After a little digging, even sadder news: http://www.dwd.state.wi.us/dwd/dwdhistory/wcc/ Not only was the camp I went to shut down, so were the rest. These are sad times. Very sad. It's your life, live it! Karma RB#684 "Corcho", ASK#60, Muff#3520, NCB#398, NHDZ#4, C-33989, DG#1 -
Well, duh, that's because the pilot chute that's in that pouch is bigger than the main canopy! It's all good though, it's a collapsable pilot chute. Nobody jumps a round anymore. It's your life, live it! Karma RB#684 "Corcho", ASK#60, Muff#3520, NCB#398, NHDZ#4, C-33989, DG#1

Holding a chainsaw above your head for 2 hours SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!
RevJim replied to Viking's topic in The Bonfire
Yep. http://www.discoverycenter.net/facilities.htm This makes me so sad. I spent 5 weeks there, the summer I was 15, working for minimum wage ($3.35 an hour, if I remember correctly) for the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources. I did a search for Statehouse Lake Youth Conservation Camp, and found this. It's just so sad. I look at those pictures.... the cabins I lived in, the lodge I relaxed in, the sauna by the lake I sat and sweated in, all just a family retreat now. And it was a place I wanted to send my children, to learn the value of nature and hard work. ~sigh~ It sucks when some things change. It's your life, live it! Jeanne, I realize you work for them, so probably can't say much, but if that's really what you are running, can you offer us some insight? How's the stability, GUI, memory leakage, hardware compatibility, ect? Enquiring minds want to know!

Clap clap clap clap Thanks Andrea. But I must also add, the more a believer distances him/herself from organized religion and relies on spirituality and faith, the less judgemental I tend to find them. Amazing how that works, huh? Both are believers in their own ways, but one is socailly acceptable to the majority, and one to the minority. It's your life, live it! After perusing my old posts, I came up with another suggestion for you, HH. Come to Rantoul every year.... Oh, and delete iskydiveto if you get any extra time (like, um, would 2023 be a good year for you?) It's your life, live it! Karma RB#684 "Corcho", ASK#60, Muff#3520, NCB#398, NHDZ#4, C-33989, DG#1

Your nicest aircraft to (solo) exit from?
RevJim replied to Erroll's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
My favorite solo exits are still: Last out solo, exit facing forward into a sit, from Mullins King Air. With either Mike or Charlie flying, if you tell them "solo, last out, I'm gonna sit and chase ya down" they will turn and dive on your count. It's sooooo freaking cool to fall with Mike for a few thousand feet. You loking at him, him looking at you, one inside the plane, one out. Awsome freaking visual! It's your life, live it! You people have got to be shitting me! Over 4 minutes? Dayum!!!!! I mean, I'm still new to the Bird Man suits, but I've been happy lately to keep my freefall numbers the same, time wise, while shortening my actual distance. Around 60 seconds in 6000 feet, on average, but I'm new, and just getting the hang of it. WOW, now that's a target to shoot for! It's your life, live it! Wow, hey! That's not what the post said when I clicked quote! Anyway, perfect depiction of Madonna, ice cold and trampy. Is that a trailer trash Marlboro too? It's your life, live it! Karma RB#684 "Corcho", ASK#60, Muff#3520, NCB#398, NHDZ#4, C-33989, DG#1

Yep, all except for the Plymouth part. Plymouth rock was nice and all, but not good enough for a German company to keep a floundering name alive. The last big seller for Plymouth was the Road Runner, from a scant 34 or 35 years ago. Sadly, Plymouth is going to way of the Dodo Bird. Time to rename the place Dodge Rock. Or Mercedes Rock. Or Qualcomm Rock. It's your life, live it! Karma RB#684 "Corcho", ASK#60, Muff#3520, NCB#398, NHDZ#4, C-33989, DG#1

eh, stop kissing up. you're still not getting my jedei. __ Um, er, aaahhhh..... Ya know, Stacy, I really, really wanted a Jedei 136. I simply LOVE the way they fly. After my hits of the Nylon Crack though, I'm quite happy with my old, square, original Sabre 150. Score another one for Bird Man, they help steer at least some people towards lower performance wings. For some darlin, maybe. For my family, it's all about Christ. I know, sounds corny, but we have been lighting a birthday candle for Jesus on Chrsitmas morning at my parents, and now my house, since I was born, and probably before, though I can't seem to remember those times. Good I-D-er. My wife asked me today why I was in such a pissy mood all weekend. I asked her when the last time I jumped was. She said, a couple of weeks ago in OH and IL. I said there ya go, I wanna jump, and I didn't get my fix. She then said that it didn't bother me much in the winter before to not jump. I told her that was different. I'm a Bird Man now. Get me to the freakin DZ before I go thermonuclear and implode! Yea, I'm a little stressed. Moving to CA or FL....how do I convince the wife...... It's your life, live it! 0:0:0 I get a Bird Man suit, and now have a reason to really, REALLY want to be at the DZ every weekend. So, what happens? SSDD, Wisconsin weather. Low clouds all last weekend, then sun all week. Then there was this weekend.... It started raining Friday, and it's still raining. It better clear up in time for a few Bird Man jumps next weekend, or I might go Postal. It's your life, live it! Rapidly approaching 5 months smoke free here. It is NOT easy, but it is sooooo worth it! The money I didn't spend in the last 5 months on smokes paid for my Bird Man suit, Neptune Altimeter, Hawkeye TM camera helmet, and a road trip from central Wisconsin to Ohio and Skydive Chicago. It's soooooo damn worth it! It's your life, live it! Karma RB#684 "Corcho", ASK#60, Muff#3520, NCB#398, NHDZ#4, C-33989, DG#1

That's pretty damn weak. RevJim, I am the kind of neutral where I really dislike what the US is currently doing with their foreign policy, nor am I a particular fan of the current president. I do like most people I have met from the US. I like the fact that the US does try to help and put some of their might and wealth to good use. I like what the US stands for in free and open markets and capitalism. The list goes on and on. So tell me, am I now anti or pro american? So, you're not "the swiss of neutrals". That much is obvious. I'll give you the neutral stance, but it is definately the "sitting on the fence not sure which way to go type of neutral. Actually, right now, I'd say you're more Anti-American, but with a President change you would probably be Pro-American. You're a Democrat, aren't you? It's your life, live it!
