  1. You think us west coasters give a shit what you east coasters want? Dude what is with your avatar ?? Can we say step backwards? That looks like the pic I snapped of her "guarding" the tent at Rantoul. If you get really close, you can see the drool oozing from the corner of her mouth. It's your life, live it! 2. Yeah baby. Raya de luz and Corcho Rodriguez...we'll have to make some new brothers this weekend!! And I'm not ashamed to say, a milestone or 2 for myself too.
  3. Well, that sounds good, until you figure that I'm in Wisconsin, and might be able to make a Chicago area DZ, if I'm lucky. On that note, I leave tonight for Indiana again, and should be at SDC before noon Saturday. It's your life, live it! Karma RB#684 "Corcho", ASK#60, Muff#3520, NCB#398, NHDZ#4, C-33989, DG#1

  6. Oh, now, don't get me wrong here. I never intentionally harm cats, I just don't really like them. Try and tell that to them though. I'm a freakin cat magnet. I inherited a beautiful female black Persian in 1991 the hard way. My room mate had cats. Lots of cats. All were neutered males. Her former room mate had this Persian. This cat was the bitch from hell. She hated everybody, even her owner. She ran, she hid, and she attacked everyone that attempted to even get close to her. Well, the first night I was there we were sitting in the living room watching TV. This cat climbs up on my lap, curls up, and falls asleep purring. My room mate told me I just got myself a cat. That's when she told me about her. I couldn't believe it, and neither could my room mate. I kept that kitty until age got the better of her. That's the only cat I ever liked, and that's probably only because she hated everyone else. It's your life, live it! Karma RB#684 "Corcho", ASK#60, Muff#3520, NCB#398, NHDZ#4, C-33989, DG#1
  7. I met Claude on my one and only trip to Perris, over the course of a weekend. You people are right, the man left an impresion. Of the people I met while I was there, he's the one that stands out in my memory like a photograph. Blue Skies, Claude. It's your life, live it! 10. Maybe they should blur out the faces. Don't want to be recognized and possibly get a tandem rating pulled, or do they? It's your life, live it! Karma RB#684 "Corcho", ASK#60, Muff#3520, NCB#398, NHDZ#4, C-33989, DG#1

  18. Jan, I will be sending in my proxy, but I'm debating if I should send in the one in the mag, or a more personal one. Here is my dilema: I agree totally with the moving of the elections earlier, and the lengthening of the terms to 3 years. The last one though, I have given a lot of thought to. I understand the drive to get rid of the National Director nominating committee, and fully support it. The petition requirement though, well, I'm thinking that should stay. I know the RD's have a lower turnover and that it is probably directly related to the lack of people willing o do the footwork for valid signatures on a petition. Mike T is a good example. If a person needs, say, 400 signatures, what's stopping he/she from trying to obtain 800? Lazyness I say. "I met the requirements, now I can go back to my home dz." I, as a member of the North Central region, have not been overly happy with my director, but what can be done when nobody steps up to the plate? Well, I was thinking I was going to step up to the plate. I'm planning on visiting alot of the DZ's up here, and get the feel for the people. I don't have a dz that I call home, since to me, they are all "home". I'm sure with my low time (5 years) and low jump numbers (I'm hoping for the "D" before September) that I will not be taken too seriously at first, but when I'm back trying every 3 years.... Representing a region means knowing that region, not a majority of voters from one or 2 big dropzones. Sure, those DZ's get the votes, but it takes more than them to get the petition. I say yes to everthing, but leave the petition alone. It's your life, live it! Karma RB#684 "Corcho", ASK#60, Muff#3520, NCB#398, NHDZ#4, C-33989, DG#1
  19. And then you get those that had 2 digit jump numbers, and were honest about it. Still included, but not expected to be able to perform up to others standards. 21. I had a night like that. A slightly senior to me jumper was complaining about the slammers he got on his Sabre 210. I mentioned I had never been slammed on one of my own Sabre packjobs, and said I could give him a nice, soft opening too. We were both quite drunk at the time. He asked me to pack it for him. Well, we were both drinking in the hanger, by ourselves since everyone had already passed out and/or gone home. I said "shhlurr, wfat ta fluk". I ran his lines out, cocked his pilot chute, unstowed his slider and set his brakes. In the time it took me to do this, I glanced over to see him passed out on the floor of the Porter (the same night he did his first night jump, too bad the plane never left the hanger ). I seriously thought about doing the same at that moment, in the 205. Well, I had told him I would pack it for him, so I did. Our first jump of the day (noonish) was uneventful. After we landed, he came up and said "Man, that was the sweetest, softest opening I have ever had! How did you pack it?" I felt really bad telling him I had no idea. I barely remembered telling him I'd pack it, and didn't remember at all (at that time) actually packing it! It's your life, live it! 22. I know the question, and have a pretty good guess for the answer. I'm getting the same error on the web site though. It's your life, live it! Karma RB#684 "Corcho", ASK#60, Muff#3520, NCB#398, NHDZ#4, C-33989, DG#1
  23. I wish I could say the same thing. Every female skydiver I have ever met rocks out to great awsomeness, except for one. That one I wouldn't wipe my ass with. No, I never dated her, slept with her, was turned down by her, nada, nothing. She's just one of those people that rub you the wrong way, realizes she does it, then does it more. Not an overly happy person, not by a long shot, and I'm not the only person to feel this way about her. It's your life, live it!
