As of yesterday morning, I've been 4 months without a smoke. I have not wanted a smoke in the last 4 months like I wanted one the last 2 days. I will not give in, I did not give in! The cravings are subsiding now, thank God. The first 24-48 hours flushes your system of the majority of the chemicals in the smoke. The next few weeks is breaking the habit of having your hand go to your mouth every hour. Break THAT habit, and smoking is kicked, no problem. In other words, a few weeks in a hall, and some supervised probabtion. Essentially, not much action taken. What does the child learn after nearly a decade of playing with fire? He/she can play all he/she wants, without fear of major repercussions. Fast forward to the fall of 2003, Southern California. How many blackened acres will it take? Get my drift?
