You're very welcome

First rule in engineering school - find the simplest solution. you have two unknowns - t and s, but you're only interested in s. Set up 2 equations, and solve for what you want.

The speed of sound in a perfect gas depends only on the temperature of the gas. It does not depend on density or humidity.

You know, that reminds me a few years ago when you were a senior, wearing the boots, and we had to take a pic for the skydive club in Zachary. All clean cut and everything. Looks good though...

Yikes!! Looks like top 99??

Although my days at Texas A&M have come to an end and I've never seen a Bonfire, I still remember the same.
-
He said they didn't know this? I remember about a month ago them making a joke about how they outta learn some spanish for the new format. I thought they were just kidding around so I didn't think anything of it. But anyway, I was fairly bummed when I went to lunch and heard this latino "stuff". During my morning drive to work it was W&J, and lunch, mariachi. Truly a shitty situation for Houston radio. I can't believe they canned Rock 101. I've been listening to it since high school. Just plain sucks. Satellite radio is looking a little more attractive now.

That was an outstanding game. That's what baseball is all about. Let's kick ass in st. louis and get to the Series!!
-
Feel bad for all you St. Louis fans. GO ASTROS!!!!!!! You've got a good chance of stealing one of the first two, but after that, well, I'm glad I'm a 'stros fan!!

Yea, "Wash day tomorrow. Nothing clean!" Box of cookies for the title of the movie. It's an easy one....

Similar story here too. It was last semester at Texas A&M. Early sunday morning I was doing laundry. I was heading back to my dorm room and I'm walking up the stairs to the second floor. I'm about half way up the stairs and I look up, and see a nekid dude walking by the doorway. I freeze and wonder WTF I just saw. Then I wonder if I just imagined it or something. Of course then I question why the hell I'd imagine seeing a nekid man in the first place. So I walk up the rest of the stairs and lean through the doorway, and sure enough, there's a nekid dude walking down the hallway. He must have been so wasted he didn't know what he was doing. So I walk through the door and down the hall to get to my room. Some other dude is walking down the hall going the other direction and passes mr. nekid. We both share that WTF was that? look. I quickly get in my room and try to sleep. Yes, my day was ruined as well. Must be something with doing laundry.

Yep, he does have the design. I'm sure his plan was to go orbital the whole time. I'd do the same thing. However, taking an orbital spacecraft design from an AutoCad drawing to a prototype ready to launch - I'd be impressed to see it orbiting in 2 years. I'm not arguing with ya, hell I'd love to see it in 2 years

I agree with Wendy on this one. Don’t count NASA out just yet. I must say my feelings toward the future of space travel have changed a bit with the events of the last week, but there is a HUGE difference between a quick suborbital flight and achieving earth orbit. Before the public starts writing NASA off, lets see what these companies pull off in the way of orbital flight. They’ve got a long way to go to catch up to what NASA has achieved in the last 40+ years. But they certainly have what it takes to move on to the next step. I must admit, watching SS1 fly and the “Black Sky” program last night, this next step in spaceflight is exciting. I can’t wait to see what Rutan has planned next. Lynn (also a NASA contractor)

Yea, good game. Ags look like they may be coming back to raise some hell in the Big 12. Should be a fun season. Kinda scary at the end, but they pulled it out. Gig 'Em!!

Anyone wanna solve an Implicit Differentiation problem?
aero04 replied to SkydiveNFlorida's topic in The Bonfire
Well here's my solution.... e^(xy)+y=x-1 -----original problem ye^(xy)+xe^(xy)y'+y'=1-0 ----Implicit Diff of all terms y'(xe^(xy)+1)=1-ye^(xy) -----factor out the y' y'=(1-ye^(xy))/(xe^(xy)+1) ----solve for y' edited to try to make it a bit more clear. -
Well son of a bitch. I finally got caught reposting. Oh well. Fun game.
-
Have fun! Thought this would be quite appropriate here. Use your mouse to keep him walking straight...... 63 meters for me.

It's funny. One of the big "rules" is no drinking and skydiving. But it is perfectly fine to get wasted Saturday night and jump sunday morning. Seems to me that rule should be extended to include people who jump after getting hammered the night before.

Almost Quit Jumping -- Need Motivation!
aero04 replied to jumpgod's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
As others have said, if you don't have that same urge to jump that you used to, then take a break. Stay away for however long it takes. No one else can motivate you to stick with it. When you start to think about skydiving the way you did when you had 10 jumps, then go back to the dz. If the motivation is gone, take a break and see what happens. The sky won't disappear; it will be there if you decide to return. -
Ugh. I hate rounding. I had a class where the prof always rounded numbers. The answer was 147.2 and he'd say it was 150. Drove me insane. I guess that's one of the many lessons I learned from engineering.
-
I just can't believe you forgot to put me on that list. Especially with this shindig just a few miles away from me.

Searching on the internet for an alarm clock??? Just go to Walmart and get a cheapo. I had a cheapo I bought before college and I still use it.
-
Well Cool!!! Another Aggie Jumper. Welcome to the sky. I haven't been to Aggieland in about a month after graduating from A&M, but keep it up and you too can be on my SCR attempts.... (Ask Aggiedave about that one)

Wow that's impressive. My bonehead fell about 3 feet and got a pretty good crack on the top.

I'm certainly no computer tech, but I had mega problems last week. I had the hard drive wiped and reloaded. It's like I have a new computer now. But I still have a lame ass OS. Anyway, the guy I brought my comp to installed System Suite 5. It has antivirus software, firewall, everything you'd need, or so he tells me. He says it'll keep your system clean and he's had no problems with it. I've only been using it for 2 days so I can't comment on it yet.
