Only 3 loads went up today, the first clear day in weeks. 1 hop-n-pop and 2 to altitude. I wasn't going to remove my rig from my suit for 3,500 feet, so I got on the last 2 only. 0 beer I owe. (1) Patman says I owe for jumping my Birdman at Omro. I disagree, since there has been BirdMan jumps there, and it wasn't my first. I give in though, and I'll just bring a case with next time I'm there to appease the beer gods. All in all, a good weekend. Who's next? It's your life, live it! Woo Hoo! Time to toot my own horn too (Hi Michele!). Today, this morning at 6:30 to be exact, I hit 5 months without smoking. Those 5 months of not paying for cigarettes paid for my Bird Man suit (used), my Hawkeye TM, and my Neptune (both new). I'm calling it even for money spent on gear vs. money not spent on smokes as of today. Damn, does that feel good!!!!

Thanks for adding that Bill, I finally went to bed last night. Additionally, throwing non-uniformly will start the spin too. Allowing one wing to catch more air than the other while throwing can start you spinning before the canopy even leaves the bag. Did it once, and I'm much more carefull now. It's your life, live it! I used to never wear a helmet. Then I started jumping a camera. If I was filming, I was wearing. No film, no helmet. Well, it ended up that pretty much every jump I wore a camera, thus a helmet. Fast forward to now. I got bit by the Bird Man Bug. I realized to possibility of spinning malfunctions are greatly increased while jumping a Bird Man Suit. This, combined with a System 3 helmet set up for both video and stills (snagadelic) was just not a good choice. I retired the System 3. Pulled the cameras off it, and now it gathers dust. I did buy a Hawkeye TM to replace it though. The cameras are not mounted. This is a new helmet, as well as a new discipline for me. I wear the helmet on every jump, for the purpose of getting used to it being there (Not yet used to a very tight chin cup). Eventually, I'll add the video back onto it. Then, after a good amount of jumps like that, I'll add the stills too. Now, after all that, if I plan on NOT shooting video, will I wear a helmet? Nope. It's your life, live it! Considering the amount of mail that has been able to make it past the spam filters, it would be nice to have an "empty" button or link for the trash folder. I already have a Linksys Etherfast router, which works great. Here, right now, there are only 2 computers hooked up. the new house, well, I have my computer, my laptop for the road, my wife's computer, my wife's laptop (she uses it in the kitchen, bedroom, and on the couch, so i hardwired the whole friggin house, even the bathrooms), and each kid also has their own computer (4 kids). Theoretically, I could see 8 seperate connections to the proxy at any given time. I want to set up a proxy server. I also want to limit access to cetrain websites to certain users (porn to pre-teens, yahoo adult chat to teens, you get the picture). It's your life, live it! So, basically, what you are saying is Windows 2005 should be ready for release sometime around 2008? I still can't stand XP, so I'll stick with 2000 for awhile longer. I'm just begining to toy with '03, and I've got Linux, but I've got a bad disk or hardware compatibility problems with that one. Linux will be on the system I'm builing now though. Here's a question for ya: I'm looking to set up an internet proxy server in my new house. That would basically be it's only task. Know of any freeware - cheapware stuff out there for that purpose?
