Attitude is everything!

Sabres have opening problems. It's no secret
HRHSkyPrincess replied to TomSpoon's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
I have had two Sabres. Great openings with both (still jumping #2)! I give my packers a lot of credit for always taking the time to be sure every detail is addressed: rolling the nose, even line stows, etc. Basic packing skills, but critical, it seems, for nice Sabre openings. In fact, #1 had such a snivel/slow opening I had to allow for extra altitude! Would I buy another one? You bet. :) ***************** Attitude is everything! -
Time to relocate, Marine....wishful thinking on my part...maybe someday. Sorry you were so bummed out when you posted this. Kisses to make it all better, D. ***************** Attitude is everything!

Beethoven's Ode to Joy chorus probably describes the first tandem feeling although I brought an Enya cd to be dubbed in...it turned out pretty cool. The video guy (Bryan) rolled his eyes like 'oh, no, not one of those types', but he created a fantastic video for me anyway! (Kisses, Mr. M). ***************** Attitude is everything!
