Thanks for all the replies. I've tried the suggestions but the problems continue. My computer crapped out Saturday and this first time I've been able to log on. I'm going to give my comp to a buddy who owns a computer repair shop and let him get after it. Looks like a reinstall will be the way to go. Thanks again for the help.

Alright computer guru's, I'm having some serious problems and I don't know what else to do to fix it. Here's what's going on. -Everytime IE is opened, a new homepage comes up. -Media Player won't work at all. When it is clicked, nothing happens. -In the Add/Remove programs, there are a whole host of new programs that I've never seen before. I've deleted them, but they keep on coming back. -Hitting Cntl/Alt/Del brings up many things I've never heard of before. -The internet page I'm on randomly changes to some other site. -A page pops up briefly and before it disappears, I see something about how it is installing something. Norton removed a couple of viruses and Ad-Aware got a number of files, but I just can't clear this problem. I'm about ready to just have the drive wiped clean, but I'd really like to avoid that if I can. Can anyone please give me some idea how to fix this?

My situation is a bit different from yours but I'll get my aerospace engineering degree on May 14, and I'll start working on a mechanical engineering degree in January. Knowledge gained is never wasted. Return to school if you feel the need to.

Yea, when I walk out to my blue truck, and it is yellow with pollen, I know it's getting bad. The only thing that works for me is Zyrtec. So when I get a bottle from the doc, I take as few as I can, and save the rest. I know I'll need it.

Lou, quick question on the pics you linked to. On the pic titled "Finished Product", is that the bridle between the BOC and the right flap or a covering for the bridle? Otherwise, the 2K3 is a sharp rig. Much improved over what I jump.

I've got a Racer built in 1989, so it's a bit old. So the following is what I've found on my older Racer. Pros: Very comfortable. Excellent reserve pin protection. Cons: Can't freefly it. Your just asking for problems. I have been told I can make it FF safe, but I'm not going to risk it. Pin protection isn't as good as other rigs. Lots of exposed bridle. Velcro riser covers work, but keep the velco in really good condition. Stowing the risers takes awhile due to all the velcro along the sides of the reserve tray.

Did that once. Aggiedave and I jumped with a pretty good hole below us. By they time we pulled clouds had completely covered the ground. We both had to fly through a pretty thick cloud with absolutely no visibility. Luckily, it wasn't too thick, but yes, scary. Definitely don't want to repeat anything like that.

Thats a damn tough call. Either Farley or Farrell. But you know who I always hope to see? There is a character that comes out to mess up the host's monologue. He has a mustache and a spanish accent and has a set of bongos or something. His catch line after insulting someone is "I'm just kidding", but he says it in a funny way. Last time I saw it was when John McCain was hosting and he even got McCain to do the "I'm just kidding" bit. Hilarious stuff. Anybody know who I'm talking about?

The scramjet is an awesome idea. I'm still waiting for the magnetic drive or the gravity drive. Maybe even the antimatter drive. Yea, I know, I'll be around 140 years old when they come into use.

Wow, I'm a bit too much of a pus to hit triple digits in my truck. Hell, I don't know if it would do it anyway. Fastest I've had it was about 90 mph(~150kph).

One more Aggie responding. I'm a senior Aerospace Engineering major graduating in May '04. I love just about damn near anything that flies, so Aero seemed like a perfect match. I was right. Probably pick up a Mechanical Engineering degree or a masters in Aero in the near future.

I'd quickly, instead of over a few years, scratch through the items on my "To Buy" list that I've been making. See, as many know, being in college also means being a broke ass kid. So I've got a pretty good list going. Some include: Brand Spanking new Toyota Tacoma truck. 4 wheel drive of course, not because I need it, but shit, why not? Brand Spanking new Vector 3. Hell, all brand new gear for that matter; main, reserve, AAD, jumpsuit, you get the idea. Brand Spanking new computer. I'll have this one made for me, no more of that buy it from Best Buy crap. Smaller things like one of those magical cordless laser mouse thingies. You know, a mouse with that red laser instead of the wheel? Cool Chit. My very own DVD player. One of those god awfully huge ~52 inch flatscreen HD TV's. Maybe a brand new guitar, but I'm undecided now. Oh yea, other less important things, like paying off student loans. That's but a few items from my "List" Probably do something smart, like invest the rest, save it or some such.
