What was the most memorable sex you have had at the DZ???????????
Cajones replied to rhino's topic in The Bonfire
Stacy has boobs??? How come no one told me... Oh, wait!... I forgot about the video. Brillo - you naughty girl. At least you are using them for a good cause. - Cajones The laws of physics are strictly enforced. -
Sorry to hear the news this way, Brother. Lew and I send our condolences. Blue Skies to you and your Father. - Cajones The laws of physics are strictly enforced.

I found a spitball in my five roses flour today, how can I do!

I've found the generic stuff to work just dandy. Much cheaper than the brand name, stuff, and generally more fragrant. - Cajones The laws of physics are strictly enforced. -
There are power supplies that are fanless, also. For example. If you are interested in making your PC super quiet, there are [url"http://www.silentpcreview.com/"]websites[/url] devoted to making stealth PC's. Believe it, or not, PC noise is such an issue that at least one Scandinavian county has enacted laws to limit dB's in the workplace from them. - Cajones The laws of physics are strictly enforced.

The secret, my dear Bytch, is to use baby powder, instead of flour. Much more effective, and makes Z-P nice and slick for the repack. - Cajones The laws of physics are strictly enforced. -

Okay - It's a shitty day, so here's a shitty poll. I didn't post one last week, so this week it's a few days early. Feel free to share the exceptions to your Standard Operating Procedures, and any other shitty anecdotes you might be toting in your closet. - Cajones The laws of physics are strictly enforced.

As an additional few notes... The $15 entry fee was not my idea, and I'm sure Grant will accept submissions from employees of Martini Shot Films, and the WFFC - on an exhibition only basis. He'll look at it - if it's good, show it at the festival on Thursday night, but - no prizes. Notice there was no exclusion for nudity. A "XXX" skydive flick might be a real crowd pleaser. You just have to figure out how to make one creatively, flexing your technical muscle, and lay (nice pun, eh) a nice audio track. Oh, and have rights to the contents. It should be much fun. - Cajones The laws of physics are strictly enforced.

If you cross your arms and stick your legs out, isn't this going to put you head-low? I have a strong preference for being a bit head high with a camera on my head. It reduces the impact on my neck. - Cajones The laws of physics are strictly enforced.

Although she's a very experienced jumper, and a very heads-up person no matter what she does - I must admit I do get a little protective of her. Seeing video of another jumper opening way too close to her under canopy makes me want to punch his lights out. She's got the skilz to fly and jump with anyone, and knows who the "zoomy" types are - and she avoids them very well. It's the "new situations" and the new faces she jumps with that make me ask her if she's okay. In my defense, I tend to scrutinize everyone in these situations, I think I'd notice her being in these situations more, simply because I pay more attention to her. We pack together (when we can - sometimes she packs for me when I'm busy/working!), talk and spend time together more than the other jumpers. A more accurate scenario is that I worry about her when she's not jumping. She's a jump-aholic. She was a skydiver when I met her (with a BASE jumper trapped inside waiting to get out), and that's probably a factor in why we are so good together. There's few things in life better than jumping with her. Seeing her jumping is actually a turn-on (I might be giving TMI, here). When she isn't anxious to get her knees-in-the-breeze - that's when I have to really worry about her. - Cajones The laws of physics are strictly enforced.

The main reason that I'd choose the 5000 over the 5700 is the 5700 only goes to a 35mm equivalent. The 5000 goes a bit wider to a 28mm equivalent. I haven't tested the 5700 for compatibility with the Harbortronics DigiSnap, either, so I can't say how well they go together, yet. - Cajones The laws of physics are strictly enforced.

The full-res version will be on the Eloy Boogie Video. The version hosted here, on dz.com is a rather low-res encode, to conserve bandwidth. I can encode much larger/higher res, if you really have a place to host it. I'd still like to put some sort of poem or tribute in captioned form across the bottom. Please submit your ideas on this thread, for feedback. I would also like to get suggstions/feedback from Holly's family. There are also pictures that are only slightly different from others. If anyone has any pictures that weren't included, there's room for much more. The song artist has indicated he can make the track as long as we need - to accomodate as many pictures as we'd want. - Cajones The laws of physics are strictly enforced.

Hola Pablito! If you're bored and need something to do, make a kewl new webpage showcasing your services as a man-whore. Make sure you set up some secure ordering for the ladies so they can schedule some one-on-one time with you. XOXO - Cajones The laws of physics are strictly enforced.

