I went to a chiropractor 2-3 times after I hurt my back pulling a boat onto a dock and felt a lot better immediately. That said, there are chiropractors who got all of their degrees from the same school in about 5 years, including college. There are some that will charge more than $500 for the first visit and about $250 thereafter. $40 for an ice pack; others it's free. There are a wide variety of them out there. Some make more than $1M/year; others make about $100k. Some think it can cure asthma and cancer. (don't laugh) I'd probably see a medical doctor first (orthopedist)and see what he says. Try physical therapy to strengthen the area. Assuming the doctor says there's no major problem and a chiro's okay, try it.
