With "Swan Lake" playing in the background... If that is your worst landing, ever, you'll be just fine. Looked like it hurt your pride more than anything. The laws of physics are strictly enforced.

As I understand it from Cecil Terry (the mechanic for the 727, and an ocassional skydiver), the aircraft owner considered bringing the aircraft in - uninsured - and fly jumpers, anyhow. The insurance company supposedly shot that down, saying they'd cancel all policies altogether if they even flew the 727 into the event. I heard excuses about 9-11 and other sorts of nonsense, but there are plenty of aircraft flying jumpers without the liability insurance these people were looking for - it's just not available. From what Don said at the post-Convention meetings, at any price. He was holding out hope some of the underwriters fro South America would be able to help us out, but I don't know how that has panned out, as yet. Don wants a 727 on the ramp as much, or more, than any of us. If anyone can get one there - he can. The laws of physics are strictly enforced.

Best site for skydiving clips!!!

Wow, only one day on dz.com, and already pulling the old post-whore trick of replying to your own post. You'll be a Pooh-Bah in no time at this rate. The laws of physics are strictly enforced. -

I can understand you are strapped for money. Student jumps are expensive. I've seen little time in a wind tunnel fix this sort of problem very fast. It may look a little expensive for tunnel time (there are threads that talk about the costs of tunnel time - do a search), but it may save you money in the long run. With all these lovely Bumpy Brothers on dz.com, I'd expect every guy around here to become a member of the family by the end of the Convention... The laws of physics are strictly enforced.

As I understand it, RIAA and ASCAP fees are paid on a per-use or per-application basis. Under this theme, I'd say "No." Part of the festival includes streaming some, possibly all, of the entries. Securing rights through ASCAP or RIAA for a website that may get 2 MILLION hits in a ten-day period would be prohibatively expensive. The film and broadcast industry people we have lined up to review the entries and interview the producers have been very specific about a 10-minute time limit, and full rights to the contents. This does not mean you must "fully own" the music. Anyone who needs a simple release form that can be signed by the artist - PM me. Sorry, Phree - as the newest member of the webteam - you're not eligible to submit film for the contest. If you want to submit an entry, it would be accepted, and I'd make sure it gets reviewed by the right people. You'd just be ineligible for any prizes. The laws of physics are strictly enforced.

The console version is definitely more efficient than the graphical client. The real advantage of the graphical client is when other people see it and ask what it is. You might be suprised how many people will join the cause after seeing it. The console version cannot be installed as a service under Win95/98/Me. To run the console version, you have to open a DOS window and run it from there. If you are annoyed by the little window or don't want it to appear on the task bar, I can write a small executable to hide it when it runs. It won't allow you to see the program running (you can still look at the unitinfo text file to see progress), nor to shut it down gracefully, but it's just another thing to click on when shutting down/rebooting. Hmm... Where do you position the landing gear? I wouldn't want to be dragging anthing on the roll-out. Especially anything made of flesh - that might be attached near my hips - and might protrude from the excitement had by this experience. The laws of physics are strictly enforced.
