When you say SB5100 router, do you mean modem? I'm running the Motorola SB4100 cable modem out to the Net in on the VT1005V. I run from the out on the VT1005V to the in on my Linksys BEFSR41 router, which in turn provides DHCP to 14 net outlets in my house. I haven't added a wireless yet, well, since I have no need for it. I get a small (very light) amount of static on 1 of about every 20 calls. Compared to typical land lines around here, that's quite acceptable. Yea, I'll admit, it took a bit to get used to dialing all numbers in the full 11 digit manner (1-xxx-xxx-xxxx). Speed dial does make a difference there. Odd. My device (Motorola VT1005V) has but a Cat5 in, a Cat5 out, a power in, and 2 phone outs (only one used). My routing goes from cable modem, into the VOIP device, and out to my DHCP router. No glitches at all. Sorry you had problems. All in all, I must admit, I'm actually quite impressed with the service, quirks and all, for the price. I have used MSN almso completely. I use google also, but only if I don't find what I was looking for in the first 2 pages of MSN. To date, I've never had to go past google. Don't let it get to you Slap. I posted here (well, in Wingsuits here) back in December about a WS reserve ride, and a person from that DZ attempted to rip me apart. It worked. Even though the posts have been modified and/or removed, I have not been back to that DZ since. The reserve ride was Dec 6th, and the last day there the 7th (reserve repack). Recently I have really been thinking about that. Why did I not go back? I really love the DZ. For the most part, I love the people. I really do love the DZO and his wife, as they are really, REALLY good people. Well, this weekend, I will return, weather permitting. From now on I leave it to a DZO to tell me to not come back. If it upsets someone that I go to a place, they can just deal with it. Bottom line, don't let them get to you. They got to me, and it took 4 months to realize they have no right to do that. Block yes, Dan, but I believe also a bigger issue is absorbtion vs. reflection. Black absorbs light, white reflects light. Black is good for blocking light and creating/trapping heat, while white is good for reflecting light as well as heat. As far as degredation, I don't know. I've heard both sides of the story, but was specifically warned against buying used black gear from the desert states. Actual technical specifications would be good. Kallend perhaps?
