So, has there been any new decency laws passed since the superbowl? None that I know of. What is happening here then? I'd say it's the FCC tighening down on rules and regulations that have been in effect, probably for many years. Why is this? Did Janet cause this? The government didn't change anything, it's just enforcing rules that have been overlooked for a long time. Why? Why now? Could it be the PUBLIC reaction to the Jackson nip incendent? What you people don't seem to realize is that it was NOT the government that pulled Howard, it was Clear Channel. Howard was paid by them, making him basically an employee. His contract (or his show's contract, whatever) was terminated. It was a business decision. Time will tell if it was a good or bad one, but the fact remains that unless you start your own radio station, someone will ALWAYS decide what you can and cannot listen to on the radio. I have no idea how Howard losing his contract has anything to do with govenment censors. Clear Channel drew a line in the sand. Howard didn't just step over it, he blew by it at a full bore run.