I'd like to see some of those! I haven't invested in the adapter, but I've seen some of the fish-eye photos. Great effect, and humongous FOV. 200 degrees... You can almost see yourself in the frame... - Cajones The laws of physics are strictly enforced.

Okay - an update on the video. I know it's late. I had to switch over to some projects for food. I finished two good ones, and I'm back to the Eloy project. Many, many hours of work behind me, and less and less in front of me... At least I can eat while I finish it up. Not sure exactly how long 'til I polish the final cut. I am actually going back through some segments to focus on skydives. I have been given some insight that will have long-term impact. Skydivers want to see skydives. Forget the kewl-and-groovy effects. Those are neat to wuffos, but we want to see skydivers making skydives. I'd like to get some feedback on the web version of Holly's Memorial segment. The web version is very, very simple. It's basically a slide-show with all of the pictures I could put together of her (special thanks to Deuce for the CD). I tried a few combinations with the very small amount of video I have of her, but the photo/video combination just didn't work well. I did get a response from her favorite techno artist, politely declining use of his music for her Memorium. The music in the clip is from an artist TechnoLoOp. More of his music is used throughout the video. My vision of the clip includes captioning of something appropriate for Holly. Kevin had suggested her short diary quote, and it is very nice, but rather short. If someone with good writing talent would like to put together a poem that fits with the video, I'll put it on another thread for feedback and send it by e-mail to her family for their approval. A memorial tribute is new ground for me. New ground I hope we will not have to tread, again, for a long, long time. The laws of physics are strictly enforced.

They simultaneously pied each other. When I was new to sport jumping, pieing had a few rules. You were pied for being cleared to self-jumpmaster (graduating from student status), for 100 jumps, 500, 1000, and each 1000 after that. The "each 1000" was pretty rare. To pie someone, you had to have reached the pieable milestone, yourself. If you didn't have 500 jumps, you couldn't pie someone else for reaching this milestone, etc. The rule about reaching the milestone yourself was only waiverable to include a direct family member or if you had pissed off the manifest bitch. If no one at your DZ had more jumps than you - you were basically immune to being pied. Of course, if some higher-time jumper came for a visit, you walked around nervously looking over your shoulder all day... The laws of physics are strictly enforced.

The Harbortronics remote control is definitely the way to go. The control can be programmed to put the camera in a specific mode, turn off the LCD (to save batteries), set the focal length, etc. They also allow the easy connection of a tongue switch and LCD for feedback. You likely will be happy with the native Nikon lens. It is a 28mm equivalent, with no wide adapter. The wide adapters/fish-eye make a super-wide FOV. The laws of physics are strictly enforced.

The Coolpix 5000 is definitely tried and proven for skydiving. Remote control, including shutter release and shutter release is available from the DigiSnap line of remote controllers from Harbortronics. Frame rate is not nearly that of the 10D, but still greater than 1/second. The intelligent buffer of the 990 and higher make a huge difference. I must say, however, I think the 10D is a better investment. Years ago, when I first started shooting digital the price gap between the CoolPix line and cameras like the D30 was much bigger than the gap we now see with the 10D. The price of the Coolpix 5000 (which does not need a wide adapter), plus the added cost of a DigiSnap 2200 or 2500 is a good bit less than a 10D plus a good lens. The difference in versatility and usability would make me consider the 10D, very seriously. For now, though, my CoolPix5000 is helping pay the bills. - Cajones The laws of physics are strictly enforced.

question about deployment systems on student rigs?
Cajones replied to outofit's topic in Safety and Training
My opinion: BOC is the way to go. I prefer to teach people skills/habits that will be with them for their entire career. Not to say BOC is the be-all, end-all, who knows what will develop in skydiving... Just try to keep up. Teaching skydiving is a dynamic science/art. - Cajones The laws of physics are strictly enforced. -
It was probably posted before thinking through. Don't let it keep you down. Have fun, be safe, and remind him - when you see him - we all have that little nerve that plays a sour note. Take care of each other and it'll never be strummed. - Cajones The laws of physics are strictly enforced.

Oh thank goodness... I wasn't going to open this thread but it kept popping up to the top. I ws afraid of a thread titled "picture" and "come on guys." I thought it was like a boobie thread for the guys who are into guys... I'm not sure what that makes but - curiosity got the best of me. The laws of physics are strictly enforced.

We have passed Team #1, and aiming higher. 117 team members on the roster, including a few whuffos, and a nice showing by BadDog_Skydiving_Gear. If you're not already on the team - come join us in helping find the cure for degenerative diseases. I know there's a whole bunch of untapped computer power out there in our little community.
